We stayed in a room with a balcony on Bourbon Street. What a great experience. Yes there was noise but we didn't care bc you were part of the city. The hotel was magnificent and so well kept. We can't wait to return.

Great lobby, best location, friendly service, and a nice quiet king room on the Conti Street side, even though it was Bayou Classic Weekend. Convenient PJ's coffee in the lobby. Cafe Beignet across the street, also around the corner. Separate note about the Jazz club. It is no cover, so many of the patrons are not from the hotel. They pack them… Read more

Cafe Beignet across the street, also around the corner. Separate note about the Jazz club. It is no cover, so many of the patrons are not from the hotel. They pack them in. When we arrived, we were seated at a table with a blocked view. We asked to sit in a spot with a view and the hostess said no. 2 minutes later another couple was seated in the exact spot we asked for. We decided to leave right then. That was fine, because there's so many other places for music. Read less

The hotel is very nice in all the ways other reviews mention. If you get a room on Bourbon Street, be prepared for amplified music every night until 3am. On the other side of the hotel, on the courtyard side, there is no street noise but the sound proofing is inadequate to shield the noise of slamming doors, and patrons laughing, talking, and… Read more

On the other side of the hotel, on the courtyard side, there is no street noise but the sound proofing is inadequate to shield the noise of slamming doors, and patrons laughing, talking, and yelling in the hallways every night also until 3am and later. You can also hear loud people next door and above. It's a shame that inconsiderate people ruin a stay at such a nice hotel. Read less

We had reservations at another hotel in the French Quarter for a balcony room. When we arrived they informed us that they could honor the reservation for a balcony room. We had reservations at another hotel in the French Quarter for a balcony room. When we arrived they informed us that they could honor the reservation for a balcony room. So we started calling around and found a balcony room available at the Royal Sonesta a few blocks away on Bourbon Street. We were a little put off by the location right on Bourbon Street, but it ended up being a wonderful place to stay. The lobby is beautiful, the staff is very accommodating, and the pool is a gorgeous retreat from the rogue decadence that occurs on Bourbon Street. We would definitely stay here again. Read less

Great hotel with the best location! Great service! Friendly staff! Clean rooms! I highly recommend getting a room with a balcony. People watching was one of our favorite pastimes on Bourbon Street. Receive a more authentic experience with this choice.
