The restaurant is on the left hand side of the entrance of the hotel. The setting is beautiful with a view of the golf course if you are sitting on the exterior edge of the dining room. The dining room is not huge but it is elegant with wood trims and alligator leather on some seats. The reception was warm and attentive. We were seated in a jiffy and offered drinks in no time. This is a steakhouse and they do a good job cooking the steak exactly as ordered. They had excellent scallops as well. They have a good wine list with very respectable wine by the glass. We were served very well and the meal was very enjoyable. Towards the end of our meal, a large group of conventioneers settled beside us, began making speeches, and alcohol helping, became loud and boisterous. That precipitated our departure. Otherwise, everything was first class. Mobility challenged persons would n-ot have issues here. This is not really a place for kids. Read less

My only feedback for the hotel was that from my lobby level room I could clearly hear the background Muzak all night on 3 nights of my stay, not sure why and I still slept well - the bed was extremely comfortable. I experienced some oddball problems during my stay (a salt shaker without any holes?), but overall the physical facilities are decent. Unfortunately, I have to fail the hotel based on its services. I checked in on January 21. Within an hour, someone unlocks my door and attempts to enter my room, without any warning. Fortunately, I have the security latch enabled. But I obviously demand to know who they are. At first she says “housekeeping” and that she didn’t realize the room was occupied. I demand a name. She says “a supervisor.” I demand an actual name. Only then does she provide one. I call the front desk and demand that they send up a manager. Mr. Travis Goldfarb arrives a short time later. He is apologetic but uninformed. He says that it was a wellness check, which the hotel performs each afternoon. I point out that doesn’t even make sense - an unoccupied room doesn’t need a wellness check. He claims that the matter will be addressed. Only after I insist does he say that he will provide a further response. Later, Mr. Goldfarb calls and says that the problem was that a housekeeper failed to remove an indicator for a supervisor to check the room. I ask if it was standard protocol to knock, even if a room is labeled as unoccupied. Mr. Goldfarb says that it is. I point out in that case the supervisor breached protocol even if the housekeeper made an error (never mind her refusal to identify herself). Even later, they send up the Director of Housekeeping, Ms. Nancy Stock, to apologize. She at least seems more sincere than Mr. Goldfarb, but also adds that the supervisor claimed to have knocked. So it appears that the supervisor isn’t apologetic at all but is lying to try to save her skin. Obviously, the hotel needs to retrain all of its employees - and fire the specific supervisor at issue. Guest privacy and security should be priority #1. Entering a guest room unannounced should be absolutely prohibited (as should refusing to give one’s name, or lying to management…) - and not just for the benefit of guests. Given that Florida is a stand-your-ground state, entering a guest room unannounced might be the last thing that an employee ever does. Read less

Thankfully the convenience shop on the ground floor is open 24/7 for late flights and the restaurants had delicious foods for every appetite. Even an impossible burger for vegans. The fitness gym is $20 per visit. Something that hadn’t been disclosed by our travel provider. But reasonable for the equipment. Can get busy though. Read less
