The buffet is very good (we dislike buffet normally) and the Japanse restaurant is top notch. The steakhouse was not that good... We were positively surprised wine & champagne prices are pretty fair. I will leave our full opinion about hotel a bit later, but I’d like to warn all parents about the swimming pool. Please take care to swim there and keep your children from it. Today we spent 1 hour in pool, I left T-shirt near poor bar, and it was burnt with chlorine and now even has holes in it. Hotel didn’t still give any comments about that...

Such a great experience. Lovely hotel staff, amazing food, great beaches and just perfect rooms. The spa is great too and the treatments are very well done. If you fancy being active you have the choice of three different gyms, tennis courts or plenty of watersports offers. We will definitely come back again.

The buffet is expensive but is a real treat - you will over eat! Other restaurants are excellent. The sea is unbelievably warm. The bay is protected by a reef so also very shallow - I’d say no more than 4 ft deep in the sea. You might want some shoes to walk in the sea as it is quite stoney and there were some sea urchins in the sea further along the beach. The transfer by taxi from the airport was an hour. Should have explored the island but was totally relaxed by the sea for our entire five day stay. This was our second time at a One & Only, the first being at Dubai at the Royal Mirage Residence. St Gerain was larger than I was expecting and more children but still a very enjoyable luxurious treat (sorry but the young children stage of life is now passed!). Would like to go back with the family. There are lots of good activities, if I could only get off that sun lounger! Read less
