The hotel

My family and I visited 7/19-7/24/2024. The hotel itself was nice, but the customer service needs improving. The hotel had outside events planned. I wish that was made known when we booked the hotel. The two restaurants in the hotel were mostly out of service to the visitors staying there. We were given a $15 a day credit, but we never go to use it. If open, it would have limited our walking in the rain. We made it work. If we plan to come to New Orleans again, we won’t stay here. Read less

I stayed at Royal Sonesta on my way home from a cruise. We arrived at the hotel early unsure if the room would be available at 8:30. However, Chantal greeted us and was a ray of sunshine. I had the best conversation with her while she was checking for room availability. For a small fee we were able to head to our room. The room was perfect. I had a trim with a balcony overlooking the side street. The balcony is small but I was able to listen to the bustling going on. We had breakfast at desire and it was delicious. The Cajun Benedict was to die for. The portions were large and the staff were friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot. I will definitely stay here again. Read less
