The hotel

This hotel is conveniently located half way between Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort™, it is the perfect contrast of incredibly convenient location and contemporary accommodation. You really are spoilt for choice around the hotel's 28 acres. The kids will love the two large swimming pools, keeping them cool and happy when they're not at the theme parks. Laguna is the main restaurant, with an atmosphere that is enlivened by regular seasonal entertainment (not to mention their tropical cocktails!).

Situated off I-4 and International Drive. 10-minute drive to Universal Orlando Resort™ and 15 minutes to Walt Disney World Resort. Driving time from airport: 15 minutes.

1,020 guest rooms in 17 buildings with 2–3 floors each and one 17-storey tower block with 2 lifts. All with air-conditioning, 42-inch HDTV, mini fridge, microwave, complimentary WiFi access, tea/coffee-making facilities, safe, iron and ironing board, and hairdryer.Standard Rooms with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Tower Rooms have 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

More like a hyped up motel, dark corridor, outlet not working for coffee maker, complained about shower drain not draining no one attended to it. Bathroom is small no place to even place glasses in the bathroom the washbasin is in the room which is fine. For the prices they charge the facilities need better maintenance.

Requested a quiet room; was assigned a room right above the “party” pool (with loud music and conversations until late into the night). Was not greeted with a cookie (standard HH practice). I informed the front desk that my room phone was dead; was told they would fix it the next day. Left a note to housekeeping on the bed about the phone and the very slow draining bathroom sink; nothing was repaired in the 3 days I was there. Daily resort fee includes 2 bottles of water daily—only in the room the first day. Nice bed linens. Nice café with a good staff. Otherwise, a tired property—definitely not 4-star. Read less

I am currently a guest just paid 20 dollars to keep my room on.... At reception I advised staff room had been cleaned but no coffee milk sugar or cups left for next morning!!! Assured would be delivered to room???? Returned to room 4 hours later no coffee etc... Had to walk to reception as phone wouldn't work!!!! Eventually a guy arrived with half… Read more

A special thanks to Tig. She was awesome and communicated thoroughly with me upon check in and my departure. She helped provide me my Hilton honor points. Job well Tig! The resort has a beautiful courtyard near the banquet hall and conference room spaces. Very friendly staff especially the workers.

I will start my review with the preface that given all the recent negative reviews of this hotel I probably would not have booked it if on vacation however as a guest of someone attending a conference I obliged to “tag along” in order to relax and unwind a bit.I began my stay with an open mind expecting the worst, hoping for the best and having a backup hotel just in case. Overall my expectations for this place were low but for the price I paid thru attending the conference (Around $110) I was pleasantly surprised. I certainly would not pay over $200 to stay here but for what I paid the value was accurate. The beds were comfy, the linens clean the pools were clean and inviting and the showers got me clean. Yes, I did have an issue with the plumbing, the AC unit leaked, the lighting was poor & the furniture dated but I wasn’t in the room much for it to bother me. The pools are one of the best positives I can give about this place as well as the friendly service I experienced. Thanks to Pamela the Hilton Ambassador who provided me with great conversation and appreciation for life. Alessandro at breakfast had a friendly smile in the morning which gave me a positive outlook for the day. If your expecting accommodations akin to The Ritz you WILL be dissatisfied. However if you can get a room for a decent price it’s spot on for the value. Read less
