Staying in downtown Nashville is expensive !The Capitol Hotel was one of the least expensive places to stay, and still be able to walk downtown. While this hotel is a little dated, I am a fan of outdoor corridors. Property and rooms were very well looked after and spotless. Entry to your room is from outside along a walkway with very sad looking indoor outdoor carpeting. The room we had was 2 double beds with only enough room to walk between bureau and beds, not an inch to spare. The tub ( shower) did not have a slip resistant mat and there was no grab bar for getting out of a wet shower for safety purposes. The walls are paper thin. We heard our neighbors, talking, laughing, sneezing and much of this was done around midnight. The picture presented online is misleading to say the least. Although this has recently been updated it should be called what it is, a motel. I had found this at a decent price online but some of the prices I see listed for this “hotel” is absolute robbery for what you get. Beware!! Connecticut Read less

It was a rainy Day when we were there and had no clue we had to outside to go into our room. . . Our key would not work and we got very wet. Once inside it was small and crowded. My husband got a bruise on his leg from a chair that was jammed in a small space. Ver overpriced. Live and learn.

Seth was our shuttle driver and he was amazing. Very personable and fun! Made our first adventure here entertaining by pointing out fun things to do and the hot spots to see. Would definitely recommend!
