We only stayed here once, for 3 days.
The rooms are clean and well kept.
The lobby is a little on the small size.
The public library with its spectacular architecture is directly across the street from the front door.
We had no difficulties or bad experiences in or connected with the hotel.

Once you get passed the urine and people selling drugs in the hotel I guess the Manager s way to silence clients is to have them escorted off the property for bringing issues to them. Nothing is secure not even your own room.

We rarely write reviews, but our experience here was so bad that we decided to write one. Long story short, the front desk staff, Aletta, was rude, unprofessional, and condescending. The check-in process was difficult and coupled with having to deal with the front desk staff, it was very unpleasant. It was worse than any other hotel experience we’ve ever had.
We arrived at the front of the hotel and immediately we weren’t sure where to park. We circled around a couple of times to ensure we were at the right location, and ended up parking at the lot right behind the entrance. After entering the hotel to check-in, we were told that we were not allowed check-in. We had to do this online and that it was mandatory. This was never communicated to us by the hotel or their system that manages the online check-in.
We asked about the check-in process, what to do about the room cards, and what to do about parking. During this time, Aletta was giving us an attitude and refused to do anything until we completed the online check-in. Instead of being kind and walking us through the process, she was very condescending, argumentative, and fussy the entire time.
We completed the online check-in and then asked about parking only to learn we parked in the wrong lot. We then suggested that for future customers, you may want to put something outside with more instructions, especially in the times that we are in right now. She then gave us more attitude and pointed to something outside that served no purpose.
Finally, we asked for a phone number to contact management and she couldn’t even provide that. While she was looking around for business cards, she was making a fuss and ultimately was not able to find one. She told us to contact the reservations number on the back of our room cards. We also had to ask multiple times for her to write her name down as well. Finally, she did write her name albeit it was unwillingly and again with an attitude.
Overall, Aletta made this a bad experience. She was rude, unprofessional, and condescending. If you decide to stay here, please be careful and be aware.

There is a little bar that was nice as well and not over priced. I took advantage of the lounge area upstairs and got some things done. It was really quiet and overall I loved this hotel. It’s centrally located to a lot of different places. I was able to walk to the store, to pikes market and a variety of other things. I highly recommend good shoes if you’re going to do a lot of walking in this city. The rates for this hotel were extremely reasonable and overall I couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

If your holiday is going ahead as planned, you can continue to pay for your holiday in Manage my booking, even if travelling in less than 12 weeks. If you’re unsure, you can delay any additional payments by choosing a new time to travel by requesting a call back in Manage My booking for one of our team to look at options. If your holiday is more than 6 months away, you may wish to set up a Direct Debit to spread the cost. This can be arranged whilst rebooking or afterwards in Manage my booking.
We understand that you may wish to change your holiday plans and we appreciate the need for flexibility.

If we haven’t notified you of any changes, your holiday will be going ahead as planned but if you prefer to move your holiday to a later time we can help. You can call our team on 0344 472 9499 who can look at options for you.
Payments are being prioritised based on when the request was made, working in order from March 2020 onwards. We will always try to process refunds at the earliest opportunity, for requests before August our maximum timeframe is 120 days. As we are steadily reducing the maximum processing time for each new request, for refund requests made in August, we expect the maximum processing time to be 80 days, from the date the refund is requested. For those requesting a refund in September, we expect it to be processed within a maximum of 60 days, and then reduce to 30 days for refunds requested in October, before returning to normal levels.
To finalise the amendment, one of our customer advisors will phone you. We need to work through amend requests in departure date order so we can prioritise those with the most imminent travel plans, so you may have a longer wait than usual until we’re able to ring you back. We will help everyone that wants to move their holiday.
