Pros: Hotel is in an excellent location. Majority of staff was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Hotel is very clean, amidst a full renovation. Most rooms without fridge or microwave, but ours came with a mini fridge, which we were grateful for. Valet service was amazing and helped load and unload all of our belongings, which was a lot. Cons: "Courtyard" balcony room overlooked the valet garage and hotel dumpsters. When I spoke to the desk about my dissatisfaction, I was advised that they should be called "interior balcony rooms"... though I still would have been disappointed. Literally, no one should pay extra over a standard room to overlook a dumpster. Our balcony was not private, but shared with another room.... and did not come complete with chairs or a table like the website photos would allow you to believe. No ice machines on any floor except 5th... only one elevator operational during our stay, so this made for long wait times in getting in and out of the hotel and up to get ice. No food and beverage services available, though most of the quarter is back up and running. Pool is nice, but no bar or music and the towels are skimpy and had to be requested. LOUD construction happens first thing in the morning... 7-8am early which was super annoying... but more annoying when the noise stopped around 10-11am. Why couldn't they do the loud stuff a little later? It was awful. ((Plus, not a hotel problem, but we watched one of the construction crew members drinking beer at 8am... maybe it was his choice?)) Overall, we've stayed here before and enjoyed it. This stay was not ideal, we're not happy. We did spend some time at another hotel quite close to this one and will do some hotel shopping next time we're in town. Read less

There a couple of pluses. The location is good and the staff so far have been great. The negatives; the ice machine on the second floor doesn’t work, the balcony room we have overlooks a dumpster, the pool towels are like hand towels; cheap and don’t work, the room is dated, no fridge and the balcony doors need to be painted. It looks like they… Read more

It looks like they have black mold. The Omni looks like a much nicer hotel. I’m surprised Marriott cares so little about this property. Also, the hallways smell like weed. Oh and the WiFi is aweful Read less

First of all, the front desk staff and reception agents were wonderful and welcoming. Hotel is in the midst of renovations, so there are holes in the hallways where they are replacing a/c ducts. If you want hot water from tap in bathroom, you must let it run for 20 minutes before it gets hot. Sheets on bed may have been clean but they were definitely stained. Two-and-a-half-inch roach scurried along wall above our bed. Husband had to stand on bed to reach it and noticed thick layer of dust on top of headboard. Balcony had two chairs but no table and overlooked huge construction dumpster. We left room in morning and when we came back around 2:00p, room still had not been cleaned. We called down to reception and they said if you wanted your room clean you had to request it by 9:00a. Restaurant and bar closed. Ice maker on our floor broken. We requested extra coffee packets and they said they would send them right up but no one ever appeared. Oh well. The air conditioner worked good. That’s something, I suppose. Read less

We stayed at this hotel from 6/9/21 to 6/16/21. On 6/14/21 my husband found a bed bug crawling on his face, I had bites on my leg. We immedialty killed the bed bug and brought in down to the manager. Shamika called in the inspection company and he confirmed that we did in fact find a bed bug. He spent less then 10 minutes in our room and then stated that there was only the one and that was it. My husband saw another one that fell behind the bed. I know for a fact that if you have one, you have more. I tried to explain this to the manager and she disregarded us and told us to "check out if we were unhappy" That is completely unprefessional in customer service. As I continued to get more upset she finally said well I guess I could discount you the night that you found the bug, but there are no more bugs. On 6/16/21 I woke to several more bites on my side and several bed bug signs on those nice fresh white clean sheets. We also found a 3 inch cockroach crawling across the bed. We brought this to the manager Chris' attention and he said that he would have someone call us and nobody ever did. The Customer service here is horrible and they have BED BUGS, avoid this place!! The hotel is in the middle of all the action on Bourbon street. We were only in New Orleans for one night and upgrade to a balcony on Bourbon street room. The room was nice, small, the staff we interacted were all very friendly. It was raining but you could still sit out on the balcony and people watch.
