Ayodya Resort

Nusa Dua, Bali

The hotel

Your very own Balinese water palace, the exquisite Ayodya Resort Bali sits in 11.5 hectares of glorious gardens, filled with temple-style buildings and reflective lakes, which wind around its swimming pools before flowing down to a beach that’s often scattered with colourful beanbags and fringed Balinese parasols. The interiors are as authentic as the architecture, featuring opulent fabrics, dark woods, and ornamental fretwork. The entertainment continues the theme, with soothing spa treatments competing with weekly dinner shows at the resort’s Balinese Theatre, where mythical and magical dance performances are accompanied by the Gamelan orchestra’s music – and by Indonesian and international buffets (for other meals you have everything from 24-hour international dining to fine Italian, Japanese, and barbecue options). Even little guests get local experiences, with turtle releases and fish feeding in between fun at Camp Ananda and swims in their own children’s pool.

To add to my husband’s post: Nice resort with lovely staff and well looked after gardens. However, the tiny pool in the club members only section was not well maintained, the wooden floor boards need urgent repair and if you’re wanting a drink you’ll have to go chase staff (if you’re lucky to even find one). However, the tiny pool in the club members only section was not well maintained, the wooden floor boards need urgent repair and if you’re wanting a drink you’ll have to go chase staff (if you’re lucky to even find one). The beach club music is pretty cool but not from 5 pm till 11 pm at night...that drove us crazy! As hubby already had mentioned, it’s pretty sad that the hotel can’t provide enough lounging chairs for the amount of people in the club area...getting up at 6:30 am just to secure a seat is not cool! Breakfast was amazing though! Read less

My wife and I just stayed 7 nights at the Ayodya Resort in the Palace section which is supposed to be the club section of the resort. The reason why we decided to only give three points are as follows. The good points of the Ayodya Palace: - The staff was very nice and helpful during our stay. They remebered our names which made us feel a little bit more welcome as in a normal resort. - Although we had booked a garden view room, we received a free upgrade to an ocean view room which was very nice. - The laundry service which is included for palace guests and allowes you to get 4 pieces of laundry cleaned every day, worked very well and the clothes came back cleaned and ironed every time. - The breakfast menu was very good, not only could we choose from a big selection which was nicely presented in the breakfast room, but we could also choose freshly cooked dishes from a tablet which included big dishes like freshly cooked sausages incl. eggs, bacon and so on as well as freshly made muesli, fruit bowles and my personal favourite eggs Benedict with bacon and salmon. - The rooms were very clean, bedding and towels got changed every day. We chose to get the bedding changed every 3rd day to preserve water which was another option but got fresh towels every day. - The staff would make our beds every day when we went for breakfast as well as in the evening before going to bed. - At 3 pm we received complementary snacks like nice toasties, canapes with prawns and fruit as well as free soft drinks, coffee and tea during the whole day. - From 6 pm until 7:30 pm we received complementary cocktails, beer, wine as well as cheese and some more canapes. The negative points of the Ayodya Palace: - Although the Palace section is selling itself as a kids free area which we wanted (not because we don't like kids but to relaxe without noise), we had kids in this area which were quite noisy and were jumping into the pool (which was the Palaces private pool). This was quite a let down as we payed 1000 dollars more to have a quiet holiday. - The Palace pool as well as beach area is quiet small. This was a major let down for us as we would have like to spend more time at the beach front instead at the pool. If we wanted spend the day at the beach area, we had to get up at 6:30 am to get some towels and to reserve a day bed. If we came at 7 am, all the day beds were already reserved by other Palace guests and you missed out. Although the area at the beach front is quiet big, the Ayodya Palace decided not to supply enough day beds for every Palace guest which does not make sense. - The Palace pool is quiet dirty from the trees around the pool. As we had stayed at the Grand Hyatt before we know how a pool can be if the pool staff keeps and eye on it all the time. This pool had quiet a lot of flying insects in it which must have fallen in and then drowned. It also seems to me that the pool filter system is to small to me able to keep up with the amount of small Read less

Excellent resort in a quiet area of Bali. Great for couples and families who are really looking to relax. Not great for singles, as it is really geared to groups and families. Area is quiet and full of resorts.

The stay at your hotel was great. We liked everything, service, staff, food, territory. Loved the handmade squirrels, evening music. I would like to come to your hotel many more times. Hotel Ayoda Palace.

Nothing wrong with the resort in particular. It is very old and dated but clean and tidy, staff are very attentive. Breakfast buffet ticks all the boxes but certainly nothing amazing.
