We booked this one primarily because of the pool/lazy river. We're 2 30 somethings who enjoyed some r&r and pool cocktails. Decided to get a day bed for the day and imo it was well worth it. Julian helped us throughout the day and was great at making sure we had everything we needed. My only complaint (is that there is a 18% gratuity added for the cost of the day bed, and did not go to Julian, so what does it go to, most day beds we have rented have the option to leave a tip, not require one?) The DJ by the pool was a nice touch. The rooms are lovely, nice and spacious, ask for an upgrade to lake view if possible, sunsets do not disappoint. Many restaurants on site, our favorite is Primo but we popped into the Kitchen to say Hi to one of our favorite sassy bartenders Seth. He's so fun and makes a great espresso martini. The lobby bar is great for sports and after a long walk down the hall you can go to the Ritz bar which stays open a little later and is more of a louder (but fun) crowd. Always shut it down here! Things to be aware of, there is no way out of getting out of the $50 resort fee (lot of amenities so i get it) and $35 i think for parking so almost at $100 before anything. Read less

Beautiful hotel. We enjoyed four wonderful nights here. The pool is incredible, the slides ( no queue!) were a big hit with the children. Lovely relaxing ambiance and plenty of sun loungers. Our connecting rooms were spotless with great views. We had a fantastic round of golf, complete with alligators and vultures! Special thanks to the breakfast team at Citron. Fabulous food and what a warm and friendly team, who go out of their way to create a positive environment. We ate in most of the restaurants and enjoyed the Ritz Carlton. Would definitely recommend staying at the JW to families. Read less

Would be nice to know that we could use the pool at the Ritz. Because the pool at the jw it was a bit crowded and it took us a while to find a chair with an umbrella since we had a baby with us, when we did it was next to chairs that had a big mess of food the server came to clean after a long time and did not offer any menus or never came back. It felt like they were understaffed. We figured out on our own after walking to the ritz that we could use there pool and there service was outstanding. The only people that were wonderful at the Jw was Yuri housekeeper and Maya the concierge. Next time we will stay at the Ritz. Read less

This hotel has once again exceeded our expectations. The Citron brassiere ( for breakfast) was excellent. The croissants were very good and Don manning the omelette bar deserves a HUGE raise as he proved he could manage up to eight orders at once. What a superstar! The gym which is shared with the Ritz-Carleton was large, clean with a great variety of equipment and a chilled towel to finish off your workout with was an elegant touch. The knife burger food had large portions and convenient for pool side lounging. The pools were a perfect temperature as were the hot tubs. The valet’s worked hard to expedite the retrieval of your vehicle. The lobby bar had a wonderful menu with many east coast favourites. Thank you JWMarriott you’ve done it again. Can’t wait to come back !!! Read less

As far as hotel goes, great pools, landscaping and lakes make every view beautiful. Mario took care of us at the pool restaurant multiple times. He was great. Pools were busy this week. Julien offered drinks many times even with busy pool. Had breakfast daily at Citron and great service from restaurant staff Sidney and Kathy were very nice. Absolutely loved Jonathan as our server. Wonderful personality and soon to be doctor as he is also attending dental school! Resort fee covers free mountain bike rental. Sophia and one other (forgot her name) got us hooked up and we took off road bike trail which is nice and takes about 30 min and is close by You can also ride entirely on paved paths if desired. Fitness center is next door (5 min walk) at Ritz and very nice with complimentary waters, towels, and nice staff. Location is great. We did not go to parks but many did. This is a family filled resort with many kids going to Disney/ Universal. We were close to many restaurants and stores and able to drive most anywhere in 20 min or less. Depending on Marriott status continental breakfast included and can be uprgraded for $9. Breakfast can get busy after 9:00 but a huge selection. Overall loved our stay. Read less
