This is the first hotel I have been to where every single staff member is there to help you make the most of your stay. There is no task so menial, or that cannot be done. This was our second stay at Zabeel, 30th in Dubai and 10th with Jumeirah group. Starting with the positives: - Facilities are outstanding, beautiful architecture and well laid out, feels both grand and not too vast. - Some of the team are just excellent, Suman our housekeeper was so attentive, great communicator and professional. I felt he demonstrated the level of service we have come to expect in Dubai. - The children's area is excellent, Reggie clearly really cares about her team and children. The lifeguards there in particular, even though they could just observe, they do cute extras like straightening our daughter's hair bow and are always so approachable. - Our final day at breakfast was the only day I'd rate as 'Dubai' standard, this is no fault of the team, however operationally there's some issues. However, Niraj and Samson made a great pair, really kind to our children, friendly and service was fantastic, finally felt quite pampered! - Lunch and dinner are outstanding eveywhere, quality of the meals is just outstanding. Not so great areas: - We travelled with a 1.5 year old and 3 year old, whilst the facilities are great, silly things such as handing a 1.5 year old a heavy, ornate glass to drink from in most restaurants, no 'kid friendly' cutlery or plates etc was frustrating as we felt we were constantly watching them during meals rather than relaxing as we might in other hotels/ restaurants. - Breakfast - the worst I've had in Dubai. Several reasons for this, firstly, the buffet is just an English breakfast every day in 3-4 restaurants, with very limited alternatives such as 3-4 fruits or a couple of cereals. I reserved judgement in case this was due to Covid until we'd moved to our next hotel and also met friends at theirs, however this is not the case everywhere else. Operationally, I must stress this is not the fault of the serving team who work tirelessly, but the service here didn't feel well planned. Examples being, tea being brought but no milk/ sugars or salt and pepper on the table, items I'm sure they're wasting time running back and forth for to give to every guest. Having to ask 2-3 times to get anything delivered, despite being patient enough to have finished my meal before receiving the tea and milk, so although there were servers around, staff were constantly being stopped by other guests and it didn't feel team members were assigned to zones/tables or knew who to delegate the task to. Only as mentioned on the last day did it feel you only had 1-2 people assigned to your table and you knew who you should be tipping, rather than often 5-6 people you were stopping to ask for simple things such as ketchup. So many things could be improved by having it available near the buffet such as sauces. Hence stressing this is not the fault of the team but as a guest it's incredibly frustrating and often your meal is very disjointed for this reason. - Room toiletries, generally for the Jumeirah Group, considering you pay hundreds (at the time we stayed many said it was £800+ per night they'd paid for a normal room) you'd think it would have quality toiletries and not some mass produced own brand that feels very 'Hilton'. Overall, it felt that the more senior management have let this be more 'corporate' than luxury in the service levels. There's no sense of intimacy or 'above and beyond'. An example would be check in feels like a corporate check in, not a luxury holiday check in. At other hotels you may sit and be checked in, or be walked to the lift, perhaps asked some questions about your stay. Whilst the team are lovely, the hotel needs to work on perhaps staff numbers which feels sparce at other places we are visitng this month. Read less

Breakfast was delicious. Service is great! Waiter Ibrar is particularly pleasant, efficient and professional and has a lot of attention to detail. I would recommend to have breakfast on the terrace as it’s nice and quiet

We enjoyed our stay at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. Beach and staff were very good. Maybe too much people around the pool but it was the hight season... I recommended this place especially with kids. Food was correct - they can make it better ;)
