This is our 2nd time to stay here after a cruise. The location is outstanding being very close to all of the action on Bourbon. That being said, you should not stay here if you want a quiet stay. They provide ear plugs for rooms facing the street but it is quite loud until around 3 AM. We knew this and personally have no issue with it. We enjoy being able to go out on the balcony to enjoy the sites below. The hotel has a lot of nostalgia being part of the old French Opera House, which is shown throughout the hotel. Rooms are very clean but a little dated, which we don’t mind. Love this hotel! Read less

Great Location, right in the heart of Bourbon Street. Preservation Hall, Pat O’Briens, Jackson Square, and Cafe du Monde were about a 5-10 minute walk. The Four Points by Sheraton was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The room was on the small side, but nicely updated. We loved the 3rd floor balcony that wrapped around the hotel from Bourbon Street to Toulouse Street, providing that New Orleans atmosphere. The noise from Bourbon St. couldn’t be blocked out entirely, but it wasn’t a problem for us. The staff was pleasant. The Valet were very personable. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a Frig and microwave. Read less

Let me just start by saying the location of this hotel is great. Our room was on Toulouse street and it was quite noisy at night but with earplugs(provided by the hotel) we really didn’t have trouble falling asleep. Being tired at the end of the day, mixed with drinks, the Bourbon street noise kind of lulled us to sleep. The noise in the morning in the hallway was irritating though. We could clearly hear conversations being had. We like to sleep later so it was disruptive. This is our fourth visit to this hotel, the previous visit being a couple of years ago. We knew it was not a luxury hotel but loved the location and always thought it was fairly clean. Our room was very shabby. I was trying to operate the coffee machine, which was very old and basic. I initially thought it may have been unplugged so I checked behind the dresser and the amount of filth and dust that was back there was disgusting. Same with behind the side tables. Bathroom was very dated as was all the furniture. Check in time is 4pm. We arrived at 3:30 and were told our room wasn’t ready. Fair enough. We were early. They said they would call us when the room was ready. Went for a drink. Went back to the hotel at 4:30 figuring that they had merely forgotten to call us. Room still wasn’t ready. They gave us some coupons to use at their bar, which we did, but the reality was, we wanted to settle into our room and hit the town. Our room wasn’t ready until almost 6:00. We wasted a couple of hours at the hotel bar which is not any fun at all BTW. The first night we were settling into our room and decided to pop open a bottle of wine. No corkscrew. No problem. We’ll call the front desk and ask them to send one up. Nope, you have to come down to the bar and get the bartender to open it, but we were told we better hurry because the bartender was leaving shortly. So my husband got out of bed, got dressed and made it down to the bar right before closing. Horrible hotel customer service. I have never stayed in a hotel where they won’t help you out when required, especially for something as simple as a corkscrew. No water glasses. Nowhere to hang your towels. I could go on but I’m tired of typing. Location is great though. Read less

Reserved a Bourbon Street balcony room and loved having the balcony overlooking the sights of Bourbon Street. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the room was clean. I had to sleep with the earplugs that were provided by the hotel, but my husband managed to sleep just fine without them. Valet parking was convenient and we never had much of a wait. Someone had charged a meal to our room but the hotel was quick to remove the charge after reviewing and seeing it wasn't the same signature. Only downside is the hotel is rather high priced in my opinion, but I think it's because you pay to be a part of Bourbon Street environment. There aren't many other options with balconies overlooking Bourbon Street. Read less
