The hotel

Located close to the downtown eats and entertainment, eclectic shops, and the State Capitol, you’ll find the Canopy by Hilton Austin, a convenient location to explore the Texas capital. And what better way to explore than by bicycle? Complimentary rental is available, so you can ride along the trails of Lady Bird Lake, or through Zilker Metropolitan Park to try out the variety of activities on offer. The hotel itself is contemporary, cosy, and most importantly functional. The rooms feature designs by local artists, and the gel memory foam beds will have you sleeping like a baby after all that exploring! In the evenings try out Verbena for an authentic, hearty meal, before retiring to the outdoor courtyard that provides a calming oasis within the city, featuring fireplaces and water features that provide a relaxing environment to grab a drink, sit, and reminisce over the day’s adventures.

Great service, great rooms, great easy valet. Big walk in shower, good pillows. Environmentally friendly with avoiding water bottles and providing good filtered water on each floor with glass carafe. Well done

Comfortable and fun hotel in a nice location. Staff is pleasant Hilton’s canopy collection is a bright spot in airport folio and I enjoyed staying at this one. Too bad Parking cost so much but I guess that’s the price of doing business in downtown Austin.

The front desk staff were absolutely amazing. The room and location was perfect as well. We enjoyed the pool and the complimentary credits to Verbena. I would absolutely visit the Canopy again on my next trip to Austin!

As a Hilton Honors member, I was interested in staying at this hotel, but skeptical based on the reviews regarding the noise level. I decided to ask for a "quiet" room and was given an interior room (no balcony) on the 4th floor. The room was very quiet even though there was music on the street below. Sixth St is hoping, with outdoor patio bars everywhere, so you need to make sure that your room is somewhat protected. The hotel is very nice, a bit expensive (but in line with others in Austin). There's a small pool on the 2nd floor. I ate at the bar on the ground level that was good. The room was spacious with an entry way and sofa. The bathroom has a good size shower. The best part was the staff, who were very helpful for things in the hotel. (They weren't so good with restaurant recommendations, but the Internet knows them all. They had an interesting in-room breakfast option: yogurt, muffin and juice delivered (in a brown bag) up until 9 am for $5, great when you don't want to spend a lot of time in the restaurant. I would return to this hotel if my travels bring me to Austin again! Thank you Nick and Maddy and the front desk staff. Read less
