My wife and I spent the last week here. There was a number of things I felt needed to show some improvement most notably the Roach I found in our living room in unit #36 Fountains. We called and they did send an exterminator the next day. But the damage was done we no longer felt comfortable in the room. Sleeping now was itchy and concerning. Bags were immediately closed after we got what we wanted out of them and no more eating in the room. My wife called after we found it and there did not seem to be any real urgency or apology from the front desk staff. The Garbage can outside our unit was constantly over flowing with garbage on the ground next to it. As well as a Pepsi cup that was on the ground for the entire 6 day stay. Obviously ZERO care and concern by the staff. It was also upsetting by the lack of chairs by the pool. I had to get up at 8 am as they opened the pool to grab towels to "reserve" a chair. If you got out any later than 9. Good luck finding a chair to sit or lay by the pool. The Roach killed this vacation spot for us. I can't see us coming back. Not worth the risk of taking one of them home. No Good Fgraupe@gmail.com Read less

Pull out couch under a huge skylight so plan on waking up early if one sleeps there. Steep climb to the 3d floor with suitcases, food etc. If you’re coming to relax a few days by the pool, there are NOT enough loungers or chairs to accommodate guests. Day 3, I was as able to secure one lounger as the family went to a water park. Springs pool area can easily handle 18 more loungers. Seniors had to sit on the side of pool or stand, families had to put their pool bags near wet pool areas while swimming. Many planned on swimming and left with comments that the other pools had no loungers either. This is a HUGE resort that cannot accommodate guests that simply want to relax poolside. You would be stuck on your balcony for fresh air. I’ve not experienced this at other large resorts, only on cruises. Going to Disney etc, you’ll be happy here. I just found out this is the owners section, nice area, but if I were an owner , I’d expect a pool lounger! Check in was not friendly. One they learned we were an exchange, not an owner, level of service dropped. The concierge can help over there as she simply pointed in a direction! Read less

We had a wonderful time at the resort. Everything was very clean. The pools were great and it was very close to all the parks. Check-in and check-out were seamless. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed it very much!

We made 2 different reservations here in Feb. 2023 for May 2024. One week was sent by RCI and received. This resort never entered my week. I called in January and was told RCI never sent it. I called RCI and they said they had sent it but would send it again and did son on 1-11-24. I called 3-27-24 and was told again by this resort that they had no reservation for my name and that RCI needed to be contacted to send it as they never received but again confirmed that they had the other week. I called RCI on 2-28-24 and was told they did send it 1-11-24 but would fax it again and I was on hold until the supervisor confirmed that the resort received the fax again. I called the resort and was told they didn't have any fax and it wasn't even their fax number (one that is listed on their site). Argued with them-on hold for a long time several times-finally told that oh, yeah, we got the fax and will put it in the system-should be in the system in a week or two so check back. Then talked to a supervisor who again tried to say RCI never sent it. Then admitted they did have it and would give it to someone else who would enter it in a week or two, but if they didn't, no problem as it could all be entered on our arrival! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? We have 2 children with disabilities and traveling 1500 miles and am told if it doesn't get put in the system, they can do it on our arrival? I was furious and supervisor said just to call back in a week or two to confirm and she would make a note on the reservation they have (for Saturday arrival) that both units should be together (which they won't know when they assign the FRIDAY arrival that isn't in their system). Over 20 years working through RCI and have never had such a horrible experience with any resort like this!!! Read less

Sigh... on paper, Vistana is perfect. It has 7 pools, multiple bars and restaurants, huge villas, tons of other activities and amenities. However, our experience was far from perfect. The best way to describe the staff at Vistana is that they hate their jobs and in turn, hate the guests. We stayed 7 nights, from a Friday to Friday. We arrived at around 11:30am on Friday and were told we'd be getting a third-floor room with no elevator access. That would not work for our party so I requested a room on the first floor or with elevator access. We waited around, went in the pool, went shopping, etc... At 4pm, we finally returned to the front desk and begged for a room as we were exhausted from traveling since 5am. The woman who helped us was exceptional (which is where the good service ended) and got us a very nice room in the Lakes section, which had an elevator. No issues there. We drove through security and swiped our keys...Neither worked. We then went to get new keys to go to our room...only one worked. Later that evening, my husband returned to the lobby to ask for another key and was given 2 more. Neither worked. Out of 6 keys, only one worked. He also asked if they had bedrails for our toddler, which they didn't. However, the issue wasn't that they didn't have them but that THREE hotel employees had no idea what a bedrail was and he had to explain it multiple times to no avail. He also had to pick up a stroller that was delivered and bell services was closed. He was there for over a half hour while our kid screamed with exhaustion in the car. In general, the staff that we interacted with around the villa were far from friendly. Most were on their phones, on speaker, and wouldn't even look at us. Having stayed at Disney multiple times, it's obvious why they aren't employed by the Mouse. Overall, our room was nice, clean, and spacious. No major complaints except every clock was wrong, only one of the TV remotes worked... all minor things that would be easily overlooked if the experience had been spectacular. We frequented the pools, including the one with the Tiki Hut. One evening, my husband ordered a specific liquor and was told by the bartender. "Sorry, we have it but I don't feel like going upstairs to get it...so order something else." Unacceptable. Another evening, we attempted to pick up some groceries that had been delivered from Target. The man working disappeared for 10 minutes and upon return said "I don't know where they are, come back tomorrow." Meanwhile, there were things in there that we needed urgently so my husband had to wait another half hour to get our things. If you can go to Vistana and never deal with an employee, it's fine. However, if you are looking for good service, it's not the place for you. Read less
