We love Royal Sonesta. They have fantastic service and I love the pool and rooms. The heated pool is awesome. Its a great location, close to all the best places and Bourbon Street really doesn't bother us because we always get a room by the pool, which is interior. The staff is always super friendly across the board. We have stayed at this… Read more

We stayed at 1 King Bed, Accessible (Hearing, Interior Balcony) #4073. Room was super quiet, we were ready with earplugs but no need. We stayed at 1 King Bed, Accessible (Hearing, Interior Balcony) #4073. Room was super quiet, we were ready with earplugs but no need. The hotel is in the middle of the craziness Mardi Gras, the bar was kinda boring, but who wants to stay in the hotel if you walk outside for the free shows 🤣. Bed comfy, they don’t replace the coffee keurig pods, no water in the rooms(go to CVS in canal st for water and snacks), the balconies are all connected by floors and yes you can smoke there. TV(1..we never turned it on). Have fun, be safe, and be aware of your surroundings, it’s the same everywhere. The only thing I didn’t like it is that check out 11 am $75 for extra hour you stay if late check out. (They will hold your bags-that is a better option). Taxi is a mess in Mardi Gras, try walking toward the casino as it’s the easiest way for the taxis to get out. DO NOT get pod A, B for parade it’s su.. try the Hilton or any other hotels. Royal Sonesta see you next year!!!! For another crazy Mardi Gras. Read less

It’s Great. The room is clean. I have a reading lens in one eye. So I visualize things close and clear. So just a little blood stained into the shower wall grout. Probably a snot rocket. Who hasn’t done that. But as a former residence inn owner I see everything. We used gallons of hydrogen peroxide in our business. Most will not.

I'm pretty surprised/confused about the positive reviews, unless you have low standards. When my family and I arrived at the hotel, we were given two double beds instead of two queen beds. We immediately went to the front desk to notify them that we received the wrong room- they assured us many times that this was an issue from our booking company, Priceline. We then called the booking company, who told us they would conduct an investigation and to use the room in the meantime. There was constant back and forth (for three months now) of Priceline blaming the hotel and vice versa, yet I received the wrong room and no compensation because neither were willing to approve compensation for their mistake. Nevertheless, on arrival to our (wrong) room, the towels and sheets were dirty with brown stains, the mini-fridge in the room didn't work, and we had to go find housekeeping for toilet paper as there was none in the room. I added a picture- for reference I am 4'11" (and 7/8ths lol) and I am hanging off the bed Read less
