First off-every hotel is very pricey and very annoying, they all seem to charge extra for "Resort Fee". That being said, a beautiful hotel, excellent (very excellent-Jennifer in particular) service and staff and besides a remarkable view, great pools and hot tubs. Great kids pool area, and the bar and food service was excellent. Worth the visit!

the grounds, the views are amazing...but the prices are overblown. let's be honest about it. I stayed at the hotel for the conference, and will go to the conference next year again but will look for more reasonable accomodations

We stayed only one night at this property and wished we had stayed the whole week! The hotel property is simply gorgeous, manicured gardens, polished pools and decks. The room was a dream, oceanfront on the main level with access to the garden, chaises and chairs with a table outside on the terrace. The room was very comfortable for a family of 4 with a great size bath, closet, queen beds! (no full size beds like most hotels) The adventure pool for my kids was a hit, they loved every single minute. Our only negative comment, is the beach access, you have to walk to the next property and ask for an umbrella and chairs, the beach is very small, very tight, they set up the umbrellas and chairs and sit you like sardines. Another thing we loved was the welcome with lei necklaces, an amazing guava & passion fruit juice and fresh wet towels. We also attended the Luau and it is excellent, the food and the show was fantastic, I highly recommended, the location is perfect for a cool night and children love the music and the activities. We will certainly love to go back to the Marriott in Wailea Beach! Read less

He asked us for room number and name while chit-chatting with other white guests. Later, when we went to front desk to file a complaint, he showed up and said we don't look like typical customers. This made our stay very uncomfortable and I expressed my desire to talk to general manager onsite to discuss how they should address this issue to avoid future occurrences, but the general manager never reached out. Will never stay this hotel anymore. Read less

This was our first visit to the Wailea Beach Club BU Marriott in Maui. After arriving in the late evening our first night was basically fine and we had a nice room with a partial ocean view from the lanai. The next day after a full day of being outside and whale watching, we returned to our room to take showers to find that our shower drain was clogged. We called maintenance but no one arrived after about 45 minutes, and then we noticed water dripping heavily from the light above the toilet. This quickly became a safety issue and went to the front desk to get another room. They moved us to another room however this one was on the ground floor facing the main driveway entrance to the hotel, hidden behind hedges. There was no view, no breeze, and not really what we paid for. Early the next morning we requested a new room and they accommodated our request very graciously. The only problem was the new room did not have any hot water. They did send maintenance up fairly quickly only to find that someone had turned off the hot water to that part of the hotel and they quickly fixed the problem. So after two nights we had been in three rooms. The remaining two nights went very well and we truly enjoyed being at this resort. While the resort is fairly large it did not feel crowded. They have several different pool areas, with one reserved for adults over 18 years old, which was very quite. The service was great, staff very friendly, and everything being very clean and welcoming. The only other complaint we had was that the front desk seems very understaffed. There is a high volume of people checking in and out of this hotel and the most staff I saw was three manning the front desk. There were frequently lines of 3-4 couples/families at the front desk which means getting questions answered or service took a long time (10-15 minutes). The room issues we had notwithstanding, which I put into the category of stuff happens sometimes, we really enjoyed our time at this resort and we agreed that we would like to return on our next visit to Maui.
