After inspecting the mattresses, baseboards & sofa we found numerous infestations of bed bugs & reported to Casiola, the management company for Vista Cay Resort. They sent their pest control into our room #409 @ 4328 Cayview avenue & confirmed the infestation. They contacted us while we were at universal studios & informed us we had to check out. They said they could not provide us another room because they couldn’t risk US transferring THEIR bedbugs to another condo! Management informed me this was “POLICY” & they could not accommodate us! This place is horrific! Horrible cleaning services & complete lack of customer service! CASIOLA has ruined our family vacation & we were out out on the street our first day of our 8 day vacation. I am out over $7,000 in park tickets & travel expense with no rooms available! This place needs to be properly exterminated & Casiola needs to take responsibility for their lack of proper cleanings & inspections of these rooms! Read less

I would like to preface this by saying this review is strictly on the customer service experienced from the Casiola team as we never actually stayed at the property. We contacted this property on June 30th requesting a cancellation and full refund due to a sudden family issue that required one of our party being hospitalized. We understood the cancellation policy but asked for a courtesy due to our circumstances, which the hotel agreed to. However since then, we have had to contact the hotel several times to follow up on our refund. We were in email and phone contact with several members of the Casiola team such as Joycemilit, Nicole and Ashley and constantly redirected to contact Expedia for our refund. This resulted in literal hours of queue time waiting for Expedia agents to contact us to only then be informed the HOTEL denied our refund. Clearly, there is a fundamental lack of communication between the team members at Casiola. Imagine being in and out of hospitals and having to personally call in all the time to follow up. It is now 2 weeks since we originally contacted the property and we have yet to see a refund or even on a more basic level, have someone from the team follow up with us. We are repeat guests of the Vista Cay Resort (managed by Casiola) and the inattentiveness of the staff as well as the inability to provide customer service in this situation and go above and beyond to assist us on this matter has terribly soured our experience of this property. Orlando has plenty of beautiful resorts to choose with empathic and attentive staff, I would highly recommend staying elsewhere with your family. Read less

Those considering Vista Cay must understand it has a more residential feel than a resort. Even so, it offers large, comfortable accommodations at very competitive prices, and an excellent budget option within a short drive of the major Orlando theme parks. Do NOT expect daily housekeeping, onsite dining, vending machines, etc. that you might expect at a traditional resort or hotel. However, free parking, WiFi and large rooms are the major benefits of Vista Cay, which is more of an AirBnB/Vrbo accommodation than a resort. The pool area and hot tub are large, but very busy. Pool bar is adequate for typical poolside cocktails, and adjacent arcade offers only a few options for the kids. No pool towels (i.e. bring what is available from your room). Front desk is relatively small, but helpful albeit with limited hours. Our family of four had a somewhat negative experience with more than a few shooting off illegal fireworks in the parking lot late at night on July 4. Although we understood the circumstances, we still would have liked to see the presumably limited security staff to have been quicker to respond. Otherwise, we rate this option a great value in that we received triple the space for about half the cost of the theme park resort hotels. Read less

My husband , daughter and myself recently stayed at vista cay for a vollyball tournament. Sadly our condo and the surrounding landscape could not have been less appealing. . We where so happy to get away from vista cay. Will never stay there again.
