Not quite the ambiance we had expected but Omayra our server and the excellent food more than made up for the lack of atmosphere and it was still during Covid-19 so maybe that played a part in this. We will definitely be back sometime soon

We stayed at this resort for two days mid-week at the end of April, and we really hit the jackpot. The weather was great and the resort wasn't crowded, so we had a very enjoyable stay at a resort we highly recommend. We would gladly return here for a future vacation either with family or just the two of us again. What we really liked: 1. Great pool area - there's something here for everyone - a large family pool with zero entry, a really nice lazy river, a wave pool for the kids and an adult pool. It was just my wife and I on the trip, and we made full use of the adult pool - it was a really nice touch considering that many Orlando area resorts don't have a pool specifically for adults. 2. A short par 3 golf course and mini-golf within a short walk of the pool areas. We made good use of these also. 3. Two championship 18 hole golf courses (Greg Norman designs) within walking distance. That makes this resort a perfect place for those who want to go on a golf vacation and relax by the pool afterward. 4. Pool-side bar service. There was at least one waiter who was continually taking orders at both the family and adult pools. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. 5. A nice mall area within walking distance of the hotel (less than half a mile away) - many eateries here, along with a Publix, liquor store, Walgreens and a couple of convenience stores. A few minor things we weren't quite so crazy about: 1. Food choices on-site are still somewhat limited. In fairness though they (along with everyone else) are still in Covid recovery mode so we expect that everything will be fully open again within a short time as tourism picks back up. As of the end of April, they had one restaurant open for breakfast & lunch, and a different one open for dinner. The poolside bar was open for drinks and food. 2. We were a bit disappointed in the hotel store. There was a small deli with a coffee bar and a few food items, and separate, small gift stores. We've been to other resorts in the past that had larger general stores that sold essential grocery type items and an assortment of take-out food items - would have liked to have seen that here. 4. They charge a resort fee and parking fee. We decided to Uber to the resort, and that was a good choice given that we really didn't need to drive any where. Their drinks are also very expensive, as seems to be the case of most of the nice Orlando area resorts. A couple of additional notes - 1. We got the most basic room available, which was fine for us because we were by the pool almost the entire time. Be aware though that the basic rooms are no frills - a bedroom and very basic bathroom with a tub/shower and no balcony. They do have nicer rooms available in the hotel, but you have to pay more for them. 2. This is a very big hotel with at least 14 floors and it wasn't particularly crowded while we were there. If the hotel had been booked to capacity though (like it might be during busier tourist times), it probably would have been more crowded than we would have liked. Read less

This is a beautiful place to stay if you can overlook the messiness of the grounds. Our room was clean and had a wonderful view of the swimming pool area and golf course. We dined at two of the restaurants and were very satisfied with the food and service quality. Two of our servers were Elias and Teresa. They were extremely friendly and accomodating. They couldn't have made our stay more enjoyable. We experienced an initial problem with our bathroom on the first night we stayed and no one at the hotel desk answered the phone or acknowledged that there was a problem until the following morning. While at breakfast that morning, Elias (our server) , asked us how our stay was going. We explained to him that we weren't very satisfied because of the inability to flush the toilet in our room and the fact that no one had answered our calls to address the issue. He told us not to worry that he would take care of it and he did. By that afternoon the problem was taken care of. While the grounds appear to be in need of a cleaning and to be maintained better, the pools and golf course were wonderful! Read less

Norland, the manager, at David’s club came to our table and greeted us and made sure we are taken care of! They gave us a complimentary dessert and rose champagne! So nice! The front desk hooked us up with a complimentary champagne and box of truffles and brought it to our room while we were at dinner! Major Plus! Also, the bartender at the bar lobby had a great attitude and made us feel very welcomed! We ate at crocs by the pool and the server, Sarah, was awesome! They were slammed but she made sure we were taken care of! So far everyone we dealt with has been A++! Thank you Omni! Read less
