On arrival we were surprised that this is a timeshare resort and most people here are owners. Reception send you to “book in” for your “talk”. This can easily be avoided. We have stayed at this resort for two weeks without a car. We have used the hotel taxi service to take us to the supermarkets and restaurants ( outside the resort). The curtesy bus will collect you from your room and deliver you to the pools, gyms or restaurants on site. No public transport in this location but Walgreens, Starbucks and Subway all within walking distance. The gardens and surrounding areas are beautifully maintained. Our two bedroomed villa was spacious, cleaned daily and had all the cooking facilities one needed as well as a washing machine and dryer. It overlooked a lake containing otters. We sat on the balcony with the g/t watching the sunsets. With 7 pools you could visit a different one every day. They were never crowded and pool towels were free. The pools remained lovely and warm all day (open until 1am). The only downsides are as follows: Food purchased at the Market is limited and expensive. Food choices in the onsite restaurants tended to be fried, fast food. Happy hour 1 dollar off both wine and beer. A small glass of wine and half a beer 12 dollars!! Bicycles, crazy golf and some children’s activities have to be paid for (reduced rates for owners of timeshares) Transport to theme parks is 10 dollars per person each way. Would I return? Yes, we have really enjoyed our stay here but next time we would hire a car at Orlando for the length of stay. Read less

I called the Marriott main number to reserve a room for one night and the Marriott I wanted was booked. The agent suggested this property (Marriott Property), and offered me a nice discount on a 2 bedroom Villa for one night. I was told they had transportation to and from the Disney Parks, and breakfast was included. I arrived early and pre-booked the room, dropped off my luggage and purchased my Disney tickets there in the lobby, then went to Disney with some friends. When I was registering, they said that breakfast was NOT included. OK, this was a letdown, but not a deal breaker. After several hours in the park, lots of walking and waiting on lines, we left Animal Kingdom and called the hotel for transportation. I reached the desk, was transfered to transportation and was simply told no, there was no one available to pick us up. Again, not a deal breaker, but aggrivating. The hotel is close to Disney, so it was only a $15 Uber ride (Taxi wanted $40). On arrival back at the Sheraton, I was tired, cranky, and hungry. This is a very large resort villa, my room was not walkable from the reception area. I waited about 30 minutes for the on site shuttle, then was on the shuttle for about 15 minutes while it ran around picking up and dropping off various other guests. It took 45 minutes from the time I finished checkin to get to my room. THIS WAS a deal breaker. When I pre-booked, I told them I did not have a car and would like to be as close to the reception building as possible. My room was Villa 320. It was the furthest room from the reception building possible. On the positive side. This is the kind of place I would recomend if you are staying for a week and have your own car. It is close to the Disney Properties. It was the wrong place for one night. The Villa was beautiful, two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, clean, two bathrooms. It was $167 for the night with taxes and fees. There were pools, hot tubs, store, resturaunts, bar on property. I also had a problem with the Disney Tickets I purchased there. Of the four tickets, only one of them was recognized by the Disney App on my iphone to book Fast Pass on the rides, so we could not use fast pass. For one or two nights, I would not stay there again. For a week, I would consider it. Improvements they need to make: Need much better onsite transportation, like a standard shuttle route on the property, and a standard shuttle going to the Parks that runs until they close. They need to honor the deal made on the phone. A resort of this level NEEDS to PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Not having transportation as promised from the Disney Parks when the parks close is poor practice. If there was a problem (short drivers, broken van), they could have setup an Uber throught the third party application for thier guests. It would have been a disaster if the we had children with us when we were delayed by 45 minutes getting to our room after a long day at the park. Read less

This was an awesome experience, Sheraton Vistana was more than I expected. Clean, spacious villas, beautiful room decors, peaceful location, close to shopping outlets and malls, plenty of activities on site, will definitely return in the future.

We stayed a week at the Sheraton Vistana through a timeshare trade via Interval International. We were to have a one-bdr unit with a full kitchen. We were initially given a one-bdr, 1-ba unit with a mini or limited kitchen in the "Lakes" section. It was a long, narrow unit with lovely appointments that overlooked a small lake. It was private and quiet, which was lovely. The one bathroom, while very clean, was small with little counter space. Because we wanted an oven and a full stove to cook meals, we returned to the lobby where Angela graciously assisted us in getting into a unit with a full kitchen. She placed us in a 2-bdr, 2-ba unit in the "Court" section! It was so much roomier than the first unit, even if the one-bdr side is closed off! It was perfect and we cannot thank Angela enough for caring to make our stay perfect! But, beware of the zealous housekeepers! They will hunt down and discard anything that looks remotely like trash! We had brought a brand new griddle with us for cooking pancakes. We intended to keep the box it came in for the trip home, and set the box aside in a corner...behind a table...AWAY from any trash can. The box had a photo of the griddle on it that matched the actual griddle that we set out on the counter. Nevertheless, Housekeeping found the box and threw it away! Clearly, the Housekeeping staff is trained to make sure that the units are very clean and tidy ... and it shows! Also, if you are a tea-a-holic and insist on a teapot, rather than steeping your teabag in a cup, there are NO teapots at this resort. Plan to bring your own or buy one (I found one for $10 at a local Burlington store). The resort is very easy to access off I-4. It is close to the major attractions. We enjoyed the mini golf course on site and there is an Escape Room, which we did not try. The gardens and water features are lovely, the pools are sparkling and open late into the night. The beds in both of the units were very comfortable and we slept soundly. We found all of the personnel at the resort to be friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to return (with teapot in hand and "DO NOT THROW AWAY" labels qacvxzcdsaqfor any boxes we might want to keep!). Read less
