New Orleans, Louisiana

The hotel

Whether you're in the Big Easy for the music, the shops or just to get a taste of the Deep South, Aloft New Orleans Downtown is on hand to give you a great base. As you'd expect from a hotel that's got its finger firmly on the fast-paced pulse, you'll find fitness facilities, super speedy WiFi and even a grab 'n' go snack counter available around the clock, as well as a rooftop pool open morning, noon and night. The W XYZ bar offers the very best in classic and contemporary tunes as well as live acoustic sets, cocktails and draft beers, meaning you don't have to roam too far to have fun although, with Bourbon Street and the French Quarter nearby it would be rude not to spend at least one night on the tiles. Thanks to plush platform signature beds in your comfy guest room you'll have every opportunity to kick back and relax after a good day's sightseeing or naughty night out, and if you're looking for that extra touch of magic to compliment your stay in the South then Aloft certainly fits the bill.

I absolutely loved the hotel. The room was beautiful and updated to a modern look. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to any couple and or family. It is within walking distance to the the casino, the Riverwalk and other places.

I had a great stay. I was surprised my room didn’t have a window but not disappointed at all. I didn’t even miss it. One of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in— Especially for NOLA. The front desk staff was amazing! Convenient to Canal and Bourbon. You can walk to Harrahs. I wish valet parking was a little cheaper but at least they were… Read more

To be honest this was not a good experience. The thing was mostly cleanliness and maintenance issues. We were checked into a room that wasn't clean enough especially with covid. There were dripping handprints, dirty toilet and fridge. Second room that we actually stayed in was missing a closet door and the bathroom door was broken. But the front… Read more

When I check in any hotel I check to see if everything is clean this was the most trifling room I’ve ever been in . As soon as I pulled back the blanket stains , dirt & hair on the sheets . Blood and dirt stains on the pillowcases it’s clear this room was never cleaned. It’s very ridiculous that a housekeeper would lie and say a room is clean when it isn’t . I thought they had housekeeping inspectors at hotels but this clearly isn’t the case. It’s coronavirus no one deserves to be put in harms way & on top of that I just survived a hurricane. Due to the hurricane my lights was out in my house . If you decide to stay at this hotel don’t be surprised if your sheets are dirty when you check in . The housekeeping department is incompetent & full of lazy people that would let someone sleep on used sheets from previous guests! Read less

We had to go to Walmart to purchase sheets and towels ourselves. As an HR representative, I usually place our employees at the aloft. But this experience has me concerned Our flight was canceled due to the hurricane and we went to another hotel for we just were not confident we would be able to get appropriate assistance during a difficult time. The smell in the hotel reminded me of Katrina. Fix it. Read less
