We were celebrating my husband’s 50th birthday & the hotel went all out. The bed was decorated with flowers & happy birthday when we arrived. We were sent cake, chocolate covered strawberries & champagne that same night. The second night they had a monogrammed pillow case with my husband’s name saying happy birthday on the bed. He was made to feel so special !! The room was a perfect location. It was quiet. The air conditioning kept the room nice & cool. We checked out on Saturday, 1/18. Our flight didn’t leave until 9 pm and since we are lifetime titanium members we were given a late check out of 3:00 PM. We rented a daybed locates out in front of the adult pool everyday. This was perfect — kept us from having to race out in the mornings to reserve a pool chair ! Read less

I only have one plea to make: Please please stop the plastic use. This is not just for the Wailea Beach Resort but for all hotels we stayed at. I only have one plea to make: Please please stop the plastic use. This is not just for the Wailea Beach Resort but for all hotels we stayed at. The plastic use is out of control and I don't understand how that and living on an island goes together. We brought our 5 year old and we hardly sat down when someone came already with a plastic cup, lid and straw in hand. Being served a $20 cocktail at the pool in a plastic cup is not star resort level for me. Ordering food at the pools is all plastic, including silver ware that is actually silver plastic. By 2030 the amount of plastic in the ocean will have surpassed the fish in the ocean. This is common knowledge by now. Hawaii lives from the ocean tourism. I don't understand why not everyone there is making an urgent effort. I go whale watching and wonder if the whales we see have plastic inside them. Chances are they do. Weilea should lead the way to change. I can not choose as your customer, I am tied to what your choices are. I traveled all around the world and been to many resorts. It can be done. Glass is sturdy and can be used at pools without being broken. Hard plastic washable is another way or compostables. Read less

We enjoyed our days by the serenity pool where we were able to read, relax and nap while being able to look at the ocean and the beautiful islands. The location and the grounds that the Marriott is on is absolutely beautiful. By far the best hotel in Wailea as we walked the path along the water during our stay and checked out all the other hotels. We didn’t eat much at the hotel except for the daily happy hour at the Kapa bar. This was a pretty good deal and a nice way to break up the day. We did notice that they other bars did not offer up this happy hour so just make your way to Kapa! The overall location of the hotel is pretty good. 35 mins or so from the airport which was a $40 Uber. We also used the hotel car service to go Wailea and used Uber to get to Kihei. It was also very easy to walk to the other hotels in the area where we did for dinner. There is a mall also within walking distance of the hotel where there is a ABC store and a market where we would purchase lunch for a fraction of the price of the hotel. Overall. We loved this hotel and can’t wait to come back ! Read less
