Le Meridien New Orleans

New Orleans, Louisiana

The hotel

Deep in downtown, Le Méridien New Orleans presents The Big Easy in all its glitzy glory. After a mega-million dollar refit, it mixes the city’s refined style and sense of fun, with pops of yellow and blue, music-inspired accessories, and reflections of New Orleans in its photography. Location’s key of course – it’s just 100 metres from Bourbon Street and Harrah’s Casino, and 300 metres from the French Quarter. And they’ve teamed up with The Sweat Social to bring you running tours, Priority Bicycles to offer bike hire, and three incredible art museums to give you complimentary entry. Returning to base, you can swim in the rooftop pool, dine on Deep South inspired dishes at LMNO, and take time out in The Hub – a café-come-bar with complimentary WiFi, a New American menu, and an evening aperitif hour featuring sparkling cocktails.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Worst hotel experience I have had! Stay away from this Hotel!

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I have had better sleep in a tent in Afghanistan than in this place. The room was in disrepair. The bathroom had a cracked sink. The shower leaked water onto the bathroom floor and the water was barely warm. The AC vents were broken and dirty. The curtain on the window was falling down. You can… Read more

The shower leaked water onto the bathroom floor and the water was barely warm. The AC vents were broken and dirty. The curtain on the window was falling down. You can hear police sirens all night long and the walls are paper thin. Most frustrating thing was that we were woken up at 2AM to the sound of a prostitute screaming in the room next door. My 14 year old daughter had to hear that garbage. Good luck getting any kind of sleep in this nasty hotel. For the $350 a night with parking I DO NOT recommend this hotel. Such a rip off. Read less

Too many great properties in this area to pick this hotel again. The room and hotel are very nice, but the customer service and attention to detail are lacking. I have been trying to two days to reach the General Manager as I was awarded a suite night through my Marriott Platinum benefits, however, I never got a suite. I want that award back. No one will return the call, no e-mails have been returned. And the front desk seemed to not really care. I was texted around 12:30 in the afternoon that my room was ready. Only to arrive at 4 and learn that it wasn't ready. There was no explanation just, it's not ready. We can store your bags. I said aren't rooms guaranteed at 4--yes they are. um, why is my room and every other room not ready--no answers, just blank stares. Then to top it off, we get a standard room--which would be fine if they didn't take my suite night award and our shower didn't drain. So by the end of the shower, you are standing in ankle-deep water. Again, too many great Marriott Properties to ever stay here again. Read less

Easy check-in Valet was nice ($49 per night) The room was spacious, but the bathroom was tight. Walking distance to riverwalk, the casino, canal and bourbon street. As of now the restaurant and bar is closed down due to Covid-19 but don't worry plenty of restaurant in walking distance.

Stayed here 4 nights and were told there would be no servicing of the rooms. The restaurant and bar were also closed, which we were not notified about a head of time. Stayed here 4 nights and were told there would be no servicing of the rooms. The restaurant and bar were also closed, which we were not notified about a head of time. Only 2 of the 4 elevators actually worked. First room we were given was right outside the elevators, so it was crazy loud especially since the door didn't go all the way to the floor. It reeked of cigarette smoke the second you walked in (spoiler alert: this is a non-smoking hotel). Bathroom had dust and water-marks everywhere. Went to wash my hands with hot water, turned the faucet, nothing came out. So no hot water. The shower was dirty and had mold throughout. Then went to use the toilet, opened it up, and there was a turd sitting in it. There were dust, finger prints, and water spots throughout the bedroom. We asked to change rooms the next day, didn't write any of the issues down, and told us to pack all of our stuff up, come down, and then they would give us a new room. When we came downstairs another woman was at the desk. She asked, "Checking out?" We replied, "No, changing rooms." She curtly responded, "Changing rooms, huh.." Rolled her eyes and then gave us our new keys. The second room was away from the elevators, didn't have any feces in the toilet, and had hot water, but there was still mold in the shower and hard water spots everywhere. The room and bathroom also still had dust and waterspots throughout. Air conditioning had to be set at 58 degrees to get some sort of room cooling. The headboard had stains and because no one would come service the room, I had to remake the entire bed everyday because the bedding didn't fit the bed (mattress cover for a queen bed on a king, no fitted sheet, and down comforter for a queen on a king). When I tried to straighten out the mattress cover, I saw stains on the mattress that looked like someone had given birth. I understand that the hospitality industry as a whole is struggling to come back after COVID lockdowns. However, these is a basic level of cleanliness expected when you stay at a hotel, especially a Marriott property. If you are unable to properly clean and maintenance each room, then you should not be open until you can. I will never stay here again. You couldn't pay me to. Read less

The entire parking area is gridlock all of the time, completely understaffed, we had to unload from the middle of the street in traffic. Checked in, and were advised there is no restaurant, bar, room service or cleaning service. I checked in 24 hrs in advance, and logged an ammenity request for towels and shampoo however nothing was in room. Upon arrival, i called down to front desk and was told i could pick up towels at front desk. Let's be clear, there is zero customer service at this hotel, they positively don't care. I am career Marriott, multi year Titanium status, and can tell you this hotel while structually very nice, is completely mis-managed, has no leadership. We are here for 3 more days and wish we could leave.. DO NOT STAY HERE.. Dont even get me started on the room.. stains on couch pillows, trash in halls, room floor not vacuumed, just dirty...
