A statement hotel, this glass column stretches far above neighbouring high rises to give unrivalled views over Atlanta through its floor-to-ceiling windows. To top it all off, literally, it’s capped with The Sun Dial, a three-tiered venue featuring a revolving restaurant, rotating cocktail lounge, and observatory floor with 360-degree views, all reached by an external glass elevator that scales the glazed cylinder in just 85 seconds. This hotel is a shame to the Marriott chain! The hotel is in VERY bad shape it should be closed for renovations! Even worse don’t expect your room to de done every day, even if you request so . The swimming pool should be cleaned, walls of the swimming pool are brown ! 26 $ for a breakfast buffet that is nothing but average, where you get an outstanding buffet for 24 $ in New Orleans in an hôtel of the shame chain is unacceptable! Restaurant was closed one morning for breakfast. One day housekeeping did not come by until 6:30PM. At check-out the front desk stated they would email my reciept - still waiting for it. Called the Westin last week to get a copy they took my info and stated they would email it to me. It has never arrived. It will be hard to stay here again to many other options in downtown Atlanta. I booked 5 rooms directly with this hotel in April 2019 for this coming October 2019. I received my confirmation and gave them my credit card for the reservation. as a pure fluke i needed to change one of the rooms guest name. so i called them last Friday and was told by them that they have cancelled all my rooms. so you can image my frustration. i booked these room for a conference that was happening at that hotel. I spoke with a manager and they said that they email me the cancellation in June 19 which i never got, when i asked them to resend the original email they said they couldn't..... well there's a surprise.... so now i left with no rooms for the conference and now i have to find another hotel. The Westin was not very help they blamed the conference company...( nice one Westin, blame someone else) as i pointed out to them that the Conference company couldn't cancel my rooms as they had no knowledge of my booking. What a terrible thing to do, what would have happen when we arrive in October with confirmation #'s to be told there's no room. This is highly unprofessional and in all my years of booking business and personal hotel rooms i have never come across such bad business practice.. (to be honest i thought once you have confirmation # and they have your Credit card # its a done deal) because i m sure if i didn't cancelled in time they would charge my credit card. Hotel: Good location for downtown highlights, Rooms need some upgrading, tears in carpet etc. but not bad, rooms, elevators and common areas were clean. WiFi and cell phone reception very poor! Look at my reviews. It takes a lot for me to give a poor rating. Stayed here in May. We had a "Block" of rooms for my sons wedding. Hotel: Good location for downtown highlights, Rooms need some upgrading, tears in carpet etc. but not bad, rooms, elevators and common areas were clean. WiFi and cell phone reception very poor! Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and attentive. Wanted to extend the stay one day on either side of the "Block" when we made the original reservation. We were told Nope, told had to make separate reservations. Ok that's what we did, 3 reservations for 5 consecutive nights. Knew this would be a problem so I called a week before to make sure all the reservations were linked and multiple rooms were near each other. A very helpful person spent about 30 minutes with me on the phone to Link the reservations......all set they said. On check in assured all were linked and things would be seamless. No changing rooms, keys etc. Yep sure enough after the first reservation ended, housekeeping told us were were supposed to be checked out. Keys for the room deactivated which meant could not use the elevators either. Down to the front desk. New keys issued, asked if this would happen again after the second reservation ends. "Nope" all taken care of. You guessed it, Keys deactivated again, Housekeeping knocking telling us we should be checked out..down to the desk again...Staff was Nice, apologetic, new keys again! On check in gave my new Bonvoy number.. asked to put on ALL reservations."Will do". Nope only shows up on one of the stays. Had a second room for some of the nights for relatives. Asked to be near each other....nope, different floor, other side of the building, no credit for that rooms stay on my Bonvoy account either. After the stay, contacted the hotel about the stay by email. They promised to take care of stays onto the card, extra points for "inconvenience". Had to re-contact weeks later to get the bonus points, still no credit for the stays. Asked that my emails be forwarded to the GM Ron Tarson...weeks later still no contact from him and no credit for my stays. Maybe this review will get Mr. Tarpon's attention. Lots of Hotels in Atlanta. Too many problems for me to recommend this one. New Bonvoy rewards system seems to have problems after the merger. Poor corporate support for Bonvoy and correcting missed stays compared to other hotel chains. The day to day staff were pleasant, helpful and all expressed that feeling of Southern Hospitality. Just seems that there is problems with coordination and that reflects on management both local and national. Read less

I loved the view from my window. I also really liked all of the places to eat inside the hotel. Slightly overpriced but I will for sure stay again for the next time I'm in downtown Atlanta. We had room service every day despite all the rooms the staff were expected to clean.
