The Westin Peachtree Plaza

Atlanta, Georgia

The hotel

A statement hotel, this glass column stretches far above neighbouring high rises to give unrivalled views over Atlanta through its floor-to-ceiling windows. To top it all off, literally, it’s capped with The Sun Dial, a three-tiered venue featuring a revolving restaurant, rotating cocktail lounge, and observatory floor with 360-degree views, all reached by an external glass elevator that scales the glazed cylinder in just 85 seconds. Far below, on the 11th floor, the indoor pool’s just as spectacular, with its curved glass roof folding away to let in the sun on hot Atlanta days. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Westin Peachtree Plaza was treated to a $70 million renovation, adding extras like BikeWESTIN cycles, and turning this statuesque pillar into one of downtown Atlanta’s most up-to-date pads.

Room service ordered and never arrived. I called about an hour later. No one answered phone at front desk, concierge or room service for over a half hour. When I did reach someone they said the girl never put in the order before leaving for the day. Then I put the sign on the door for breakfast delivery at 8pm for delivery the following… Read more

When I did reach someone they said the girl never put in the order before leaving for the day. Then I put the sign on the door for breakfast delivery at 8pm for delivery the following morning at 6am. When I checked at 6:15am they never took the sign off the door or placed the order. Westin did comp the meals (28$) but for someone who travels for work I already do not pay for the meals and really just want a smooth experience. Skipping Westin from now on. Read less

This restaurant has amazing food, a beautiful view, and superior service. It really is just a fantastic restaurant. Prices are a bit high at Sundial restaurant at the top, but i think it’s worth it. I wouldn’t take small children, don’t really think it’s worth the price. This is a great experience for teens and adults though. Very classy and… Read more

We checked in on Thursday evening and Erica L was at the front desk. It was our first stay at this Westin and she was incredible. Enthusiastic and welcoming. We told her it was our 20 year anniversary and she was so quick at check in, efficient and made such a difference. She was highly professional yet warm and engaging. Excellent experience!

We originally had one room for 3 adults and a 7 year old; the rooms are nice but a little small. After the first night I decided to check and see about another room so I could get some sleep the last two nights of the trip. It was no problem and rates were fair. Hotel is nice, clean, friendly staff. Great pool area and great views of the city.

I attended a conference at the Westin and stayed in the 21st floor. The hotel is round, and my room felt small, which was compounded by the odd shape. I attended a conference at the Westin and stayed in the 21st floor. The hotel is round, and my room felt small, which was compounded by the odd shape. None of the rooms come with refrigerators or microwaves. The hotel caterer, cafe, and restaurant said they cannot prepare meals safe for someone with Celiac disease, so I had to purchase and bring my own food. I had to plead for a refrigerator and travel down 15 floors to use a microwave in the lobby. The bed had an obvious indentation, so I slept in a “hole” in the mattress. WiFi is $12/day in the guest rooms but was free in the lobby and meeting rooms. Meeting rooms were cold, as usual, but chairs were comfortable. Read less
