Rosen Shingle Creek

International Drive, Orlando

The hotel

This isn’t just a holiday resort, it’s a world in itself with so many restaurants and leisure amenities to choose from. For starters, there’s the Arnold Palmer Design Company 18-hole golf course and 4 heated outdoor swimming pools, including 1 wading pool for the kids, one for the sporting amongst you, one for the entire family and one that treasures an altogether quieter atmosphere! The Spa at Shingle Creek is perfect if you want to pamper yourself, with an Everglades scrub and body wrap perhaps or an aromatherapy massage. Alternatively, challenge some new-found friends to a game of tennis, basketball or sand volleyball or simply admire the abundance of nature that surrounds you on a nature trail. Sometimes we say when it comes to dining look no further than your hotel, well, with this hotel, you really don’t need to stray further afield — there are eateries, lounges and bars galore! Mi Casa Tequila Taqueria tailor-makes guacamole to your taste whilst A Land Remembered serves some of the finest steaks in Orlando. Cala Bella, with its high-arched vaulted ceilings is the place to feast on Italian cuisine or tuck into sumptuous buffet dishes courtesy of Cafe Osceola. Guest rooms are very spacious indeed with stunning views of the golf course, from the perfectly manicured fairways and greens to the picturesque creek resplendent with cypress trees — making it even harder to believe that the world’s best theme parks are just a few minutes away!

I was at the Rosen Shingle Creek for a conference and I was pleasantly surprised. I go to a fair amount of conferences, so my expectations are generally low. The meeting rooms are very spacious and elegantly decorated. I got in super early and they upgraded my reservation to a suite for free since that was open. I loved it! It was a bit awkward since it was just me, but if I had a group of friends, that would have been one heck of a party. The hotel is close to Universal, but a bit of a drive to Disney. It was about a $15-$20 Uber to Magic Kingdom. I had some time to spend at the parks, though there is so much to do at Shingle Creek that I could have stayed and had a full day at the hotel. I absolutely loved the little food court available. It's nice to have options, especially not having a car or wanting to go far. The Mexican place was so delicious, great service (Wolfe was fabulous!!), and the margarita was giant. The food itself is a reason to come to this hotel! My only regret is that I wasn't there long enough to use the pool or spa! I will definitely have to come back. This place is a destination itself! Read less

Where to start, security at front gate friendly and helpful, staff at the desk when checking in and other requests we had throughout our stay were very helpful and professional. Well stocked shop with a nice ice cream selection. Good choice of restaurants inside the hotel. The hotel is large and never felt busy even though there were conferences going on during our stay. Pools were lovely and open late. Rooms were large and spotlessly clean. We had gorgeous views from our 13th floor room. After a day at the parks we couldn't wait to return to the hotel to chill out at the pool. We can't wait to return! This hotel made what would have been a good holiday a fantastic holiday! Read less

A short cab ride from Orlando airport, this large hotel was a pleasant stay for a week's business trip. I chose it as a nice option relatively near to the conference centre (about a 10 minute drive, your conference might lay on a free bus as mine did). There's a large parking lot as it holds it's own conferences on site as well in a separate wing. It's quite well appointed - a somewhat classic US hotel I'd say - large rooms, a little dated in parts in terms of decor with friendly staff all over the place. Food + drink options were good everywhere I tried, including some good beer options in the bars. There's a golf course, multiple swimming pools, and a short walking route (<2 miles) in the grounds. Wifi was solid for video calls, even on the free option. Wasn't crazy busy, even in conference season and felt like there was space everywhere. Read less
