The hotel

When you’re booking a trip to the theme parks in Orlando, you don’t imagine that you’d be able to find a haven of relaxation and luxury right in the centre – well here it is. The JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa sits within the gates of Walt Disney World Resort, with a shuttle service taking you to the park gates in no time at all. The rooms have a sleek, sophisticated design, with ample space in the family suites for larger groups. And from the family suite accommodations to the rock climbing, garden golf, and the activity schedule at the kids club, there’s always something to keep the little ones entertained, rain or shine, whatever their hobbies. Whilst they’re occupied in resort, be sure to visit the spa by JW, inspired by the rejuvenating warmth of the ‘Sunshine State’, these treatments will have you feeling your best in no time. Disney Springs is just 5 miles away, with its wide variety of restaurants and bars on offer, but the JW Marriott have plenty of their own to save you the trip on those tired evenings. illume is a particular favourite for guests, located on the 9th floor, giving you a great vantage point for the Disney fireworks whilst enjoying Asian inspired tapas and fresh sushi. For those chilled poolside afternoons, check out the happy hour at Unreserved Beer Garden, where you can enjoy a range of craft beers or a chilled glass of rose in the late afternoon sun.

The staff is simply wonderful!!! Absolutely everyone you run into throughout the hotel (everyone says hello with a smile) are so kind and welcoming. I even took advantage of a Pilates class one morning and it was phenomenal - Susie, the instructor, was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and positive and really kept me motivated and having a good time (I wish I lived closer so I could take her class regularly). Also want to give a shout out to the friendly marketplace team where I had my wonderful hot lattes every morning and the gelato was out of this world. From the front desk to the administrative staff to housekeeping to pool staff were simply wonderful. The facilities were spotless and beds so comfortable. I travel a lot and am a travel agent and I can honestly say this is one of the best hotels I have ever, ever stayed at. I would guess that the leadership here is excellent and it shows in every single way. I was actually sad to leave the hotel however I will be back and looking forward to it!!! Read less

The only bothersome items are the $38 self park charge (incremental cost to hotel of me driving into the parking garage is about $0) and the completely silly $50 resort fee for which you get essentially nothing. Just put it into the rate and quit treating the customers like they’re stupid. Otherwise excellent property. Read less

This is a special place and is a great location if you want to be in the vicinity of Disney without staying at a place that is themed around Disney. There are some things I really like about this property: Adults Only Pool - This amenity is great and the staff takes delicate attention to making sure if kids wander over, the politely find their way back to the family pool side. Breakfast Buffet - Amazing! We love this and think it is completely worth it! So much so that we have stayed at Magic Kingdom Resorts and come to the JW for Breakfast! They will validate your parking if you come for breakfast! Turn down service - We just got this for the first time this trip. The chocolates were nice. It was appreciated after being gone all day. Spa - We LOVE the spa!!!! It’s such a relaxing place. I’ve had two pedicures by Marwi and they are the best pedicures I’ve ever had. Getting a spa services gives you the amenities of the spa - completely worth it! Only Struggle: We have been 3 times to the JW since April and twice our room wasn’t ready and we arrived after 4pm both times. The first time, we were offered a credit, which we appreciated. However, this time, we were not. Also, as someone with Marriott status, you have to ask for your late check out - it used to be offered but now, you just request. Read less

We had a lovely 3-night stay at this property and specifically selected this resort so that we would not need to leave the property for the duration of our stay. This resort had exactly what we were looking for - spa, bar, restaurants, pool, and nice accommodations. I would not hesitate to stay at here again and recommend as a very nice option when there are so many in the Orlando area. A few notable comments: Staff: All of the staff we encountered were extremely pleasant, helpful, and seemed happy to be there. Josh at the reception desk answered our many questions and seemed knowledgeable and eager to ensure our questions were addressed. Lyndsey at the lobby bar spent time with us discussing drinks, various types and flavors of the wide range of gins available, and overall provided great service. Rooms: Our room was very clean, spacious, and well appointed. We appreciated the daily housekeeping, which seems to be hit or miss in other hotels visited in recent years. We really appreciated the amount of counter space space available for our things, and the large fridge was a huge bonus and not something we expected, but were very pleased with as we brought in beverages for the room. Our only complaint was the irregularity of the air conditioning. It seemed to run and get the room nice and cool and then turn off for a bit so the room would heat up and then cool again. This resulted in worse than usual sleep as it was "blankets on, blankets off" all night long. Lobby: Nice and welcoming and we spent quite a bit of time in the lobby reading, talking, and enjoying the atmosphere. We would have liked to see the lobby bar open earlier for drinks. I also missed a filtered water filling station to refill my water bottle - if one was in the lobby area, I missed it. Breakfast Buffet: The buffet was excellent. Crepes, omelettes, and the thicker cut bacon were standouts. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Rotten food in the fridge!

Jul 4, 2024 FedericoC0 San Jose, Costa Rica

Visited the hotel in January. Perceived a terrible smell in the room, and found seriously rotten food in the mini fridge when arriving. Received a ridiculous compensation of 2000 Bonvoy points but rarely any apologies, which would have been much more important.
