The hotel

Hip and most definitely happenin’, Postcard Inn on the Beach remains true to its surfer-cool, 1950 motel roots. U-shaped with an impressive swimming pool and a grove of mature royal palms at its core, it joins a new wave of stylish hotels at affordable, bound-to-please everybody prices! No two rooms are exactly alike, although all have vintage furniture, flat screen TV, high-speed Internet access and murals or a photographic collage of all things surfing-orientated on the wall. Try some regional American fare for dinner at the Stamps Lobby Bar and Restaurant. There’s also a beach bar and snack shack down by the ocean so you can grab a drink and a hot dog whilst soaking up the sun. Downtown St Petersburg is a few minutes away or spend time at the beach, indulging in a variety of water sports, including that all-important surfing!

196 rooms on 2 floors. All rooms with air-conditioning, flat-screen TV, WiFi, coffee maker, safe, hairdryer, iron and board on request. Classic King rooms are located on the quiet perimeter of Postcard Inn, have a seating area and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Classic Double Queen have 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults. 

Garden View Rooms are on the garden side of the hotel, with 1 king-size or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Poolside Rooms have a patio connected to the pool area, with 1 king-size or 2 queen beds, microwave and fridge, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

All attractions can be easily reached by hire car or local transport. The hotel is located on the beach which is a short walk from your guest room. Complimentary self-parking.

Let’s say if your kids come to you and want to have a sunset wedding at an intimate and fun location with gorgeous views, great rooms, fun environment, then look no further than the postcard inn. We had an incredibly great experience. From the first time we came to see the venue, planning with Merzedes Suarez, working with Group rates for Our Family, planning menus, the timing, special touches to guestrooms, etc. Every detail we wanted and some we had not thought of were met. The brides getting ready room was perfect. The locations for the after, the wedding light bites and cocktails near the volleyball Courts was beautiful. The dancing in the reception room on the second floor along with the food was perfect and their intro from the outdoor deck just so memorable. This was the wedding of their dreams and we are so glad we picked this place . We will definitely always remember this visit with fond memories and will be back in the future for smaller family vacations. Read less

We can’t say enough great things about PCI! The beds are comfy, the food & drinks are delicious, the sunsets are beautiful and the customer service is outstanding! From the moment we checked in until we departed, we were treated like family! We arrived later in the evening and were greeted with fresh chocolate chip cookies! The “Tinsel Town” experience was so festive and fun and definitely put you in the mood for Christmas! The lobby was warm and inviting and decorated beautifully. They even had a larger curling type game set up near the front desk. Once we got checked in, we headed to the bar to try one of their new holiday cocktails! Their menu was filled with themed snacks and delicious drinks like the Polar Express and the Mistletoe Mule. The atmosphere in the courtyard and the tiki bar is one of fun and friendship! The layout makes it easy to start up a conversation with your “neighbor” and encourages a sense of unity! There is so much to do at the hotel, but if you choose to venture out, there is a lot to see and do within walking distance. If you want to go a little further, Postcard Inn offers complimentary bicycles. Our entire experience was fantastic, but it was made even better by the wonderful customer service! Diego immediately recognized us from our prior visits and made sure we had everything we might need for our stay. Once we got checked in, Peter stopped by the room to help me finish inflating my paddleboard. Dave was fantastic at the pool and served up delicious sundaes and listened to my crazy ideas… lol. Finally, Solomon consistently goes out of his way to make sure every customer feels like an old friend! He is by far THE BEST BARTENDER on the beach… if not in the whole country! Super welcoming experience with Hannah and David at Stamps in the hotel lobby at three o'clock they do a spiced rum tasting which is delicious. Hotel grounds are a clean old Florida vibe right on the beach.

Hannah and David at the bar are A+. David made a homemade rum concoction that was excellent. The rooms are great and the hotel is too. This review is asking me to use 200 character so I’m adding filler. Tj o cinnamons

Our NC crew of 10 had the best time at PCI. 99% of the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Our flights got messed up and my husband and I had to extend our stay by a day.
