Sandman Hotel Vancouver City Centre

Vancouver, Canada

The hotel

Wonderfully located in the entertainment district of Vancouver, this is a comfortable, modern hotel offering a home-from-home base from which to explore the city. All attractions are within walking distance, including some great shops, bars and restaurants. After a busy day, it’s lovely to relax in the hotel’s atrium pool, or head to the fitness centre instead complete with Jacuzzi for reclining in. Sandman Hotel Vancouver City Centre is also home to the Shark Club Bar & Grill, one of the city’s hottest nightspots with big-screen TVs (30 of them at the last count!), a dance floor and an open-concept kitchen. A great place to kickback with a cocktail or a craft beer, feast on favourite dishes too, such as ribs and wings, whilst getting in the mood for a lively night out. Stayed here with my wife for 2 days in May 2019. Room was basic with a lack of certain amenities. Hotel does not provide bathroom accessories upon request. Biggest issue we had qas with the window ac in the room. It was loud, stopped and started every 5 mins and the thermostat did not work. Resulting in two very uncomfortable nights of sleep.… Read more

Location is pretty good...close to library square, gastown and to transit. Would definitely think twice however on staying here. Read less

Ugh! My room was so loud it sounded like the window was open, the AC unit sounded like it was dying so it was soooo loud. The chair in the room was stained and so was the carpet. Could hear club music till wee hours and again window so thin it sounded like the window was open. The cleaner came in at 8:50am without knocking first! Would not… Read more

I know the price is in accordance with downtown Vancouver, it's just very high and even with a 'discount' it just covered all the other charges. Room and bed comfortable and you can't beat the location! Quiet hotel and nice staff. I didn't get a chance to use the pool but I know it's there and nice. If you're there without transportation and… Read more

On our way to our cruise, we stayed two nights at the Sandman Hotel. It a lovely hotel in the centre of Vancouver west. We could walk to many restaurants and night life. Though the rooms are small, they are very up to date and clean. Staff was extremely friendly and informative.

the rooms are okay, very dated. Good location. I found two bed bugs in my room and my right arm is covered in welts. I'd avoid this place if possible. the bugs i found were in the bathroom and they looked like bed bugs but i wasn't sure. Waking up with welts all over my arm and leg confirms it for me.
