We stayed at the Rosen Centre because my daughter was competing in a cheer competition, and we were required to stay at one of the Rosen properties. The Rosen Shingle Creek was reserved for the coaches, and the competitors were sent to the Centre. This hotel seems to mainly do conferences and events as it is attached to the Orlando Convention Center, and the hotel itself has lots of large ballrooms. That being said, I'm not entirely convinced that the hotel is set up to handle its capacity efficiently. There is inadequate check in parking, so we ended up parking in the lot and walking to check in. Check in took 30 minutes due to the long lines, although I heard horror stories of people waiting 90-120 minutes! There are only 10 elevators for guests, so you can be waiting for a long time during the prime hours around meals, check in and check out. The room itself was fine. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were the right density. The air conditioner was powerful. One of the bedside lamps did not work, and one of the USB ports also seemed to not work. The noise from the hallway was pretty loud. The bathroom was a bit outdated. The sink tended to run very hot, and the shower had poor flow and also ran cold. I bought breakfast at the 24 hour convenience store/bodega on the 1st floor. The hot food was generic but served quickly. The prices are standard for a hotel lobby. It's a short walk to Denny's, where you can eat for less, if you have the time for a sit down breakfast. I only paid $106/night, so I'm not complaining too much, but I advise anyone staying here to give yourself a lot of time to get around the place and check in. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating A gigantic 2.5-star hotel

Stayed at Rosen center for a conference at the Hyatt convention center. Rosen center was more a like a gigantic 2.5 star hotel than a 4 start hotel. The room decor makes me remember the early 2010s and desperately needs renovation. Had multiple issues with the room. The safe never worked because the battery was dead on Day 1. There was no hair dryer in the room. The water flow in the shower was very low. Breakfast buffet was disgusting. Cashier at the Red's deli was impatient and rude. Overall this so-called 4 star hotel is not even as good as a holiday inn. Though the location was good and close to the convention centers. The burger I ordered for room service was delicious. The response was that parking was not charged for guests with one day booking. When i checked out - there were no charges that needed to be settled. I found a $30 parking fee on my credit card that was provided as security deposit. I contacted the Rosen Hotel. The Call Centre Assistant Manager responded to my email once. Since then there has been silence. Emailed a few times since and the response was checking with the front desk. Other emails went unanswered. I did indicate a response either way would be appreciated. Extremely disappointed with the poor communication and that a charge of $30 was taken out of my credit card. I understand that Rosen may want to charge for parking. $10 is reasonable. I had the option of returning the rental car that day. Ho do you justify $30 in an area that is not in the city centre. The hotel hosted our conference and was outstanding. There are five restaurants onsite, a 24/7 shop for snacks and drinks, and a small shop with nice gifts.
