The hotel

The cool little sister to the famous The Don CeSar Hotel, Beach House Suites gives you access to all the luxuries of the main hotel, with the sumptuousness of a more secluded all-suite beach retreat. Taking its inspiration from the sands, this seaside sanctuary offers beach life in abundance, with a shorefront pool, ‘sun and surf’ activities and beach games. Its poolside tiki bar provides sunbathing snacks, but you also get full access to the dining and drinking venues at The Don CeSar Hotel, including its ice cream shop; The Rowe Bar, with coastal cuisine and cocktails served on a deck over sand dunes; and Maritana Grille, voted one of USA Today’s 10 best restaurants.

Where is it

Sitting right on the white sands of St Pete Beach, the hotel runs a free shuttle service to The Don CeSar Hotel, a mile away, where you get full resort privileges. The resort is around 15 minutes from a number of attractions, including the Sundial shopping, dining and entertainment complex, the Dali Museum and Chihuly Collection galleries, Fort DeSoto Park, with its swimming areas, canoe trails and picnic spots, and the ferry terminal for the 400-acre Egmont Key State Park. Distance from Tampa International Airport: 29 miles.

All with a private balcony, air conditioning, LED TVs in bedroom and living areas, WiFi, iHome radio, separate living and dining area, kitchenette with mini-fridge, dishwasher, microwave and induction hob, Keurig coffeemaker, hairdryer, washer and dryer, and iron and board. Superior Suites have bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sofa bed in living area, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Luxury Suites have partial Gulf view, bedroom with 1 king-size bed, 2 bathrooms, living area with sofa bed, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Self-parking $24 plus tax per day, and valet parking $31 plus tax per day (payable locally, subject to change).

Sand Dollar Bar (poolside tiki bar, open late morning to sunset). Room service*. Access to restaurants and lounges at The Don CeSar Hotel, including Maritana Grille (locally sourced food, open for dinner), Society Table (all day seaside dining), Uncle Andy’s Market (sundaes, shakes, breakfast bites, and Starbucks coffee, 6:00am-10:00pm), The Rowe Bar, Beacon Pool Bar & Lookout (poolside drinks and food) and Lobby Bar.

Beach House is nice enough, no complaints about the room, which was spacious with a nice sized kitchen. Beach House is nice enough, no complaints about the room, which was spacious with a nice sized kitchen. And pretty clean, except for an old Keurig pod in the coffee maker and dishes in the dishwasher. The one thing that totally unnerved me though was the excessive smoking from other guests. I complained to the front desk at least four times that smoke was coming into our room from the floor below and while they seemed to concerned, nothing ever got resolved. This is supposedly a non-smoking resort. It really put a damper on the stay. One more - I got a $250 resort food credit because of the length of our stay and found out when I got there that it could only be used at the Beach House, which only has a lunch food truck, not the larger hotel that has three restaurants. Short of buying the whole beach drinks, I could never have used it all. Read less

Tasha @ the sand dollar was fantastic. Rooms are always clean. Pool is amazing. Oceanfront staff is very accommodating. Our family has come for four years in a row for thanksgiving. Every year gets better!

We are from Tamoa Bay so just a couple of locals in for a quick romantic overnight. We don't mind kids, however lots of families, so not recommended for romantic vibes. Great suite, comfy bed, nice robes, and great service from Tasha at the Sand Dollar Bar. Would stay again. Thanks.

Great place right on the beach. We have stayed here multiple times. The staff is very friendly & accommodating. The bed are very comfortable and the suites are large. The balconies are awesome with great views. They offer shuttles to the Don Cesar but why leave?!?
