We stayed here in September 2024 as a family holiday to Florida and in the main it was good hotel, although we had an issue with items going missing from one of our rooms and the hotel didn't seem to be interested in helping us about it. We had 2 rooms here as there was 5 of us, on arrival after our long haul flight we were checked in really quickly and given lots of good information about the bus to Disney/Universal and other bits about the resort. The rooms were really big with 2 queen sized beds which were quite hard although we were more than happy with that, the rooms also had a fridge which was great for keeping snacks and drinks in, also a microwave although we never used it. The housekeeping seemed to happen late in the day although we only really noticed that in the days we were at the pool as by the time we got home from park days the rooms were made up. The pool itself is great, its a good size and it was never busy, we always got 5 loungers together no matter what time we went down, its opened 7am-11pm, there are also towels provided which again was bonus. The bar at the pool was good as well and reasonably priced and the 2 member of staff (sorry forgot their name) were really friendly and service was so quick. The buses to Disney/Universal ran a couple of times a day when we were there although we always went for the earliest one we could to get to the parks for opening times, both the bus drivers we had were very friendly. I would have given this hotel a 5 but for the situation with the missing items taken from our son's room, he had a couple of tshirts in a bag that he bought towards the end of the holiday and they went missing, he spoke to the reception about it and they said they would see what they could do but he never heard anything, when we checked out I asked again about them and was told by Duty Manager (Doris) we will let you know if they turn up, I'm not sure that was a good enough reply but what else could we do on our last day. All in all, I think we would stay at the hotel again because I think the hotel itself, the location and basically everything ticked the boxes we needed from it. Read less

There are lots of restaurants and takeaways near the hotel, and even more a short drive away. There is a 7eleven right next door to the hotel too. There is a shopping outlet less than 10 min & international drive is very close too. We did walk to Disney springs a couple of times and only took us about 25-30 minutes if your up for walking in the heat, if not it’s only about $8 for an uber or Lyft there. Just bear in mind when you check in we had to pay for tax when we got here, we were here for 10 days and the tax was $159. We only used the pool a couple of times but was a decent sized pool and they give you towels to use in the pool area, the pool was a little bit dirty on the floor of the pool but nothing to worry about too much. Overall had a great stay here and was perfect for what we needed! Read less

Stayed 21 nights booked through BA. I thought it was a bargain given the location, facilities, and free parking and lack of resort fee (check BA are including this when you book!). Turn left to park outside reception when you arrive, as you need a key card to enter the car park. Friendly quiet check in, straightforward and very efficient. I’d emailed ahead to request a high floor if possible. They kindly made sure our (prebooked) KidSuite A was on the top (6th) floor, facing towards the pool, looking toward Epcot and Downtown Disney/Springs. At 9pm, you could see both the Disney Springs laser/drone light show and next to it the Epcot fireworks, due to the angle the room was pointing! The room itself was a good size, the kids liked their partially walled-off kidsuite area, especially having their own TV. As others have said, the king size bed for us was massive and incredibly comfortable, slept like a log. The bedding is blanket based rather than duvets as is common in the US, but takes getting used to! The decor is standard Floridian, vibrant colours. Room service was quite late in the day sometimes but always came and did a good job. Sometimes I just handed them rubbish and towels if we didn’t want to be disturbed, but they were happy to service the bathroom while we were in there, if needed. Remember to leave a tip each day, around $1 per guest per day in the US; we leave it on the end of the bed. One day we wanted showers before they came. I called reception and a huge bag of towels and bits for the coffee machine was delivered. The Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion and hand wash were a nice touch. The room phone never seemed to be answered when I pressed the front desk button. But call the googled Holiday Inn number for the hotel (local calls are free), et voila! Answered straight away ;) Only needed front desk twice more due to blocked toilets, they were there in a flash both times and sorted in a jiffy. Suspected it was their plumbing not us, as the handyman had an enormous plunger that looked well used!!! The pool was lovely, perfect temperature for us. It was usually empty at 7am so we swam before going to the parks. Quite noisy music in the evenings but the air con was loud in the room to cover. Hot tubs only used once, they looked like they could do with a revamp. Didn’t do any of the activities but there’s a sheet in reception on the way to the pool if you want to. Didn’t try the pool bar as we were there before they opened each morning. When we saw any Disney pools on this trip (Grand Floridian, Pop Century, Yacht Club - check out the ice cream parlour!), they were rammed to the hilt. This pool was never full, and we were allowed to use massive inflatables with no one batting an eyelid. The little kitchen area in the room was useful. Fridge is standard UK size. Freezer compartment was pretty useless, managed to half freeze things, so ok for ice blocks but wouldn’t store meat! Microwave and fridge were immaculate. Pick up a Pyrex lidded bowl in Walmart and you can do hotdogs, soup etc. I took plates and cutlery with us, and washing up liquid. Didn’t use the coffee machine but it had decaf and standard coffee pods, teas and green tea. Sugar and coffee whitener with spoons provided too. I did laundry 3 times and the machines were good. Took 8 25c/quarters per wash or dry. Reception were happy to give change for notes. The fourth time was check out day, walked in the laundrette and all that was left were holes in the wall, on all 6 floors! Reception said they were being refitted, good for future guests, not so much for us! They kindly gave us a late check out and parking voucher for Holiday Inn Disney Springs so I could do the laundry there. We enjoyed revisiting (stayed there 10 years ago) and sat by the pool whilst the laundry ran, so worked out ok in the end. Remember to take washing liquid with you, or buy in Walmart. There is a small shop at the hotel (closed for refurbishment when we left) too. Had breakfast once at Applebees which was average, only because we’re British and vegans I think, if grits and sausage links are your thing you’ll be fine! There was a wide choice of fruit and cereals etc. the kids liked the make-your-own Mickey waffles. Dinner was better, service was friendly and efficient for both of our visits. Kids eat free vouchers from reception made the total price good value. We saved a fortune this trip by asking for iced tap water everywhere. Universal and Disney are used to it and happy for you to do so. In Disney they often have it sat on the counter of quick service restaurants ready to go, worth asking before you queue for the tills. Chick fil a is over the road to the left, the greatest chicken in the US our kids reckon. Waffle fries and kale salad good for vegans…..they have a train going round the ceiling with a button to press to activate. Walgreens over the road was quite expensive, they tend to be more than Walmart though, which is about 10 mins drive. Wholefoods off the sand lake junction of I drive is epic for dinners and lunches. Publix is past the Vineland outlets about the same distance as Walmart. If Walmart is Aldi/Asda, Publix is Sainsburys, and Wholefoods is M&S/Waitrose! Overall for the price we paid, I thought this was a great hotel. It’s not like a Holiday Inn in the UK, none of them are, but it’s a great one for the US. My kids will remember this holiday for the rest of their lives, and part of this is because they loved the hotel so much. They are still doing impressions of the noises the lifts made a month on ;) Read less

We have just returned from a 14 night stay here this week. It was our first stay and it certainly won't be our last. Hotel is spotlessly clean and tidy and the staff are extremely helpful and attentive. Rooms are huge, with 2 queen beds, table and 2 chairs and a fridge and microwave You receive housekeeping daily, there's a lovely modern coffee machine in your room and they replenish the pods daily. Beds are super comfy as are the pillows. The bathroom has all Dove products supplied which are filled up daily. The pool area is lovely, there's entertainment for the kids and a bar which has a daily happy hour. There's also an Applebees on site. The hotel provides free theme park shuttles to all the parks. Hotel is in a great location with a Seven eleven next door and a Chickafilla, Wendy's, McDonald's and Walgreens across the road. There's also Bahama Breeze, Salt Grass, Golden Corral and Longhorns nearby. The hotels very secure you have to swipe your room key to enter the individual areas of the hotel and pool. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back again soon. Thanks Holiday Inn 😀 Read less
