Dining is also a treat at the Fairmont with the award-winning Globe at YVR Restaurant not to be missed. To the point of getting emails on what we liked, what we needed, what we didn’t like before hand so they could have the room perfect for us. Everything was there that we could’ve needed, extra waters, beer, wine etc. thank you much

Great place for a 12 hour layover. I was quickly assigned a room. I went down to the hotel. Excellent food and drinks. Went upstairs to room, very quiet and very clean. Slept for about 8 hours before catching my flight to London.

So I must admit I'm quite choked. This hotel is one of my favourites for comfort and convenience when connecting for an early morning flight. I love the Fairmont brand and stay with them as much as possible. This experience from booking to departure left me a bit cooled to them. First, the price for a room was gouge level at $500 per night. Then they charged me extra for a third person, even though we were still only using the two beds. The extra charge is $32.71. I've never been charged at a Fairmont for an extra person. And this was with my member discount and non-cancellable status. Today on TripAdvisor, I see the rooms are going for $328. I know, supply and demand, etc. But still. It's just a room, even if it is a very comfortably appointed room. There is both a bar fridge (fully stocked) and a separate fridge for your own items. The amenities are lovely. The beds are very comfy. The sound proofing is undeniably excellent. There are too few electrical outlets and some items are starting to look a little worn. The room service breakfast is expensive. Seriously, $26 for coffee, juice, a muffin and a crumpet! Plus delivery and service charge. I get it that luxury hotels charge more but honestly this struck me as excessive. My booking experience tainted my stay, I'm sorry to say. Read less

Everything about our stay was perfect - the staff, the room, the breakfast, and the view. I recommend using the valet parking or get good instructions regarding self-parking. Make sure to have the buffet breakfast. Its fantastic.
