The Courtyard for the wedding was gorgeous with the many candles. The reception that followed was excellent with many food stations set-up. Food was superb with the small plate/dish selections. Bourbon St. is loud , we had a room along side street, and we still heard the noise well into the morning. It was a fantastic wedding/experience and Royal Sonesta shined! Read less

The bed was sagging and lumpy. The room was missing a vanity mirror ( not a big deal for some but I have poor eyesight) I contacted staff five times to try to get resolved. Was told I would get a call back. Was told it was on the wall. It was not. My eye sight is not that bad. Over 24 hours later and the evening before our departure one was… Read more

The Royal Sonesta has an exceptional staff and each time we return we feel "at home" and welcome. We prefer a Bourbon Street Balcony but beware it's noisy. There are interior rooms that are quiet. Most rooms aren't spacious but we are not in New Orleans to hang out in the room. There is a great jazz club, restaurants and bars in the facility.… Read more

First time in NOLA and this hotel did not disappoint. It’s right in the heart of all the action on Bourbon St, so if you’re like us and want some sleep ask for a room not facing Bourbon. Though our view was to the rear facing apartment buildings we didn’t hear the noise emulating from the all-night partying on Bourbon. Great staff, helpful and friendly front desk (especially River), also friendly concierge staff as well. Rooms very cozy, however, on drawback was ask for a room away from the elevators. The door to the rooms had a one inch gap at the bottom so the light and noise from people getting on and off the elevators was a bit much listening to all night long. And you can literally hear every word of people’s conversations while waiting for the elevator to arrive, workout room was large and well equipped. Ate breakfast every morning either at their adjacent restaurants. PJ’s coffee was much like a Starbucks or Panera- great food and coffee and very nice staff. Desire was also good - a sit down option. Food was pricy (about $50 for two egg dishes and coffees) and staff was a bit inattentive depending on who you get. Overall a good stay! Read less

The Hotel provided great service during the week that include food and conference setups for large groups. The staff were very polite and helpful at all times. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well. I forgot some toiletries and the hotel provided a kit at no charge.
