My sister and I spent a week at the Kauai Beach Resort, it was beautiful and we had a great time! The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the rooms comfortable. I was a bit disappointed because we could not swim at the beach at the resort due to rough surf and coral and rocks at the edge of the sand. However, there are gorgeous beaches about 15 minutes away and the pools at the resort are awesome! I loved the chickens, and got used to the crowing. I was in Hawaii, no time to sleep in, gotta get to the beach early! 😁 The reception by the pool was nice and I enjoyed the Mai Tai, Hula dancing and Hawaiian music. Meeting the dancers was a special treat. The landscaping at the resort is well done. So many beautiful plants and flowers! The food at the resort was very good but a bit pricey. However, the prices WERE comparable to the other nice restaurants in town. We had to check out early and our flight out didn’t leave until almost midnight, but the resort stored our luggage so we could hit the beach for the afternoon and allowed us to change in the conference center restrooms before our flight home. I highly recommend this resort and its Hawaiian hospitality! Read less

We had a great 6-night visit and will plan to return here! Our room was fine - reasonable size, clean, small fridge, coffee maker, comfortable king size bed, small outside seating area (we had a ground floor, pool facing room). We had two breakfasts and two meals in the restaurant during our stay, which were all good. The prime rib and seafood buffet on Saturday evening was great but pricy. On check-in, we were given several vouchers for $5 off the full breakfast buffet, bringing that down to $20 which was reasonable. The pools were fine, though one of the hot tubs wasn't working properly, so the other was often full or crowded. The beach was nice though you can't swim there because of rocks, but it was nice to see the sunrise from and to walk along. The hotel is less than 3 miles from Lihue airport, so very convenient and we had no bother with aircraft noise. There is an Expedia Local Expert office on-site, in case you didn't book excursions beforehand. Hotel staff that we dealt with were all friendly and helpful. Everything that we used or experienced at the hotel was great, and I would recommend it. Oh, driving warning - on weekday mornings the main road into Lihue is coned so that there are TWO lanes of traffic heading into the town - don't be fooled by the road markings indicating a "waiting lane" to join the town-bound traffic (coming out of the hotel entrance) if there are orange cones out! This was a perfect place to stay. Clean rooms. Four wonderful pools. Three delicious restaurants. We traveled around the entire island and this was the perfect starting spot. The grounds are just beautiful and the staff and front desk were so kind and helpful too.
