The staff was caring, accommodating and fast to take care of any needs. Felt very welcomed and cared for. Felt at home for the days I was there. Everyone was happy to recommend places to visit and eat around the city. Loved how friendly everyone was, very nice and approachable staff. Highly recommend.

My husband, I, and our 2 corgis stayed here 3 nights in February during Covid to escape the Coldpocalypse in Texas. We enjoyed our stay. Our 2nd floor “petite suite” was fairly spacious and had very high ceilings, which I loved. It had a full size L-couch and round table but not a dedicated dining table and chairs. It opened up to a courtyard, which was very helpful for the dogs as the courtyard had big planters where they could do their business (it seems most of the dogs in the hotel were situated around this courtyard). But the area is not dog friendly. It’s a minimum 3 block walk to a green spot (N Rampart St). There’s no green space in the French Quarter that the dogs can access. If I had to do it again with the dogs, I’d stay around Lafayette Square in the CBD. The hotel is right on Bourbon street which will either be a pro or a con to you. The hotel had hand sanitizer everywhere and was good about enforcing mask wearing rules to people who “forgot.” We had the Hyatt “save 20% with free breakfast” rate which was served at the Powdered Sugar casual eatery in the lobby, which allowed us to pick any item of $12 or less, which was everything except the omelette and the boudin Benedict. $12 or less seems stingy but the “French Quarter Breakfast” was massive, tasty, and included coffee. At $42, valet parking is expensive, but you could also self-park at a garage across the street to save $20 a night, which they informed us of at check-in. If there’s room for improvement it’s going to be noise isolation. Obviously the Bourbon street location means young revelers, but there are massive gaps under the doors to the rooms (like 1”) which let in not only noise but also the weed smoke from across the hall, and connecting rooms let in more noise as well (I’d rather enjoy my THC directly and not second hand). We placed towels at the bottom of the doors to help mitigate. Read less

We found the hotel and staff to be very welcoming and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and had hands free sanitation stations throughout the hotel. Common areas had separated seating for distancing. The restaurant had a great selection for breakfast. The renovated hotel was very nice.

If you want to be in the quarters good location - if you’re looking for the amenities of a Hyatt don’t waste your time. Also parking is overpriced if you can find someone who works for valet - no room service or food in general after 2pm and NO housekeeping.
