My wife and I chose The Virgin Hotel for three reasons: the location, quirky 'boutique' styling and great reviews... and we were not disappointed with any of them! We were lucky enough to get a suite with a balcony – perfect for enjoying sunrises/sunsets. The rooftop pool and bar area is a fantastic place to chill with a drink or snack after a day of exploring NOLA. Yes, it's not a huge pool but it's there to cool off and meet the other guests from around the world with a drink in your hand. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the bar is fab and every weekday evening offers free cocktails (5-7 pm I think!). There's a Rouse's supermarket 2 minutes down the road – handy for room snacks and drinks. Getting into the FQ is a safe 10/15 minute walk or there are Streetcar options nearby. Get a streetcar and explore the Garden District too. Finally, a big shout out to all of the staff we met. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful – with Ryan B and Tim being the MVPs! Thanks for making our 25th Wedding Anniversary feel so special, and we hope to return one day! Read less

I wanted to give the hotel a higher rating, but I did not want to go from average to very good. Some things you may want to know about this hotel. 1. The staff is very friendly. 2. The pool is very small. 3. The rooms are pet friendly so you may get a room where the rug has been chewed on by someone's pet! 4. My room had some black stuff I am… Read more

He was always such a delightful person to see first thing in the morning and was disappointed when he wasn’t working. Ryan at the front desk was an absolute gem. Very polite, kind, and knowledgeable. Loved getting to talk to him everyday. The valet team and the manager were soooooo sweet. I could have hung out outside with them all day. The security guard was very kind and helpful. The hospitality can’t be matched. The food was to die for. Get the green beans. Just do yourself the favour and get the damn beans and also the potato salad. The pool is super cutie with a beautiful view of the city at night. Our bartender was Owen. Very helpful. The slushie drink I wanted wasn’t being offered so he made me something from Scratch. Loved it. I have zero negative things to Say about this hotel and stay ( was there for a week). Rooms are funky and fun. Read less

Tim and Ryan were so helpful with loading and unloading our bags. We enjoyed how fun and friendly they were also! Rebecca helped us relax at the downstairs bar upon checking in, very friendly and an excellent mixologist. Joyce got us all squared away to check in early so that we could enjoy my very first NFL game. We would've never made it if it weren't for her and the amazing front desk staff! Britt was so funny and friendly up at the pool deck she made relaxing poolside the best experience before a long drive! Kaitlyn was all around the hotel greeting guests with a beautiful smile and loving on our dogs. Everyone at this location gets an 11/10 in our opinions! It was top notch from friendliness, pet accommodations, location, cleanliness, helpfulness, knowledge, and overall comfort. I've stayed in approximately 40 hotels in New Orleans alone and this is by FAR MY FAVORITE! We will be back, thank you! Read less
