One night stay. Prior to our arrival we tried calling hotel to ask about valet parking but never got through. We paid 40 dollars a night for valet parking.. When we arrived at 3 pm all valet spots in front of hotel were occupied with no valet attendant around or people in their cars. We drove around for 15 minutes and all the same cars were still parked there. Frustrating..We ended up having to pay to park on the street up the road while husband went into the Aloft to ask the front desk about the situation. One lady was working the Front desk was polite and we were just told to keep driving around until a spot opens up. Duh.... but no cars were moving!! They were all the same cars as we drove around the sane block 3 times. Overall, the room was clean and minimalist. The pool was nice. However they kept the music playing all night I we could hear it in our room the entire night. At least turn off the music at midnight! I would stay there again despite frustrations with the valet parking situation. Read less

I arrived to Aloft hotel New Orleans Downtown from the airport on 5/22 around 12 am. Tired from my flight from NY, the first thing I wanted to do was to wash up, change and go to sleep. Check in process was smooth and easy, no problem. Once I got to my first room, 1) I noticed stains on the dirty carpet but what can you do. I wore my own slippers around the room with socks on. 2) Tried turning on the TV but it was not working and the front desk had advised that they will send a technician to take a look but it was 12:15am, I wanted to go to sleep so I turned it down. 3) When I went into the bathroom, I noticed black curly hairs in the washing basin & the counter, a little grossed out but things happen. I let that go as well. 4) I got in the shower and the first thing I noticed was the plastic wrapper on top of the body soap dispenser. Again, I'm so tired, I let that slide as well. 5) HOWEVER, when I opened the toilet seat cover to use the toilet, I noticed YELLOW PEE STAINS on the toilet! and I haven't even used it yet! Mortified at how unclean the room was, especially during the period of COVID pandemic, I was beyond lost for words called the front desk again. They apologized and sent someone up with the key to my new room. 6) When I went up to the new room, carrying my own luggage and other belongings there was a trash can outside of that room. 7) Key did not work. At this point, it was 1:30am, I was beyond exhausted. I went down to the lobby myself, with all my luggages, they apologized again and assigned me to another room. I got to my 3rd room, I thought everything was fine, then 8) I noticed that the TV was not working in this room again. No point in letting the front desk know. The manager called, she apologized for my whole experience, I let her know the TV wasn't working again. Told me she would extend my check out until 3pm but I wasn't going to stay any longer than I needed to so I declined. 9) I see a clear plastic dress shirt collar-stay on the floor of my 3rd room. I only brought dresses for this trip, so obviously not mine. Of course. This room was not thoroughly cleaned. Not surprised. Now it's 2:30am, I tried going to sleep but heard a rolling cart sound from the floor above throughout the whole entire night. It's fair to say that I did not get to sleep at all that night. 10) As I'm checking out, I've let the front desk know that this 3rd room was not clearly cleaned either as I found something on the floor. They defended how everyone's new, and the cleaning crew that they hired is new, but what does that have to do with anything that I have experienced? I still cannot believe the HORRENDOUS experience I had at Aloft New Orleans Downtown and how hotels run by a reputable brand like MARRIOTT could offer such filthy hospitality service. I am far beyond, EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and feel ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING staying at ALOFT NEW ORLEANS DOWNTOWN. STAY AWAY!! Read less

No one greeted us when we came in. The front desk just said ‘ID and Credit card!” No sort free snacks or coffee to welcome me. No thanking me for being a member, nothing else! Valet parking was a mess!! I was charged for an oversized car on one of my nights, thankfully the hotel took care of that prior to leaving. I waited over 30 mins for my car… Read more

Valet parking was a mess!! I was charged for an oversized car on one of my nights, thankfully the hotel took care of that prior to leaving. I waited over 30 mins for my car the last morning there. The valet parked it up on a curb around the side of the hotel and I had to push my cart full of baggage to the car! What the heck!!?? Read less
