The Arctic Club Seattle - a Double Tree by Hilton Hotel

Seattle, Seattle & Washington State

The hotel

Taking you back to the glory days that followed the Klondike gold rush, The Arctic Club Seattle’s lobby sets the tone at this DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. The refined club feel continues as you play pool in the cosy wood-panelled Polar Bar and dine on North American favourites in the intimate booths of JUNO. More contemporary in style, the fitness room has people-watching views over the sidewalk, while your guestroom offers Seattle’s modern-day ‘gold’ — Starbucks coffee. The location unites historic and contemporary Seattle too — putting you within walking distance of Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square, and steps from the light railway network. As soon as you're welcomed with a warm chocolate chip cookie, you'll know you're in good hands.

View from Room 420 was HVAC equipment covered in pigeon feces. The next night, we were switched to room with view of deserted construction site. This part of town is far from anything worth seeing, and the entrance is accessible only by a steep staircase on a steeper sidewalk. The lobby is beautiful, but they rent it to private parties. We were kicked out both evenings we stayed there because of wedding receptions. Never stay here! Never! Read less

The staff was very helpful. I’m fairly new to Seattle and had quite a few questions that they were happy to answer. They also supplied plenty of food recommendations and local brews and liquors to try out. I also didn’t have a car so whenever I was waiting for my Uber drivers they were ok with just visiting during my wait.

Really old building and furniture. Unable to stay in this hotel room more than 1 hour. Really smelly. Not sure how this hotel operates under the DoubleTree name. Very unpleasant and uncomfortable experience.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and they have done a great job of maintaining the historic character of the location. Your car is parked 4 blocks away by valet. Expensive!
Image of the Tripadvisor rating No workable disabled access

No workable access for checking in if you can’t use stairs. Manager not interested in correcting problem. I am a scooter user and could not check in alone at night. Complaints to staff and manager were discounted.
