A wonderful resort hotel in the most beautiful part of Maui. The staff is first class and the premises couldn’t be better. Excellent restaurants and world class spa are all at your finger tips! Access to the beach and a beautiful walkway along the coast.

We had stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani in 2016 and 2018 and loved the experience. The staff there is so warm and welcoming and the property was so peaceful. We had read the hotel was under construction so we took a break and then finally returned last week to the newly renovated hotel. First off, the rooms: wow! On our previous stays we loved the space, but felt the room could have been updated. Well the updates they made are phenomenal! The rooms are 5 star! Housekeeping does a fantastic job and is so friendly! We truly loved the new lux feel of the lobby and enjoyed the new lobby bar (bartender Leslie took great care of us!). Ko looked the same but dinner here was far better than I remembered and we loved our server Misty. Where the hotel was lacking was mainly the pools and breakfast buffet. Pool service was a little slow but never terrible, they mostly very friendly. Pool furniture on the adult deck was in need of replacement. The only real disappointment was purchased the breakfast included package and ultimately really wished we hadn’t. While it did look like the space had been renovated, and the offerings were much better than I recalled they were so terribly short staffed. EVERY SINGLE visit we were well into our meal before we could get coffee and water from a server. Once a manager brought us water and we never saw our server until it was time for them to drop the tab. Gratuity was included so I suspect maybe they chose to neglect us because they were inundated by other tables?? Our servers each day looked like they were so extremely overwhelmed. We noticed we weren’t the only tables begging for water and coffee. I know there’s a labor shortage but when you’re spending $1200+ on a room you expect the service to match that price. The regular price buffet is $55 and I can assure you if I hadn’t prepaid we would have not returned. We walked over to the neighboring Four Seasons for our last breakfast because we were tired of starting off our day feeling frustrated. Fairmont, please do better! Read less

The suite was excellent - very spacious, modern, clean, and large. Housekeeping was great. Nick’s and Ko were outstanding, great food and staff. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. The auto valet guys were all standouts. Concierge was hit-or-miss. The pools were nice but quite crowded, service was slow but we had the impression they were a bit understaffed. There were a LOT of kids, everywhere. The whole resort was quite noisy - there seemed to be a constant din over and above the more pleasant surf noise. Bottom line - it’s a beautiful, high-quality place. Staff was welcoming and competent. But we never felt settled-in, and never really relaxed. Granted, that’s as much on us as on the property, but it was our reality on this visit. Our baseline for comparison is the 4S Hualalai, which is much more peaceful (and, admittedly, expensive). The food was MUCH better at the Fairmont, however. Read less

Image of the Tripadvisor rating This was a combination business and personal trip. Couldn’t have been better. All rooms are suites and are gorgeous.

This was a combo Presidents Club and personal trip. It is a gorgeous property with everything you could ask for. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Grounds, pools, and beach are beautiful. Service is great. Restaurants are terrific. Location is divine. We had a car for a few days but you don’t necessarily need one. We would go back in a minute!
