Le Meridien New Orleans

New Orleans, Louisiana

Virgin rating

The hotel

Deep in downtown, Le Méridien New Orleans presents The Big Easy in all its glitzy glory. After a mega-million dollar refit, it mixes the city’s refined style and sense of fun, with pops of yellow and blue, music-inspired accessories, and reflections of New Orleans in its photography. Location’s key of course – it’s just 100 metres from Bourbon Street and Harrah’s Casino, and 300 metres from the French Quarter. And they’ve teamed up with The Sweat Social to bring you running tours, Priority Bicycles to offer bike hire, and three incredible art museums to give you complimentary entry. Returning to base, you can swim in the rooftop pool, dine on Deep South inspired dishes at LMNO, and take time out in The Hub – a café-come-bar with complimentary WiFi, a New American menu, and an evening aperitif hour featuring sparkling cocktails.

Hotel stay was very accommodating. Attended the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated Regional Conference. One member of the staff at front office needs special recognition; Ms. Coco - she was especially professional and helpful. Provided recommendations and assisted with family activities/attractions. I will be returning here again.

The double bed rooms are oddly designed and very small. The shower had lots of black mild/mildew. We requested a king room but was told there were none available upon check-in. Pool and gym are small but nice. Very loud inside the hotel and on the streets below. Convenient, but would not stay there again.

I had a wonderful stay at Le Meridien in New Orleans. I really enjoyed the excellent support from the assistant general manager and even more the really nicely renovated room. The breakfast was freshly prepared and of great quality. Nice staff to support any request we had during our stay.

Great Location Front desk staff was not helpful. The city was closing roads around the hotel for an event and I asked the front desk if I would be able to get out in the morning. I was told "I dont know, I dont know nothing about that." It was all over the local news about the road closures so I was concerned. When I asked again I was told to… Read more

I was told "I dont know, I dont know nothing about that." It was all over the local news about the road closures so I was concerned. When I asked again I was told to look it up myself. I told her that wasnt acceptable. Only then did she go and ask somebody. I had to call the front desk because marijauna smoke was so bad in the hallway that it was making our room smell bad. Valet parked our car and when they returned it it smelled heavily of the odor of marijuana smoke. Read less
