Excellent resort. Easy access to great food, attractions and main roads. Staff was helpful, friendly and grateful. The Liliko cheesecake here is incredible. Stay while whales are migrating to thoroughly enjoy from your deck every day.

I was responsible for finding and booking a trip for a 60th birthday party for 8 couples. After going through many reviews I had narrowed it between the Hyatt Regency and the Westin down the beach. I ultimately chose the Hyatt Regency even though I hold high status with Marriott properties. It came down to recently renovated rooms at the Hyatt as the rates were very similar. About a week before traveling to Hawaii, I was contacted by Eva, Regency club manager to welcome me to Hawaii and told me to reach out if I needed anything. I had replied back that we were celebrating a birthday and if there was something we could do for the birthday boy that would be fabulous. We arrived for check in to find birthday room had been upgraded to oceanfront (we booked ocean view) and inside room was an awesome looking towel cake and card from the hotel. All 8 couples enjoyed the size and cleanliness of their rooms. The resort is absolutely beautiful with the grounds and pools kept immaculate. Very much enjoyed breakfast at Swan Court every morning watching the swans and other water fowl swimming in the beautiful pond. We spent a lot of time at Ūmalu pool bar and service was great Location of resort is great with only a 15-20 minute walk to Whalers Village and about a 10 minute drive to Lahaina. Resort has a few SUV’s that will shuttle you to Lahaina if they are available, that came in very handy during our stay. Just take care of your driver. Upon checkout I had the most amazing customer service agent, Jeff K (sorry I can’t remember spelling, but it was a Hawaiian name). He helped me go over all the invoices and made adjustments when I found a couple of errors on the included breakfast. He did not rush me off and was quick, kind and efficient. He is an incredible asset to Hyatt and the best agent I have ever worked with, and I travel quite frequently. Thank you Hyatt for a great stay and hiring great employees. I will be back. It also took the pool waiter 45 minutes to an hour to bring our drinks back. Read less

Food Service is a weak spot. Food is good. Just not the Luau food. Many in our party had stomach issues that night. Bars were under staffed but did a pretty good job. Resort is beautiful and very well kept.
