This was our 2nd stay at The Kapalua Villas over the last 2 years. The manager Ramill is top notch. He is very assertive and knowledgable about the area and he is very hands on. Our check in was very quick and we felt very welcomed after our long day of traveling. We booked through Costco travel and our room was in the P building it was a 2 bed gold golf view villa. It was beautiful it had everything we needed to cook some meals during our stay. The concierge is in the check in area with a wall that has a selection of activities. While we were there it was Jen and Shannon and both ladies were so helpful with all our needs. The property is beautiful!! views are endless its just so relaxing and you feel like you are some where very special. Thank you Ramill for a wonderful stay!! Read less

We recently syayed for a week in the Kapalua Bay Villas. We had a one BR 2 BA unit that was pleasantly decorated with a wonderful view of the ocean. It was ocean view not ocean front there is a distinct difference. We have done both and prefer the ocean front as it has easy access to the Kapalua trail which you can take to the beach, and it has nicer pools to use. There were a few problems with the condo. The ice maker would not dispense ice, the sliding glass doors were frequently off the track, and the air conditioning unit/ swamp cooler was so noisy that we had to turn it off to sit on the lanai. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was on the second floor which offered a spectacular view of the sunrise and so private that you could leave the blinds open and awaken to that view. Kapalua offers a more quiet experience than Kaanapali being less touristy and better access to Merriman’s which is a wonderful restaurant on the beach with spectacular views. It’s definitely where we go to stay on Maui. The Villas are a great place to stay. Read less

Villa set in amongst a whole bunch of other identical villa's close to the beach. Great views. Definitely, have to have a car to get around and see this amazing island. Furniture is a little dated and AC units are a little loud. Otherwise a pleasant stay in Maui in Kapalua Villas.

We too stayed in unit 29G4 recently and, although the view of the grounds and ocean is stunning from inside the place, it really could use some freshening up. The carpet in the living room was stained; there were visible water stains on the wall just below the air conditioner register in the dining room. The unit smelled musty and moldy the night we checked in and we had to air it out the following morning to get better air in there. The walls and floor moldings could really use a fresh paint job. The furniture in the living room was very dated and faded. The first morning there we were held up by an exterminator that went around the unit to keep the bugs out. The kitchen was very nice and updated, but they could do a better job of leaving multiple-night guests with a little more than a day's rations of morning coffee. I completed a survey sent by the property managers and they did respond quickly to my concerns with a promise to review their housecleaning procedures going forward. However, having read the review of a guest from last Thanksgiving, I am afraid that the response was little more than a whitewash. It is a beautiful place, but I expected better and cleaner conditions in the quality of the accommodations. Read less
