This hotel room was purchased as part of a charitable auction. The room we were placed in was on the canal street side of the building. The room is so noisy you might as well be sitting on canal street. There is no weatherstripping on the french doors so every noise from the street enters the room. They seem to allow bands to conduct rap battles on the sidewalk in front of the hotel. I asked to be moved and was told that there were no other king rooms available and that the only other room available was a double room on the Ibberville street side of the building which the desk clerk stated is just as bad as the canal street side. The shower had broken tiles in it and is moldy. We were unable to get the chrome cast on the tv to work but they did sent a technician quickly. We are awaiting a solution. The desk staff are very friendly and we can’t complain about the courtesy we have been shown but the room is not great. Read less

First and foremost, I would like to start this review by saying that I have Discoverist status with World of Hyatt and have been a loyal Hyatt customer...until now. First and foremost, I would like to start this review by saying that I have Discoverist status with World of Hyatt and have been a loyal Hyatt customer...until now. This is my last day at Hyatt Centric in the French Quarters and it can't come fast enough. Let's start with the good: 1. The lobby area is clean and has many modern touches. 2. The hotel offers Chromecast in all rooms (supposedly) 3. Room service is OK and is delivered quickly. 4. The manager at the front desk, Andrew, is very polite and professional. The bad: 1. There was a mouse in my room....A MOUSE!!! I asked to be moved, which they did quickly, but a mouse in a room is unacceptable. Upon coming to my room to check for the mouse, the engineering department put down sticky traps which indicates to me that this may be a continuing problem. What I soon discovered was a 3/4 inch gap in the bottom of each of the hotel rooms. So once a mouse gets in to the hotel, it can basically travel from room to room with ease. YIKES! 2. Upon moving, I asked if I could have a second luggage rack (I didn't want any luggage on the floor after the mouse mishap). I was told that it would be sent to my room right away. I never received it. 3. Of course, the Chromecast didn't work in the new room. A few hours after moving, I called to ask again for the luggage rack and if someone could check the Chromecast. They said they would send someone right away, but no one came. 4. The furniture in the second room is very damaged. Someone did a terrible caulk job in the bathroom and there is at least one tile disconnected from the wall. 5. You can hear everything happening on Bourbon street in the second room. If you want some sleep, you may need to bring ear plugs. 6. Upon moving, my World of Hyatt account and account review on the TV never worked again and showed me only staying for a day. This is surely to mess with my qualifying days. I'm very disappointed in Hyatt! Read less

Room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Check in process could have been better since checking in online still required a long wait at reception to complete and get key. Overall a nice hotel with spacious rooms and we loved our courtyard view.

This may be my new favorite hotel in the French Quarter....just a few steps from Borboun Street but also a quite oasis afterwards. Added bonus of super comfty robes and great in room coffee. The staff was very welcoming and attentive.
