The hotel

This isn’t just a holiday resort, it’s a world in itself with so many restaurants and leisure amenities to choose from. For starters, there’s the Arnold Palmer Design Company 18-hole golf course and 4 heated outdoor swimming pools, including 1 wading pool for the kids, one for the sporting amongst you, one for the entire family and one that treasures an altogether quieter atmosphere! The Spa at Shingle Creek is perfect if you want to pamper yourself, with an Everglades scrub and body wrap perhaps or an aromatherapy massage. Alternatively, challenge some new-found friends to a game of tennis, basketball or sand volleyball or simply admire the abundance of nature that surrounds you on a nature trail. Sometimes we say when it comes to dining look no further than your hotel, well, with this hotel, you really don’t need to stray further afield — there are eateries, lounges and bars galore! Mi Casa Tequila Taqueria tailor-makes guacamole to your taste whilst A Land Remembered serves some of the finest steaks in Orlando. Cala Bella, with its high-arched vaulted ceilings is the place to feast on Italian cuisine or tuck into sumptuous buffet dishes courtesy of Cafe Osceola. Guest rooms are very spacious indeed with stunning views of the golf course, from the perfectly manicured fairways and greens to the picturesque creek resplendent with cypress trees — making it even harder to believe that the world’s best theme parks are just a few minutes away!

Once I entered the building, the Registration Desk representative did not seem very happy seeing so many guests check-in. Not a good welcome. The room was good, spacious but lacked cleanliness. I need to highlight 2 main points here – 1. The coffee machine was placed near the wash area. I usually brew a cup of coffee during my hotel stay but this one was covered with dust. I did not even touch it. 2. The pillow cover had a gaping hole. It was disappointing. The restaurant space is awesome with a wide variety of cuisine. Also, the shop near the swimming area is sufficient for basic needs. I stayed for 2 nights and it was pleasant except for some minor issues in the room I have mentioned earlier (which explains the low rating). Read less

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Rosen Shingle Creek for a week due to a conference. This place is stunning, the property is very large and there is a lot to do while on the property. I had the guest room on the 6th floor and the suite was very large. It was extremely comfortable and nice to come back to after a day of the conference.… Read more

When the Hilton oversold their hotel, they bumped us here. As someone who came to Orlando a few times a year I’ve never stayed at such a large, beautiful, accommodating, clean resort. Lots of eating options, I loved the market downstairs, the spa was ah-mazing (see separate review)- I’m going to recommend this to all my friends! Read less

This hotel is truly amazing! The rooms are contemporary and clean. The property itself is awesome. The pool areas are nice. There is a kid pool and adult pool so you can relax without chaos. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up for this grand hotel!

I was not convinced at first and wanted to find another hotel nearby. I am glad I did not. I thought it was going so busy that I would not be able to rest. To the contrary. The only downfall was the elevators: had to wait too long for one at times, but considering I was presenting at a big convention, it was not too bad.
