We upgraded to a room with a runway view. Had lots of fun watching planes from the large window in our room overlooking the runway. The hotel itsekf was awesome, from the bar to the rooms. Our bathroom was the nicest of all of the Fairmont Hotels that I've stayed. The service was top notch and room service was delicious. The only negative thing is its pricey but the convenience factor of being right in the airport makes the cost well worth it. We had an early flight and we just walked out of our room took the elevator down and was inside the airport. You can't beat that. Read less

The staff were awesome, the room was nice and clean and the view of the behind the scenes activity of a busy international airport were fascinating, but we asked for a cot for an adult. It was in the room but was made up with sheets that were way too big and one thin blanket. My husband used the cot and complained of being cold so I remade the bed & found another blanket in the closet, unfortunately my husband ended up with what looked like bites on his arms & legs, I suspect the spare blanket was the cause. Why wouldn't the hotel supply the same quality bedding for the cot as they do for the king sized bed? Also, the hotel failed to equip the room for three people. There was a shortage of glasses, towels & clothes hangers, they were supplied after we requested them but they knew there were three of us and we shouldn't have had to ask... The other issue we had was with the Christmas Dinner I booked for my family, the food was not as advertised. In fact the turkey dinner was atrocious, third rate at best and not worth the $95.00 per person up front charge. Very disappointing meal and not on a par with the rest of the operation at all. The location of the hotel is convenient. My room was sparkling clean and extremely comfortable. I loved the option of taking a much needed relaxing bath and used the salts provided. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I will return!

When I travel to Vancouver I actually look forward to staying in this hotel. Just really great service, nice rooms, excellent gym and pool and first rate restaurant and bar. It’s not cheap but it’s definitely worth it especially after getting off of a long flight.
