Location wise, the hotel is at the center of French Quarter, surrounded by tons of restaurants, bars, and shops. A perfect place for people watching too, there are always something going on nearby. Got to experience all kinds of local food and drinks in the neighborhood, which are all very accessible by walking. So it's really convenient. The hotel room we stayed in was huge, the bed was comfy, and I like how every staff was so friendly and treated customers with respect. They have a nice yard and bar, and we got to enjoy both in both day time and night. And despite its central location, the room was really quiet. We slept very well. Had a great time and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New Orleans. Read less

The weather was divine (it rained one day which in October wasn't bad) the rain didn't cool the temperature down by much either, the hotel is right in the heart of the French Quarter and is right on Bourbon Street. The hotel is worth every one of its 5 stars, the rooms are large and spacious, the music can be heard with the window closed but is better with them open. We didn't upgrade to a veranda but could have. The food there is not economy priced but with so many options in the French Quarter we only ate there once on our arrival and the food was delicious. If you go to New Orleans then visit the hotel while you're walking through the French District as the reception area is magnificent. Read less

All workers at royal were absolutely great! We originally reserved one bedroom, but upon arrival requested an upgrade and a separate room. Wish i could rememeber her name but she was very courteous and helpful in accomodating us last minue. there was no bourboun st. view but we did get one room viewing bienville st (do not recommend, the view of bourbon was very limited, youre right above of where the hotel parking lot entrance is) altough it was nice to open doors and allow for some breeze, most of what youre able to see is people walkin to bourbon street and your neighboors baclconies. We swithced rooms to be close to or secnd bedroom which was on thrid floor, and faced pool. It was nice to be abel to walk through your room staright into pool area without having to leave room. altough i did not experience bourbon st balcony view id suppose this is the next best room. i beleive she said it was interior view facing pool. there anoher interior which faces court yard which is also near pool. Hotel is conveniently located to a lot! youre basically at one end of bourboun street. i recommend. great hotel. Read less
