There are some great restaurants and bars. The new pool bar, On the Rock, is located by Lake Windsong, offering views of the lake and the pool, four 60" TVs, full service bar and food service options. We paid a $25/night upgrade fee and were told we would be able to see both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot fireworks. We paid a $25/night upgrade fee and were told we would be able to see both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot fireworks. We could only see Epcot (Magic Kingdom was around the corner of the building and we could only see a slight reflection), but the view from our balcony was still great, including the pool/lagoon, Disney Springs, and some of the Disney hotels. Our room was nice, with a chaise lounge and large TV. The lobby, with its bridge over a stream, tropical plants, and parrot, Merlot, was fun and relaxing, as was the huge pool area with multiple waterfalls and a swim-through grotto/cave. The vegetation and water around the property were gorgeous. The breakfast buffet was tasty and a good value, the Market had lots of convenient and helathy choices, and the happy hour at the bar was a nice treat. Besides missing the Magic Kingdom fireworks, our two disappointments were that the "20 minute" walk to Disney Springs was actually around 40 minutes....it was entirely safe, though, and once we got into the Disney property, scenic with lots of cool resorts to see; and that throughout the Grand Cypress property were signs of age. The room decor was outdated, there was rust on the pagoda over the outdoor seating area, and there were pipes showing in the lobby stream area. Still, it was overall a great stay and we would go there again. Read less

This is definitely a resort, from rock climbing, bikes, paddle boards, mini golf…so much to do. The pool is AMAZING! We loved the water slide and waterfalls! Did we mention all the things to do? Truly a paradise!

Beautiful hotel, centrally located, with many amenities and activities. Food was excellent and staff was wonderful. Especially liked the extended grounds that provided multiple opportunities for exercise.

From the moment we pulled up to the moment we checked out everyone was very nice and welcoming. A huge shout-out to housekeeping and the Lake House Restaurant. Our room was immaculate. When we reached out to housekeeping for anything they were more than accommodating. Our server at the lake house Aisha was the most friendliest person. She made sure both our kids were comfortable. I made sure all our needs were met when taking care of us for breakfast. I cannot say enough good things about our stay. My family and I will definitely be back Read less

Clean room, things to do on premises and nice staff. The pools were open until 10pm which is very nice since most hotels close them too early. The breakfast options weren’t that great and options were minimal. Went off premises to eat other meals
