The hotel

Not only does CoCo Key offer great family rooms with plenty of space in the heart of Orlando, it boasts it's own water park too — one of the best in the area! With 14 slides, three heated pools and a state-of-the-art gaming arcade, kids of all ages can play to their hearts content all day, every day. You're also just a hop and a skip away from a myriad of Orlando attractions (including the theme parks), so there's never a dull moment! And although restaurants abound (you can walk to over 50 restaurants and shops), The Tradewinds Restaurant on-site is a great place to dine, feasting on deep south favourites, followed by amazing dessert selections. A daily entertainment program means the kids will be making friends in no time, including movies screened by the pool and interesting activities that are hosted by the hotel staff. Look for the hotel mascot CoCo in the morning and afternoon for photo opportunities.

391 rooms. All with air-conditioning, 37" flat-screen TV, telephone, WiFi (included in the resort fee), mini-fridge, coffee maker, safe, hairdryer, iron and board. Standard Rooms with 1 king-size bed and queen-size sleeper sofa or 2 double/queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Prefect hotel for families with kids! I was skeptical about the reviews as I have always wanted to try this place out. I am so glad we did. It was a last minutes hitch in our plans and ended up having to stay an extra night in Orlando. We decided to try it out and we were happy that we did. Our room was as ready in about a 1.5 hours after we booked it online. Once we arrive we waited about 30min before the room was ready. We used that time to check in and unload the car and get our bathing suits on. We ended up putting our stuff in the room and enjoying the pool area and water park the rest of the evening and the following morning before checkout. It is a very well maintained hotel. I would compare it to a Disney value hotel. Nothing Fancy but clean and well kept. The only issue was that some of the second floor rooms do not have an elevator so I would upgrade to a tower room or a ADA room next time. Not a big deal for us as we were able get the luggage up the stairs. The water park is well staffed with lifeguards. They were very understanding of my son’s Autism as he does have difficulty with directions. He had to evacuate the tall tower due to lightning and was upset and afraid to go down the stairs. I contacted the nearest lifeguard and told him that he may not come down because he is scared and has autism. He escorted me to the tower and I went with him to the top(I was scared too). Another lifeguard asked if I was okay as I was climbing the stairs and told him I’m scared of heights and offered his hand to help me. lol. I was able to get my son down and they were so helpful and understanding about it. The next day my son was going down a different slide that is under the canopy. This has a deeper end which is 5ft. My son is just barely 5 ft so I thought he would be able to reach the bottom. Unfortunately he panicked when he excited the slide in the water and started to tread water. He was doing great but yelled “Help me” and the girl life guard immediately jumped in and saved him! It was an eventual two days for our family filled ups and down but I am thankful we tried this resort! It was definitely worth it for us:-) Read less

Great stay, especially with children. They had a blast. I love the bar by the pool for easy access to the children. Elijah at the bar in the water park was amazing. Very charismatic, and cheerful. We will definitely be returning to the resort!

The place was awesome a to z nothing I could pick out that was an issue the staff was friendly and very attentive and the grounds were also maintained very well … not a full trash can even the ones further from the building definitely will be coming back with the family …..
