Where is it

Located on Madeira Beach, just west of St. Petersburg on the Gulf Coast of Florida. 2 blocks away from John’s Pass Village with it’s many shops, restaurants, and bars. Distance from Tampa International Airport: 26.5 miles. 

Hotel information

73 rooms consisting of single-space studios with compact kitchenettes, and suites with fully equipped kitchens. All with private balconies, cable TV, air conditioning, and complimentary WiFi access. Poolside Studios are 350sq ft consisting of a single space that includes 1 king-size bed and 1 sofa bed, a small kitchenette with fridge, microwave, sink, toaster, and coffee-maker. Sleeps maximum 4 people when utilising the sofa bed.

Please note: as this is a self-catering hotel, housekeeping services will not be included in your stay. Kettles available upon request, subject to availability.

The Beachfront Studios are 320sq ft consisting of a single space that includes a queen-size bed, a sofa bed, and a small kitchenette equipped with a fridge, microwave, sink, toaster, and a coffee-maker. These studios offer views of the Gulf of Mexico, sleeps maximum 3 people. 

Two Bedroom Partial Gulf View Suites are 850sq ft and are located on floors 2-4, with an equipped kitchen including oven and dishwasher, washer and dryer unit, separate living room, and two bedrooms each with a HDTV. One bedroom features a king-size bed, the other bedroom features a queen-size bed with a sofa bed in the lounge, sleeping maximum 6 people.

Great view and very comfortable room for my husband and I. We loved the quiet location. The whole property is very pretty and well-kept. I hope to go back! Tucked away are grills we’d use next time. Be sure to go to the rooftop patio to see the landscape vista!

Barefoot beach is beautiful the location is perfect and the staff are amazing especially Chris ! The beach is stunning and you are only 10 minutes walk to johns pass which is full of great restaurant’s and shops. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone. Thank you Barefoot beach Club for an amazing stay !

Its right on the beach with sand everywhere, inclusive of the bed. This makes it very hard to sleep. Extremely hard to find towels. Just didn't feel like a vacation with all the noise. This is a great choice. Close to the beach, quiet, lovely pool and facilities. The only reason for the 4 stars was the awful noise caused because of the renovations - really spoiled time spent chilling by the pool or on the balcony. If that hadn’t been the case it would be a straight 5 stars - brilliant accommodation.

Our family visited the Barefoot Beach Club following 10 days in the Orlando park madness. We really needed to rest and relax before heading back to the UK to feel like we had actually had a holiday! That is exactly what we got at the Barefoot Beach Club. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite which was gorgeous, really well-equipped, clean and with a beautiful view of the gulf. They have a really efficient system for getting new towels, and other essentials for the room. We never had an issue getting pool beds (and there were 7 of us), but if we had, you are just a step from the beach where there are beds for a small rental fee - as this is operated by a third party. They don’t have a bar or any shop on site so you will need to travel to get your essentials. But there are some great restaurants and shops on the boardwalk which is walking distance so you don’t have to go too far. We really liked that you could take your own drinks to the pool as our Orlando hotel didn’t allow this and the drinks from the pool bar there were extortionate. Overall, we had a really great stay. We would have given 5 stars had there been some other facilities available. They are in the process of installing a roof top bar so they are nearly there. Read less
