Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress

Lake Buena Vista, Orlando

The hotel

There are far too many facilities at this marvellous 1,500-acre resort to detail here. The swimming pool is the kind that has kids gasping with wonder-waterfalls, grottos, whirlpools and a 124-ft long water slide tower, new water jet splash zone and rock climbing areas for kids creates an aqueous wonderland; and on the lake, you can practice kayaking, canoeing or just simply pedal away toward the sunset, there is even a white sand beach for those waiting to sit back and relax, and 45 holes of top golf, with a pitch 'n' putt for non-golfers to enjoy. There are some great restaurants and bars. The new pool bar, On the Rock, is located by Lake Windsong, offering views of the lake and the pool, four 60" TVs, full service bar and food service options. Enjoy Key West style seafood and steaks at Hemingways. Be one of the first to enjoy their new recreational features: New Water slide, Water Jet Splash zone, rock climbing for kids and the pool bar!

The valet, registration, housekeeping staff, and resturant crew were extremely friendly, competent, and made our stay so much more than we expected. The hotel is wonderful and the grounds are stupendous. There is a lake with water activities, biking, trails... and one of the most impressive pools I have ever seen. This is a hotel I would use again, and will recommend to family and friends. Read less

It was a Disney trip, and we booked this hotel as it is close to the resort, has excellent facilities for the kids and is rated the BEST resort in Orlando. The hotel staff is great - going the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and at home. The hotel is clean, the atmosphere is SAFE during these times, and the staff make sure that everyone is following the safety rules while still providing excellent service. We had lunch at the pool bar, dinner at the Lakehouse and breakfast at the Lakehouse - all dinning experiences were excellent and the service was great ... JP and Lindsay at dinner time and Abe and Florence for breakfast. Will be back !!! Read less

We decided on a last-minute Disney World trip for our 5th anniversary, and opted to use our World of Hyatt points to stay at the Regency rather than staying at one of the expensive Disney resorts. At 12,000 points per night, the Hyatt Regency is a steal. It's an incredibly beautiful property that's less than a 10-minute drive to Disney Springs and about 20 minutes to each of the parks. Because we were celebrating our anniversary, the hotel upgraded us to a 15th floor room that gave us a spectacular view of the resort pool, nearby lakes, and several Disney World landmarks in the distance. The service throughout our stay was top-notch, and we even heard the hotel macaw Merlot say, "Hello!" In this strange COVID world, we felt perfectly safe staying at the Regency and taking our rental car into the Disney parks. It was always a treat to get back to our room at the end of a long day of walking. The stunning property, excellent service, and proximity to Disney make this an easy five-star review. Read less

Unfortunately did not get to experience this beautiful resort hotel to its fullest as we were just staying overnight between Disney Park days. We will be back to experience a greater use of the facilities.
