The SpringHill suites are very nice. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the car park. It was quiet and the bed was super comfy, however the curtains didn’t quite meet in the middle so we were woken early by the sun steaming in through the gap. The only downside to this hotel was our breakfast experience. The breakfast lounge was always chaotic no matter what time we went to eat. There was never anywhere to sit and the queues for food were long. I have read that people enjoyed omelettes, however this was never an option when we were there. Breakfast was exactly the same each morning with scrambled egg and sausage burger-type things. The Micky waffles were great if you could be bothered to stand in a queue for 40 minutes to get one. Signage asked people to make a maximum of 2 waffles in order to reduce the waiting time, however, this wasn’t the case and people would make 4 or 5 waffles per visit, baring in mind that each one takes 2.5 minutes to make. Overall, breakfast was the most traumatic part of the day. Reception staff were helpful. However, the staff working on the bookings desk were only interested in trying to get you to spend a day at their sister hotel (Raddisson I think) to sign up to some sort of timeshare?? Our holiday time is precious and we didn’t want to take a day of our holiday sat in a conference room. We were hassled about this on a couple of occasions. Saying all that, our room was comfortable, and room was cleaned each day. The shuttle buses were always on time and the staff in the cafe/takeaway place were brilliant. A slight concern about how much plastic you go through with all the disposable knives, forks and spoons-not very green, but hey, it seems that it’s the same all over Orlando. Read less

Ah, where to start.....We got there late on a Wed night, check in was way too long. One person working the desk on a busy night with a hotel this big. Terrible idea. Also, the girl had never worked alone at a Springhil & had barely finished training, she normally works at the Courtyard. We get to the room, 2 tv's, 1 tv remote. We call down and of course becauase there is one person working the desk on a busy night, it takes forever for someone to answer the phone. I had to call several times. They send a remote up, the tv in the sitting area, is not working. By that time, I also walked over to the window to look out at the pool & discovered the entire floor in front of the window is soaking wet. Wet socks, no fun. Call down again, and yeah you can guess how long it took for me to get an answer. Was told to come down to change rooms, grabbed all our stuff, and went down. Had to wait in the rediculous line that had now formed. Finally get up to her, ask for a room closer to the elevator. She gives us a room closer to an elevator BUT that elevator was down for our entire 4 night stay. So we had to walk down 3 long corridors to get to the central elevator. Go figure. Second day of our stay, my son and I are relaxing and a big ass cockroach comes crawling across the side of the bed my son is in. Freaked us out! We killed it. The rest of the stay is uneventful in the bug department, thank God because by that time i had had enough. Sat night, needed a plunger, literally no one would answer the phone and there was no one at the desk. After 30 min of calling someone finally sent a maintenance tech to our room with a plunger, thank God the room didn't flood. Stop with the Turkey sausage, it's gross. $22 per night for parking is absurd. I will def pick another hotel next time. I thought the idea of a Marriott Village was so cute. Yea, not so much. I come to Orlando a lot. Never had an experience like this before. Read less

Springhill Suites-Marriott Village -- We had a nice stay for 4 nights while attending a conference. Breakfast was very good and convenient. Room was very nice. Easy to get Ubers. Good location. Food available in the Courtyard Bistro and the Food Village. Only issue is that room 3405 really needs a new mattress.

Stayed here with large group and not overly impressed. Breakfast is poor, limited selections, but the Mickey Mouse Waffle is great. Room is large but blind does not fully close so hard to sleep. Air con is next to bed and very noisy. Bed was terrible as it was clearly in need to new mattress, felt like two sunk coffins next to each other with… Read more

Bathroom needs modernisation as shower/bath system not always easy to use and water pressure constantly changing. Read less

Location is ok, close to the parks and Uber’s are fairly cheap, but not a lot within walking distance in terms of restaurants except BJs which isn’t cheap, Bahama Breeze which is good and one other. We booked through Tui, decent enough accommodation although for a Marriott, it needs a serious upgrade right across the hotel. Carpets look so old, furniture is dated and stained, windows don’t look like they’ve been cleaned in a while. Some rooms have better quality TV’s than others but there are plenty of options including Netflix and YouTube, amongst sport channels etc, which for us when relaxing for a few hours after the parks was always useful. The beds were comfortable, although the sofa in the room was pretty terrible to sit on, positive it was broken. The rooms however are a really good size. We stayed on the 4th floor, ice machine came in handy as did the laundry services, although keep an eye on what you get charged as you have to use a card. The drying machines are good, but check the filters before you start as they aren’t cleaned as often as they should be. The bathrooms need updating. It’s clean, no doubt, and the cleaners do a great job, but there are spots of mould appearing in the tiles. My air conditioning was poor, I reported this to reception but nothing was done about it. Rooms were very warm, I know this wasn’t every room though as my family along the corridor had a freezing cold room. The rooms need a safe. Having a safety box at reception provides no reassurance at all, especially when there is often only one member of staff. The breakfast is a shambles to be honest. The only hot food is scrambled egg and sausage patties every day, there was a hair in mine once which stopped me going. They have toast and cereal, as well as some yoghurt, teas and coffees. They have a Mickey waffle station but you get bored of that quickly, could do with some Nutella rather than just syrup every day. Breakfast gets really busy after 8am. The mini market in the hotel is shockingly overpriced and completely unjustified. $20 for two bottles of water and two packets of chips, that is scandalous to say the least. There is a fridge in the room so definitely take some time to visit a supermarket to stock up on supplies, you’ll thank yourself. If using the pool, it’s ok, but would recommend going over to the Courtyard one and using that instead. The shuttle buses to the park are decent going there, but could do with some more coming back during the day. Book early if you can as they fill up. Overall, it’s ok. Needs serious improvement on decor, breakfast and the mini market. The food hall on site isn’t great either, but the Starbucks inside Courtyard is good, but pricey. Location very good for both Disney and Universal. Apart from not dealing with my air conditioning, the staff on site were brilliant. Read less
