It is more convenient to the airport and a few other places that we wanted to go to. The hotel is very relaxing. My family loved the free bikes. My two sons loved that they can walk to the stores to pick up food - very convenient location. The pool was nice - a little small. The beach is right across the street. Our standard room was nice and spacious enough for a family of four. Beds were comfy. They have a huge gym. The only negative is that the gym is really humid! The hotel should put in a dehumidifier up there or turn on the air. Working out in there is unbearable due to the stickiness. I also like how the hotel is more simple and not overly crowded or super busy like some of the Kaanapali or Wailea hotels that we have stayed in, in the past. We would totally stay at the Maui Coast Hotel again! Read less

I love this place. It’s reasonably priced and they have a wonderful vibe there; well Maui has a wonderful vibe everywhere but they have music at night and the locals visit the restaurant there. Good stories about the island and where to go. Stayed here twice so I like it.

Our room was just ok, the porch/lanai was small and blah. The hotel is across the street from the beach and you can't see the beach from any of the rooms. The pool restaurant food is gross. Given that the hotel was almost $500 for the night, I think it's wildly overpriced. Also, there is no free coffee in the lobby in the morning. $500 a night and no coffee? What? Read less
