2nd time staying here - room/suite is ideal for a large family. 3 bedrooms and kitchen area with a large sitting room/dining area. Free bus service is provided which is a great facility. Reception- ok Pool area is awful, the families and children are feral. (Both times we’ve been) So in 2x holiday spent a grand total of 40 mins at the pool!! Strong smells of weed emanating from certain areas of the complex. The poolside bar/cafe is pathetic!! Food is disgusting, it was embarrassing. The staff at the poolside bar are also a bit arrogant! Drinks are also extortionate. $32 for 3 orange juice (small bottles) and 2 smoothies.. So to conclude - this is a great place for a base to explore Orlando, with the added bonus of free buses to the parks! Don’t go to the pool, it’s rougher than rough!! Read less

Stayed here three times over the last 8 years (first two through virgin holidays this one booked direct) I think this will be the very last time. In my opinion it is no longer a family venue. This may not be completely the hotels fault but the whole venue often stunk Of cannabis. The kids went to the pool once on their own early evening and oldest said it was intimidating and they were all smoking cannabis by the pool. Other times it stunk in the morning and afternoon around the hotel. When we went as a family people had water speakers blaring out it was not a very inviting area at all. All entertainment that used to occur has ceased so there is nothing inviting about staying here. The rooms are very dated and (we stayed block 5) it is a self service hotel which may be fine if anything actually worked the hoover was awful, the tumble dryer and washing machine and dishwasher got nothing clean at all. The cooker was almost unusable and anytime you did any cooking the fire alarm went off. The carpets and sofas and chairs are in huge need of changing. The size of the rooms are very good but I think you can find that elsewhere in Orlando. The free shuttle is a waste of time unless you use the 7.15 to magic kingdom (it did also work for Epcot you get internal monorail but you will get there before it all opens) That worked but all the others you will be in the parks too late and or spend over an hour on the bus for a trip that takes 20 min, the universal bus at 8.15 was an unbearable hour and you will be late in the park and stuck with all the crowds for the sake of saving 15 -20 dollars. Finally the staff at the hotel are very passive aggressive for an 18 night stay we asked for a change of towels and sheets mid holiday which we would have to change. Five times they took the details and expressed the fact that we could wash it all ourselves in the washing machine. And day after day they did not arrive on the fifth request towels appeared and on the 6th two blankets tuned up no sheets which is all that was on any of the beds. On every occasion they took the bed sizes and room number. We never got the sheets so 18 nights in the same sheets. This coupled with the fact it’s all self service for cleaning did not make it feel like a holiday venue. We asked for a few bits here and there and there was almost always a snarky comment with the so called service. We felt like burdens every time apart from at check in when the payment was due. The clientel of the hotel this time round were very different, there were fights in the gym and families arguing around the hotel. Two of the lifts broke down and people were waiting for 20 -30 min for a lift on one day. Another day there was some form of spillage and it stunk, fans were out all along the corridors. We honestly felt slightly unsafe when it got dark around the hotel. The outlet close by has almost nothing of any interest there and you are far away from supermarkets and restaurants if you don’t have a car. I would suggest you research other venues to stay at if you are looking closer to the parks and maybe even onsite which we never wanted to do before as we liked meeting the local people more but you in all honesty will meet hardly any Americans now in this area as a whole and You will not experience hardly any American culture either it appears it’s all gone so by staying onsite in the parks you won’t be missing much. If you speak Spanish it will benefit you a lot around the area, in the outlets, supermarkets, restaurants and hotel we stayed at and you will receive much better service, we saw this time and time again. This was the 8th time I have stayed here last October I was given an apartment in block 2 although asked for 3 or 5 as had previously stayed there and loved it Block 2 apartment was not up to usual standard and the worst thing was safe door twisted and no way would close so on telling them that it was unacceptable I was moved to block 3 as previously requested Just back had corner unit block 5 and was perfect first time in 3 bedroom loads of space huge comfy beds Asked for more towels after a few days and received them really quickly and took old ones away. Second last day hairdryer broke in main bedroom but on advising receptionist it was immediately attended to by maintenance replacing it with a new one. A nice extra touch was free popcorn etc some days in lobby also some kids games had been added to outdoor area . I really feel they are trying hard to scribe pre covid standard. Can’t wait to return hopefully in near future. Read less
