Wailea Beach Resort - Marriott Maui

Maui, Hawaii

The hotel

This recently renovated hotel sits directly on a wide stretch of beach in the quiet, pretty resort of Wailea and is ideal for both families and couples. Kids will get a kick out of their own pool with its two water slides, while adults can kick back and sunbathe by their own pool, or relax in the hot tub. There's a Mandara Spa with a range of pampering treatments, or you can explore the surrounding countryside on foot along several hiking and nature trails. Enjoy a new signature restaurant for all-day dining, including a wonderful breakfast buffet and an informal poolside restaurant featuring nightly Hawaiian entertainment. The hotel is within easy walking distance of The Shops at Wailea - an upscale shopping mall. There are three golf courses nearby and countless activities like horse riding, scuba-diving and sailing, which means you'll never be short of things to do.

We spent one of our days at the pool in a cabana which was a delightful treat. We also attended the hotels Luau. All I can say is wow! The food is served buffet style and the show is provided by Tu Au Moana. It is set up on a grassy area with the Pacific Ocean and sunset in the background. If you are looking for a luau to go to - pick this one! Totally worth it Read less

We visited during September and becuase of the location next to the Wailea Shops Marriot Wailea was the best choice for Us. The lobby area I would say is the best part of the hotel , Next to the Adult Pool and Water Park. Beautiful Open Space , with a small pond and waterfool and Aloha Letters to get a nice photo on. The valet parking guys and super efficient and welcoming, they are in charge of the shuttle service wich is very convenient, use it multiple times. The check in process is stand up , make a line and recive an awesome Guava Juice, But after a long flight these process should be more confortable for the guest. The room is good size, have a balcony and good amenities, mini fridge and 2 water bottles daily. You can go to ABC Store and get some food and put it on the fridge. We use the hotel Gift Shop , very very good , and the Starbucks next to it in the morning. The hotel have kids and Teens Club with video games, have a good time there. Again is low season , during summer , those places must be crazy crowded. The water slides in the pool are Awesomee , good service, chairs and a very nice pool for the kids. The adult pool have the best view , but was very difficult to get a chair , even al fisrt time in the morning. Get our Free Mahi Tai at the pool restaurant and the waitress was super nice. And finally Humble Kitchen Restaurant, very busy, but the Food was really Excellent! Dont miss the pineapple cake , Best dessert in all the trip. I enjoy my stay at the Marriot Wailea , But I think 650 dollars a night ´plus tax is not proportional for what you could get somewhere else. Read less

We come every year. This was our 34th anniversary. I gotta be honest, the only reason we come back year after year is Terri - at the adult infinity pool. The rooms are wonderful. The restaurants are great, but Teri is truly a unique character who changes the trajectory of a vacation. We’ll be back next year, because if Terri at the pool. Steve… Read more

I especially appreciate the nespresso machines. Our only complaint is that our room was incredibly loud. I have no idea what the people above us were doing, our only guess is they were rearranging the furniture. We were woken up at 6 most days by the loud noises, which is not what we wanted for our honeymoon. I reported this to the front desk but no action was taken. I would suggest others request a room on the top floor to avoid this problem. Read less

The spirit of Aloha starts the moment you enter the lobby. We were greeted by Dheeann, aka D, she was incredible, she made sure we were well taken care of and given keys to the arrival/departure lounge (it is wonderful.) as our room would not be ready for a bit. We were greeted by Dheeann, aka D, she was incredible, she made sure we were well taken care of and given keys to the arrival/departure lounge (it is wonderful.) as our room would not be ready for a bit. D explained all of the amenities of the resort and is the most warm and welcoming Front desk person. Later, Amy gave us the keys to our room and was also an exceptional employee. We have been to Maui over 20 times and have stayed at many properties but I believe our search has ended as this is the Resort to stay at. Our room was beautiful, the views amazing, the resort so large yet feels so intimate. The pools were beautiful, food was yummy, service very very good. We can’t wait for our return. Read less
