This is one of the nicest boutique hotels where I have stayed anywhere in the world. The location close to Main Street is ideal. The rooms are arranged around a nice central courtyard and pool. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast menu has limited options but they are all deliciously prepared. The staff is extremely attentive and eager to… Read more

Excellent location at the end of the Main Street in Franschhoek, and an easy walk along the main retail and dining strip. The hotel is small, boutique, clean, fresh, well appointed and very quiet during the day. Big rooms, large bed with linen changed daily! Rooms are wired with modern inclusions such as USB ports each side of the bed, complimentary wifi is ok but does drop out often, underfloor heating and complimentary red and white wine. Our room had a large bathroom which was wheelchair accessible, having rails and overly large shower stall and so much space made it appear less premium and certainly not a cosy feel. Strictly functional. (needs better lighting over the vanity mirrors). Lovely garden surrounds and many different zones provides privacy. Our room number 21 was located adjacent a services courtyard for air con and hot water systems which was accessed by staff at early hours of the morning-I think the door must jam due to the noise opening and slamming it closed. Two restaurants on site offering both indoor and outdoor seating-Protege where breakfast is served. The breakfast offer is small given the limited number of rooms and guests. Menu is ok, although a little strange with trout in several dishes but you can order over and above the menu. There is also a fine dining restaurant-La Petite Colombe, which is quite exclusive and indeed fine dining, which can be awkward if travelling safari style for 5 weeks and not carting your fine dining clothes around! We found a large number of casual dining options in the Main Street with excellent meals at really good prices. Le Quartier Francais is just one of several properties the Leeu Group has in the area and a courtesy shuttle is available for guest transfers, especially to use facilities such as the spa and gym. All the staff we met and had interaction with were lovely and helpful. Read less

Spectacular location, wonderful rooms (we had rooms 1 and 3) beautiful beds, lovely large bathrooms and good size. Hotel is small and boutique- absolutely stunning. Make sure you eat at the restaurant for dinner - make the effort, dress up, this is fine dining so leave your safari clothes in the room. Nice pool too, but small. Hotel restaurant for… Read more

Fantastic location in central Franschhoek but the rooms are conveniently located away from the restaurant and busy main road. Pool, gym, restaurants facilities, a superb breakfast and some interesting little complimentary wines in the room.

My wife and I were in Franschhoek for vacation. A friend of mine recommended Le Quartier Francais and it was a great recommendation. Quaint rooms...my wife loved the working fireplace in the room. And check out the restaurant La Petite Colombe on property...awesome!
