The Whitley, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Atlanta Buckhead

The hotel

Buckland is home to some of the best restaurants, shopping, art galleries and nightlife in Atlanta, an is one of the most affluent and trendy communities in the area. If this sound like you're kind of vibe, then the newly renovated, sophisticated Whitley hotel puts you in a great location to explore all of this. If you're staying on a Saturday, we highly recommend trying out 'Tipsy Tea' at the Trade Root restaurant within the hotel, where you can try gin infused teas alongside your classic finger sandwiches and teatime bakes. The restaurant and lounge is great at any time of day though, and you can even enjoy some live jazz music whilst sipping on a cocktail on select evenings. When you're not enjoying the food and drink on offer, book a treatment in the spa or relax in the sauna. And if you really want to make the most of the hotel's facilities, upgrade to a club room to enjoy the additional benefits of the lounge - hors d'oeuvres and wine in the evening?! That's a yes from us.

During my stay, I had breakfast at the restaurant where my server Onyx was superb. Her friendly and professional demeanor was evidently very natural. Onyx’s service was fast and efficient. Thank you Onyx and Whitley for making my trip a pleasure instead of a pain. I will definitely booking again during my travel to Atlanta.

Recommend, 5/5! LJ was a breath of fresh air after walking in. She kindly helped me check in, go through the hotel amenities, and even ran up to the hallway as I was checking in to give me the 2nd room key I requested, that was initially forgotten. Overall, with southern hospitality at its finest and a central location in Buckhead, I will return!

My wife and I stayed for a long weekend while shopping for a property in the neighborhood. The trip was wonderful largely because of our experience at the Whitley. We arrived early and the staff couldn't be any nicer. Just warm, welcoming, friendly, funny. Being Marriott platinum got us upgraded to club level too. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom may have shown a bit of aging, but it was functional and clean - what else do you need, right? We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast at the club lounge and at the restaurant - both wonderful experiences. We shared a glass of wine and a burger in the restaurant - nice and relaxing atmosphere after a busy day seeing properties. So, in the end we purchased a condo in the high rise nearby. We're soon making the relocation trip and will need a place to stay while renovations are under way at our condo. We will spend these days as Whitley's guests and we know that everyone there will make us feel at home. Read less

I attended a mixology class at the Whitley Collection Hotel. Our Bartender Tsegaye was awesome!! This was my first experience attending a mixology class and I had a great time tasting the different mixed drinks Tsegaye made for us! I will definitely attend again! KD
