Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Quarter

New Orleans, Louisiana

The hotel

Enjoy Louisiana hospitality at its finest at the Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Quarter, a hotel located right in the beating heart of New Orleans. Guest rooms ensure a comfortable base from which to explore the myriad delights this city has to offer. When you’re relaxing on the premises, however, there’s a state-of-the-art gym as well as an outdoor swimming pool, perfect for cooling off in if you’re visiting in warm weather. The real jewel in the crown at this hotel though is Dickie Brennan’s Bourbon House and Beyond. You’ve plenty of wonderful restaurants in the nearby vicinity but Dickie’s is not to be missed. Enjoy a rich array of tantalising Creole specialities, including freshly caught seafood, BBQ shrimp, thick steaks and decadent deserts. And rest assured, if it’s not in season, it’s not on the menu! Oysters are a house speciality, order a dozen at the bar whilst listening to the City’s best shuckers. It’s also a grand spot for a bit of ‘people watching’ with picture windows overlooking the action of Bourbon Street – fun you won’t be able to resist joining in with once dinner’s finished!

I had a great stay. Checked in late but the service was still really professional and nice. The room itself was modern and well decorated. The bed was super comfortable. Everything seemed super clean. The grand hotel is in a great location on canal street and bourbon street. Affordable and great place to stay. Felt safe as a solo female traveler.… Read more

This hotel is old but it's been recently renovated and was clean, quiet, and comfortable for my multi-night stay. The location can't be beat if you're looking to explore the French Quarter as well as the Garden District, Warehouse District, and other nearby areas on foot or via public transportation. There will probably be some obnoxious people outside the entrance, but that's typical French Quarter NoLA. Friendly staff. Luggage storage was convenient. I'd recommend this place. Read less

The hotel is "ok". Rooms were ok. Staff were nice but few. Expect a 30min wait to check in between 4 and 5:30pm. Hotel is older, and tired and in need to maintenance. The curtains in my room were heavily stained in one area. The sink was slow to drain. The bath product pumps in were worn out and the shampoo pump did not work. There… Read more

There is no hotel restaurant... the one in lobby is unaffiliated and only offers breakfast (decent, but only 5 items to choose from) Thursday to Sunday. Gym was decent. Location is biggest issue... it's at corner of Canal Street and Bourbon, which is kind of gross. Think homeless, weed smells, urine, drunks, noise, and lots of people. It's a central location but you really don't want to be walking on canal or standing in front of hotel if you can avoid it. Overall ok, but would not chooose to stay here again if other hotels off of canal or in French quarter available. Read less

I have to say, I had my doubts about this hotel since it was on the corner of Bourbon Street and Canal... I walked in to this hotel and it was beautiful and clean! There were security and bell hops to help with the bags. The bell hop even came to my room to help me fix my wheel on my luggage and would not accept a tip! They had my room ready… Read more
I have to say, I had my doubts about this hotel since it was on the corner of Bourbon Street and Canal... I walked in to this hotel and it was beautiful and clean! There were security and bell hops to help with the bags. The bell hop even came to my room to help me fix my wheel on my luggage and would not accept a tip! They had my room ready early and were very helpful in all of my questions. The room itself was beautiful and had more room than a regular hotel room.. Walking out the front of the hotel were a lot of people standing around, protesting, which is normal around bourbon st. The hotel did have security outside the front also. This is in the perfect spot! The trolly stop is right in the front and it it faces Canal so all your shopping is right there. Bourbon St is right around the corner, literally. I used lyft to get to my cruise terminal and it was around 18.00. Make sure you put your spot to be picked up in front of the hotel, I didnt do this and I had to walk to Royal street to get picked up. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again!! Great price!!! The Hotel and the Concierge, Ms. Carla made our stay and time too amazing. They all went above and beyond to help secure everything from dinner reservations to tour reservations. They were very prompt when asking for services from Housekeeping. The room upgrade and decorations on arrival were amazing. We had the best time with our whole trip.
