Check in was easy and staff at the counter were friendly and informative about the area. We even got a king size bed upgrade. The room looks recently renovated. There is a small fridge and microwave in the room also. There is a small store in the lobby and two restaurants on the property. I can't say the quality since we didn't eat there. It is right across I-4 from Universal Studios which would be convenient. Overall a great place and a low cost. Would definitely stay here agaio. Read less

I don’t understand the 4* & 5* reviews for this hotel? It is a basic room to stay which has all amenities including warm water and air conditioning in an ideal location however.... On arrival after a long journey we opened the door to be welcomed with a damp smell in the room which was due to the air conditioning unit which also proved to be noisey at night. We are a family of 5 and the pic attached is the largest room available of which the hotel states that the rooms can accommodate 5 persons? Our travel agent sold it to us for a room that would accommodate 5 however when we arrived to find no 5th bed this was the second let down. So we went down to reception and told them the situation we found the attitude from the reception staff to be not rude but definitely not helpful and quite matter of fact so much so we were asked to pay for a ‘put up bed’ which we had already paid for. The next morning we phoned our travel agent to be advised they shouldn’t of charged us and our monies will be refunded which they were but we had to spend time phoning and stating the facts on our dream holiday which we could of done without. If you are a family of 5 please be advised you will have NO space in your room to walk around due to the put up bed positioned between the 2 double beds (see photo). So after our first nights sleep we went down to breakfast to be advised our breakfast had not been paid for by Hayes Travel who had taken over from Thomas Cook of which we had not been advised by our travel agent. Hayes Travel we’re responsible for the payment as they had taken on the responsibility of our booking, however when we went to reception we were again greeted with just enough smile but no more and they didn’t seem to care that we were on our dream holiday wedged in like sardines and then to be told no breakfast!! We spent a few hours ringing home again to ask the travel agent to get this sorted as it was now ruining our holiday. Our travel agent confirmed payment had been made and we could continue as normal for the 14 nights which we did. Upon checkout we were then advised the breakfast had NOT been paid by Hayes Travel and was asked for a payment slot which I declined. I phoned the travel agent for the last time to advise and this is still being resolved by Hayes Travel. Overall I am very fair as I am a businessman myself and understand what good service looks like. This is an average hotel with average food in a great location nothing more, if you are looking for a reasonable level of service with a smile I suggest you do some research. Definitely not suitable for 5 persons in a room and should not be advertised as so. Read less

We are just packing up now for our flight home and thought we would add our thoughts about this hotel. Staff at reception were spot on and very helpful on the few occasions we needed them. House keeping kept on top of our room daily while not interfering with our items. The location is very good. Near restaurants shops, Iride and Lynx bus stops and makes International drive very accessable. It is also close to pick up points for Busch gardens and other longer trips. The room is not flash, it is basic. The air con is noisey but similar to other Orlando hotels we have stayed in. We found a couple of small bugs in our room. They did not interfere with us or bite us or cause us any distress. Florida is a tropical climate so there will be some somewhere on any visit here. The beds were comfortable, the water was hot and all the plumbing worked fine. The fridge was cold and the sockets charged our mobiles. The only reason this hotel doesn't score a five is that on arrival we enquired about the free shuttle buses at the desk for trips and tickets (not reception,) and the first thing we were asked is whether we used a credit or debit card. A bit fishy. But overall this is a good hotel for an Orlando holiday. Read less

My first impressions were not great with the receptionist. She looked like I had come in the wrong place then when I asked where the nearest supermarket or shop etc (different expressions asked) she said she said she doesn’t know of any near. I couldn’t quite believe it. There were shops/garage with foods for snacks and other stores nearby which were fine. Rooms were at a good standard, yes dated but doesn’t bother me. Always had plenty of towels and they made beds everyday. Our room overlooked international drove to my left and a pool to the right. Never had a problem with noise apart from the Saturday night, loudest music ever from somewhere woke us at 3am but only lasted about half hour. We had breakfast everyday and was at a good standard. We tried the dinner buffet once and we found it cold apart from the mash potato and they’d run out of ice cream which we wasn’t told and that’s what my son wanted. We didn’t make a fuss but mentioned it to the lady seeing us in and she didn’t know how to handle it and went and told the chef. We then heard lots of commotion in the kitchen which made us feel uncomfortable. The restaurant seems to be run by at least over 65’s. My mum is 67 and felt quite young. It seemed a bit like a scene out of ‘caccoon’ the 80’s film. They didn’t do things quick and responses were quite funny. Found guest services really unhelpful. Again it’s like I’d come to the wrong place. I double checked what stop we were on itrolly (no 10 or 9) either is fine and close and they told me number 5 or 6. After much discussion they realised they were wrong and what I was telling them was right. They didn’t seem to know where they were or what they were doing. I did see another receptionist another day and she was more with it and friendly so can’t be them all. We used Lynx taxis to get to universal approx 7-8 dollars a trip for a 4 seater. The free shuttle was so overcrowded I only used it once. We went to Walmart and cost the same. It did seem really tired outside the hotel and I never got great service from a lot of restaurants that I went in which I was surprised at. Game changers were good and food was ok, so close to hotel. The grounds were kept really well at the hotel and never rubbish about. Overall I was happy with my time at Rosen inn international and I would come beck. Was a good base to go to universal 😊 Read less
