The hotel

This hotel really goes out of its way to keep you and the kids amused with lively karaoke nights in the Zebras Sports Bar and Grille. It also serves food until midnight, plus there is a late-night deli, which is handy for night owls. This is a big hotel with 3 swimming pools and a family restaurant with an excellent kids eat free programme, guaranteed to help your budget no end. Opposite is the Pointe Orlando shopping area with some cool clothes shops and 21 cinema screens. We stayed here for 2 weeks, and agree that the rooms are a bit dated, but you don't stay here for a luxurious room. There was only 2 of us in the room and we had enough space, the room was cleaned everyday. It is perfectly positioned for the many restaurants and nightlife that idrive has to offer, and the iride trolley stop is right outside the hotel, as is the stop for the lynx bus which for $2 a person gets you from international drive to the magic kingdom. There is a small gym on site and we saw 2 pools with plenty of sunbeds, there is a little shop which we didn't use, a shop selling tshirts, ice creams and coffee. As part of staying with Virgin we had 2 free breakfasts and 1 free dinner, we didn't use the dinner as we were at the theme parks late most days, but the breakfast had lots of options and was a great surprise. There is a free shuttle running 3 times in the morning to Universal, you just need to book on the day before. There was security around the site so you felt very safe, and I would definitely stay here again. Read less

We absolutely loved this hotel. Rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. Hotel itself had very helpful and friendly staff and was very welcoming. Although I like the location of the hotel, the staff I interacted with is nice and friendly, two things make me unfortunately rate this hotel at two. 1. Room cleanliness is lacking. Spiderwebs hanging off the ceiling, hair in the tub, leaving the bathroom counter dirty, not cleaning water marks accidentally left by a coffee cup for several days in a row, not to mention the lack of vacuum of the carpets are some of the things I noticed during my stay. 2. WiFi, we are in Orlando, Florida, not a remote location somewhere in the middle of the desert or the mountains, I am sure I was not the only guest who was here for work. In 2019, WiFi is a necessity, not a luxury. A spotty at best wifi, reported several times that never was fixed. I was transferred few times to the technical department with wait time of over 40 minutes, I am sure I was not the only one calling. After an 8-day stay nothing has been resolved. Read less

We stayed as an add on to our transatlantic cruise! Slightly shocked that our room was more like a motel but after a couple of days we enjoyed it. Certainly a hotel with no frills but it was clean and tidy! Service was good! Maintenance was called as our Air Con stopped! Fixed by a great guy within an hour. We didn't eat in the hotel as we… Read more

Certainly a hotel with no frills but it was clean and tidy! Service was good! Maintenance was called as our Air Con stopped! Fixed by a great guy within an hour. We didn't eat in the hotel as we always like eating out! Found a Millers Ale House across the road which was great! The best part was the location! Fantastic for Disneyworld! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the coffee was superb!! Read less

I stayed here while attending a convention. First very slow check in. But when I got to room it was nice and clean. Bed was ok but the pillows were very small. When I woke up in the morning on my last day I turned on bathroom light and found 4 roaches running around on floor. When I went to check out I told Nancy what I found on floor and she just… Read more

When I woke up in the morning on my last day I turned on bathroom light and found 4 roaches running around on floor. When I went to check out I told Nancy what I found on floor and she just had a very nonchalant attitude about the roaches. So her attitude got them a low rating. When your front desk doesn’t care it’s bad for business. Read less
