Nothing is more important than visiting with my sons in a lovely location. My trip was just awesome. Thank you so much.. I had such a fun trip at your resort. We really loved the pool on the patio and the grill. The housekeeping staff was the best I have ever experienced.

My wife is in a wheelchair and the accessible room was good in most respects although the bed was initially too high for her - a basic mistake for an accessible room. However, as soon as we mentioned this to the Concierge, the bed was lowered to a more sensible height - a prompt reaction we came to understand was normal when any assistance was required. We would certainly recommend the Fairmont and will stay there again. Read less

Where to begin. I, my wife and our 2yr old daughter closed out our trip on Maui with an unforgettable 3 night stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani. Why did I initially look into the Fairmont when I had never stayed at one? All of the rooms are suites and with a napping toddler, it's great to be able to close the door and not have to worry about disturbing her sleep. After a bit more research, it checked all of our other boxes: toddler friendly, great food options for the whole family, and a terrific pool/beach. We loved that we didn't need to do the whole car seat dance for food or activities. Staying at a resort isn't cheap, so I had high expectations and this place blew them away. Even before I arrived, Dee the concierge, helped us find a kid friendly luau at the nearby marriot along with other great island activities. Once we arrived every staff member greeted us with a friendly aloha and a smile which put our normally shy toddler at ease. Everyone was super helpful, big shout-out to Elisa for directing us to and setting us up with a toddler friendly restaurant in Ko as we arrived. Their keiki menu (free for young kids) was massive which was great for our picky toddler. Ko definitely earns all the awards it has with its exceptional food and service. Our room was amazing and thanks to Hapa, our bellhop, for a friendly room tour to show us where everything we'd care to know was so we didn't have to search ourselves. Bathroom is huge with a separate tub and his and her sinks which was a nice touch. It's a comfortable size for families, but the real game changer is the sunset ocean view. Absolutely stunning! The staff got word of us celebrating that our daughter just turned 2 and were extremely thoughtful in delivering a welcome gift with a mermaid inner tube, water bottle and Maui hat. She was thrilled. Amenities and activities are outstanding and they are also respectful of Hawaii's rich culture. At 9am, they have a koi feeding which my daughter loved participating in. The pond is right next to the Kea Lani restaurant which is temporarily using Nick's space during some renovations. Breakfast here really hit the spot, both a la carte and buffet (ate here twice). Young kids get a free keiki buffet which is amazing. Their version of chicken and waffles is delicious and the buffet omelets are superb. The central pool is huge so there's plenty of room to find an open chair. Staff provides plenty of fresh towels and complimentary reef-safe sunscreen. Toddler loved the kid pool and watching older kids go down the slide. I went down myself a few times and it's water park quality, super fun. Swim up bar/restaurant is super convenient. Checked out the walkup polo beach the following day and it's got everything: lucious sand, complimentary chairs/umbrella, snorkeling and a beach break with smaller waves perfect for body/boogie boarding. After getting some reading in, I caught a few waves bodyboarding and watched as three turtles swam amongst the waders along the beach each less than 10yds from me, super cool! Also saw families enjoying the scuba lessons in the pool and beach. Wish I had more time to snorkel which the friendly attendant said is all near the beach to the right. Next time. The hotel market has refreshing acai bowls, pizza and lapperts ice cream. It's great not needing to go to a grocery store for essentials and the prices are respectable for a resort. Due to bad luck with naps, we needed a quick kid meal and went to the reliable Ko for some takeout. Even though we didn't order any adult food/beverages, Kas, the super friendly resident bartender, said keiki eat free and comped our kid's pasta. Even added some fruit and veggies. Once again proof that the Fairmont goes above and beyond and epitomizes family resort. The Fairmont is a beautiful resort staffed with an exceptional, well trained Kea Lani team that does the little things to welcome you and make your stay absolutely enjoyable. Kudos to Director of Ops Ian Taylor and GM Michael Pye for giving me a terrific introduction to what Fairmont hospitality stands for. 3 nights wasn't near enough and can't wait to return the next time we're on Maui. Had four nights here and was very pleasant. Room sizes good for what you pay. Friendly and helpful staff and excellent pool facilities. In house Hire car service (avis) was reasonably priced. Cafe and restaurant prices pretty steep so ate outside the hotel at nearby places. Hotel offered a free shuttle in Wailea which was handy. Would come back.
