Also, the incredible lady in security as she saved me from being very depressed as I left what I thought was 1 item in my room, turned out to be 3. Thank you sweet lady!!! Check in was quick, fast and we were given a very early check in. That, we appreciate so much. Our room was a suite with a king bed. The furniture was a little worn but hey, give it a couple hours and you won’t even notice. The patio was fun to set on and watch the excitement below. Overall it was a great trip and I would absolutely stay here again. I do suggest bringing a fan if you want to sleep!! Even with earplugs provided by the hotel, it is quite loud. With our fan, we hardly heard the party happening after our partying was over! Only one suggestion.... you need to serve BEIGNETS!! Everyone wants them and we would have eaten at the hotel if you had them. Good hotel, great price! Read less

We had a great time getting to see NOLA for the first time ever. Staying at this hotel made it extra special and that was primarily due to its prime location. Being in the heart of the French Quarter—at the corner of Bourbon Street and Toulouse—not only is crazy convenient, but also very fun! If you want access to all of the activities and hot spots of the city, but still feeling safe and comfortable, stay in a room at this hotel. Book a room without a balcony if you want to make sure you don’t get too much street noise, but if you don’t mind that, or want to use the earplugs provided in each room, then get a balcony room on either street for the opportunity to peer over the iconic streets of the FQ, maybe throw a few beads while you’re at it. The location is also great because you can walk almost everywhere if you give yourself enough time. The only minus is that at peak busy times, the traffic (both people walking and cars) can make it a little crazy to get a ride somewhere further if you need one, but the front desk can help you get the cab, ride share, or bike petty-cab to get you to where you need to go ASAP. Just give yourself plenty of time just in case! On that same note, the streets nearby turn into walking streets after a certain hour in NOLA, so be aware of that. Ask the front desk if you need to know more details on how that could effect you and your plans. The standard rooms are on the smaller side, including the bathrooms. But overall still not necessarily a bad thing, just something to note. They do utilize the space provided well with storage areas for your belongings including counter space in the bathroom and a closet and dresser, considering how much less efficient I’ve seen other hotels utilize space in similar sized rooms before, this one was definitely ideal in that sense. We are used to staying in 4-star to 5-star hotels and this was the equivalent of that for FQ considering how crazy it gets at night and how old and dilapidated most of the buildings are surrounding it. The hotel was recently renovated throughout and everything seems well maintained also. Security-wise it was great too because you needed to provide your room key at the door after a certain time. Also the streets are well-lot nearby and plenty of law enforcement hang out right outside at night because of how centralized the location of the hotel is to the nightlife, so that’s another security-related bonus! If you have a car, they provide valet parking for a nightly fee but it is reasonable and so convenient especially since most places don’t have as great of a parking set up as this place does. Ask the concierge for sightseeing and food recommendations if you want a more local opinion plus they can tell you what is walking distance, etc. And if you want a map (if you like to have something other than just your phone, or in case it dies) to help you stay oriented. Plenty of pamphlets there too. Plus they can book tours, make reservations at restaurants, etc. too if you need last minute help with that. I love TripAdvisor, OpenTable, etc. as much as the next person, but sometimes a local / more personalized touch is well appreciated and can make your trip more special. And another thing to note, there aren’t any mini fridges in most hotels in NOLA apparently...? We usually like to have one for leftovers from a restaurant but we couldn’t do that. But if you need a mini-fridge for medical reasons you might want to ask ahead about that. P.S. we stayed here over the College Football Playoff National Championship weekend, which was a very busy and crazy time for NOLA (we heard from locals, not quite as bad as Mardi Gras, but definitely on the crazier end of the spectrum) and we had a great time. Overall we had a great stay here, very clean, friendly staff, nice room and lobby, super convenient and fun location. No complaints or issues! Will probably come back and stay here again. Read less

Staff were friendly and some were helpful. Rooms old and worn. We thought the ear plugs on each side of the bed were for the music on Bourbon Street. You really need them to prevent hearing the entire conversation of people waiting for the elevator and/or in the room next door. Valet parking is efficient if they are not busy texting when you want your car. If driving, difficult to get n or out due to traffic, but it is conveniently located in the heart of NOLA - hence the extra star. Place is old and tired without the charm or character. Read less

We stayed at the Four Points in December for one night, pre-cruise. Check in was quick and efficient and our room was ready. We were in room 400 a corner room facing Bourbon Street. The room was actually large with a handicap bathroom. Lots of windows let in good light. There was a desk, nice TV, coffee maker, and safe. I was very disappointed with the closet or lack thereof. There was a small stand up dresser that could only hold about 5 hangers of clothes. Bathroom was large and clean as expected. Large shower since this was a handicap room. Overall the room was well appointed as usual. The main disappointment was the view from the 5 windows. We were in room 400 on the fourth floor, this is a corner room. This room is right above the Bourbon street balcony so the balcony blocked our view. See pictures from the room. If you are expecting to see Bourbon Street this is not your room. Sunday morning we went down for breakfast. Very disappointing. First we waited at the restaurant entrance to get seated. Since we were never addressed we finally saw a waitress and asked if we just seat our self. From across the room a woman said, no I will be there to seat you shortly, so we were off to a bad start. They seated us at a table that was all set up and looked very nice, however when we sat down we discovered salt or sugar was all over the table so it was actually not clean at all. There were only about 4 tables with customers when we arrived. We ordered coffee and water and waited…waited…waited… and never saw a waitress again. After waiting about 15 minutes we just left money for the coffee and left. The restaurant was so empty there was really no excuse for this slow poor service. We did tell the front desk but didn’t get the feeling they would roll up our experience to management. Checkout is at 11:30, we asked for an additional hour and the answer was no. No exceptions. We left luggage in storage for a few hours and that was efficient. Overall the hotel is in an excellent location, the room was as expected. Service was lacking. Read less
