I don’t know if most the downtown hotels are like this or not, have nothing downtown to compare to. But I think it’s a DUMP! Rooms smell of carpet freshener and moldy air conditioning. I would not recommend staying at this Aloft location. The amount of excessive noise from other guests along with the outrageous parking fee made this stay unpleasant. We stayed on the fourth floor in a two queen bed room. I slept on one of the beds as my significant other slept on the other. The next morning I woke up with two bites on my arm and thought nothing of it. As the days progressed I had more and more red spots all over my arm, neck and face. I went to the doctor to find out it was most definitely bed bug bites and that I am more sensitive to these bites than others normally are. Bed bug bites take time to show up throughout the body so be aware! I reached out to the general manager and am still waiting to hear back if they plan to take any actions. Read less

They moved us and the next day the door stopped opening. We told the front desk, went out for hours and it was still not fixed when we returned!!! Since part of our party was locked out he had to use the restroom in the lobby and only one of the three toilets were functioning. The urinal was full of NOT urine as someone apparently improvised. Also on the first day, one of the elevators seemed to stop reading the cards. You have to scan to go to any floor coming and going. The engineer gave us some line about it depending on the sequence of calling the elevator that made no sense. Second day, the other elevator was completely out of service making getting up or downstairs ridiculous! The hotel was not really that clean, generally speaking either, unkempt and little details overlooked everywhere. Some of the outlets, lights and charge ports didn’t work. We’ve stayed at Aloft before and were expecting similar... this is NOT!! Do not stay here! We were very disappointed! Being a Marriott Bonvoy silver elite member, I really expected more from the name... seriously question that now. Worst hotel experience we’ve had in many years! Read less

The location is great, but had I been by myself, I would've felt uncomfortable staying here alone. As soon as you pull into the parking lot, the 1st thing you see is a lot, and I mean A LOT, of young people standing around in front of the hotel. My gas tank can be on , but I won't stop in a gas station if there are a lot of people just standing by the front door, but since I was with my husband, I wasn't worried. The room we had was on the 9th floor. The view was beautiful at night. The room was clean & the bed was very comfortable, but we did find it strange that the mini-fridge was basically in the bathroom. We went down to the lobby because my husband wanted something to eat and again, it was a lot of young people just "hanging out" and walking around. My husband & I joked that we were "too old" to stay here, got our food and went back upstairs. For what it's worth, I would recommend this location if this is your scene, but if you're over 40 and looking for a quieter place, look somewhere else. Read less

I am giving this hotel a 5 star review because despite all the problems that transpired the staff was very patient and helpful. I booked the room for my mother for Mother’s Day and wanted my friend to set it up for her before she arrived. The front desk could not find my reservation all week and it made me cancel the room for Saturday through main reservations. I booked my mom somewhere else last minute but it was not up to the standards as advertised . So I ended up keeping the room for Sunday (Mother’s day) so she can come the next day. The hotel manager (Gwen)ended up finding the rooms on Saturday and apologize for the it not showing up days ago, which really wasn’t her fault. Fast forward when my friend came to set up the room around 1 pm the room was not ready. I was advised that the room would not be available until 3 pm. So he had to get to work so my mom would have to set it herself. When my mom arrived around 3 the room was still not ready and the front desk person (Trena) said it might not be until an hour in a half. Mind you I’m on the other side of the country in Cali. They ended up putting her in another room for her to wait because I booked her a suite and we had to wait Until it was ready. The guest did not check out until 5 pm and she did not enter until 7pm. They were so apologetic and from what my mother told me Trena was so busy with so little help she felt so bad for her. She handled it well and was still sweet to my mother and she also comped the stay. I give all these ladies 5 stars for making a rough time into a beautiful one.Gwen,Althea, and Trena!!!!!!!! Read less
