The hotel

Situated on the barrier island of Indian Rocks Beach amid 15 waterfront acres, there's lots to do for those active bods out there. The hotel is located on the intracoastal waterway, with a marina that offers boat rentals and fishing charters. There's also a swimming pool with hot tub and sun deck for those more interested in lying back and taking it easy. Cruzan Rum Shack's waterfront tiki pool bar is on hand to mix you a poolside cocktail, while lunches can be enjoyed at Jimmy Guana's waterfront restaurant.

Where is it

Just 15 minutes from Clearwater Beach and 30 minutes to St Pete Beach, overlooking a beautiful stretch of the intracoastal waterways and only a few minutes' walk from Indian Rocks Beach, shops and local restaurants. The resort is served by the Pinellas Trolley Line*, making travel to Gulf beaches, Clearwater and downtown St Petersburg very easy indeed. Distance from Tampa International Airport: 24 miles.

164 rooms and suites on 3 floors in 1 building with 1 lift. All with air-conditioning, flatscreen TV, free HBO, tea/coffee-making facilities, mini-fridge, iron and board, and hairdryer. Hotel Rooms have a courtyard view with 2 queen-size beds, sleeping up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Studio Rooms with courtyard view, ceiling fan, coffee maker, kitchenette, 1 king-size bed and queen-size sleeper sofa or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Suites feature a full kitchen and dining area with coffee maker, a living room with queen-size sleeper sofa, and a separate bedroom with 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 6 adults or 4 adults and 2 children.

Villas feature 2 levels, occupying 1,200sq ft. The 1st level includes a living room with cathedral ceiling, queen-size sofa bed and TV, a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. The 2nd level features separate loft bedroom with 1 king-size bed, TV and bathroom with oversized in-room Jacuzzi, walk-in shower and 2 vanity units, sleeping maximum 5 adults or 3 adults and 2 children (with a rollaway*).

I stayed November 9-12th in a suite (room 131). Originally we were in a standard room, we had one little issue that the manager, Russ, fixed immediately and we were upgraded to a different room. Russ continued to make sure my stay was perfect. My room appeared to be recently updated. It was right on the water, over looking the harbor- which was amazing. The restaurant had an excellent breakfast selection. I also had lunch outside on the deck, also excellent. The bartender, Kevin, was also great. Within 3 blocks I was able to walk to the beach. I would 100% recommend watching the sunset! Overall- I would recommend this hotel. Read less

This place is so outdated, it’s in need of upgrades , probably hasn’t had any in over 20 years, the beds were the worst we’ve ever tried to sleep in. We could see black mold on the ceiling and encountered roaches. They charged $32.00 a day for parking and the water park next door, would have been nice to know in advance we were being charged for… Read more

TRAVELER BEWARE!!! This hotel booking was part of a package purchased through Southwest Vacations. Our reservation was October 26 - 31, 2023. We checked in on the 26th. Went to the first room only to be greeted with a horrible smell of mold & mildew. As if that wasn't bad enough, one look at the carpet, & we just wanted to get out of the room as soon as possible. The carpet was rumpled & badly stained. We went to speak with the manager. She moved us to a "renovated" room. The only thing renovated was the flooring. The flooring was nice. The room was furnished with OLD, worn out furniture, along with a nasty smelling, stained couch. Went back to the manger & requested a full refund. At this time her demeanor went from helpful to rude. Was told the hotel was unable to refund any money because this was part of a package. We called Southwest Vacations and confirmed this was not true. The SW representative spoke to the hotel manager three times. She then told us we did not cancel 72 hours in advance, therefore, no money could be refunded. Two different reasons for not giving us a full refund. The manager finally gave us a partial refund. Great location with the beach, local shops and restaurants being just a 5 minute walk away. We booked with BA holidays so the resort fee and parking charges didn’t affect us. The hotel is run down, the rooms have a mildew smell in them but our room was clean and spacious. The beds and pillows were really comfy.

This place is a mess and not healthy! The black mold was in all of the top rooms! All of the rooms are outdated, dirty and we saw several roaches! We had to look at 5 plus rooms to find one that was suitable. Most have sheer curtains that you can see right into the bedroom from outside!
