Le Meridien New Orleans

New Orleans, Louisiana

Virgin rating

The hotel

Deep in downtown, Le Méridien New Orleans presents The Big Easy in all its glitzy glory. After a mega-million dollar refit, it mixes the city’s refined style and sense of fun, with pops of yellow and blue, music-inspired accessories, and reflections of New Orleans in its photography. Location’s key of course – it’s just 100 metres from Bourbon Street and Harrah’s Casino, and 300 metres from the French Quarter. And they’ve teamed up with The Sweat Social to bring you running tours, Priority Bicycles to offer bike hire, and three incredible art museums to give you complimentary entry. Returning to base, you can swim in the rooftop pool, dine on Deep South inspired dishes at LMNO, and take time out in The Hub – a café-come-bar with complimentary WiFi, a New American menu, and an evening aperitif hour featuring sparkling cocktails.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and when we are in NOLA again, we'd definitely stay here again. Read less

Our stay was very rough. When we arrived, at 6pm, we were told our room was not ready. The person helping us did not have an eta but worked to find a room. Finally it was ready. We were put in an ADA room, which was fine, but the room was very old and had a lot of issues. A replacement thermostat was stuck on top of the old one. The remote box for… Read more
Our stay was very rough. When we arrived, at 6pm, we were told our room was not ready. The person helping us did not have an eta but worked to find a room. Finally it was ready. We were put in an ADA room, which was fine, but the room was very old and had a lot of issues. A replacement thermostat was stuck on top of the old one. The remote box for the drapes did not work so we could not open our drapes. The mini-fridge did not work well and food was not kept cold. The shower had no way to keep water from flooding out of that area. The entire bathroom floor flooded while my daughter took a shower. We called for maintenance and they had to wet-vac our bathroom. The maintenance person brought us a ton of towels just in case it happens again. I assumed it would happen again, I laid down a wall of towels to keep the water in the shower area. The toilet did not flush all of the time. The room service menu had the wrong times for room service which was frustrating because we were in town for a tournament that started early. We had no other way to get food. The menu said room service at 6am but front desk said it starts at 6:30am. I informed them of the times the menu in the room stated. The response was, "I don't know why it says that." We valet parked our vehicle and when I tried to text for my car to be brought to the valet area, the system said it did not have our ticket on record. Luckily, our car was parked on location. I called for help with my luggage, the morning I checked out, and requested a luggage cart. After 25 minutes, I had to start heading out to leave, so I had to take everything myself without a cart. I am not one to leave bad reviews but this stay was one the worst stays I have ever had a hotel. We would not stay in this hotel again. Read less

I am a travel agent. I sent my client to this hotel because she wanted to be close to the Aquarium and other local attractions. The hotel was beautiful and the location was perfect. She was able to walk everywhere. However, once the valet parked her car they didn't lock it! She returned to her car to find personal belongings strewn all over the back seat. Her bag that held the contents, gone! She asked the attendant and he suggested that maybe she just forgot the bag in her room. How is that helpful? And those at the front desk weren't helpful either. Speaking of the front desk...I sent my client beignets as a surprise and they sat at the front desk for hours before my client received them. The front desk blamed the delivery person and vice versa. Oh and if you need to do business, there is no business center. Read less

Albert and the crew were wonderful. Our room was so clean and spacious, and also a perfect location for all of the great shopping and restaurant spots. We came down for a volleyball tournament and it was also a quick walk to the convention center. We had a great stay at Le Méridien and will definitely be back!
