Overall this was a great stay. I came for a business conference and had plans to move to the Marriott Courtyard Inn in Austin after the conference and extend my stay in the city in order to visit family. I went to that Marriott and it was not clean, the pool was terrible and the room smelled, so I cancelled with the Marriott and went back to the Hyatt and I was happy to pay a little more for an enjoyable stay. The pool area is lovely and the location is perfect, right next to Ladybird Lake and walking trails. A few times the staff forgot to bring up coffee and/or just didn't seem friendly, but overall, everyone was very helpful. It would be nice if pool hours were longer and if the bar and eating areas were open all the time. The rooms are a little worn but clean and comfortable. My biggest complaint is that the rooms aren't very soundproof and two mornings in a row I could hear someone in the next room puking their brains out from drinking too much the night before. Gross! ... Hot tip: Ask for a room with a view of Ladybird Lake and the Austin skyline! Read less

The hotel is in a great location and is in good condition, BUT the entire middle of the hotel is open to a bar that closes at 11 pm on weeknights and midnight on the weekend. It is crazy loud with drunk people laughing, yelling, dropping glasses, and cheering.

Excellent views of the river and convenient walk to Congress bridge to view the bats. Great place to relax and visit with family. Had great service from all employees we met, we felt welcomed and most definitely a place to return to.
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Horrible staff the only person to try to help us was a man named Ramon.

Your front desk staff were rude and bothered to check us in or answer any questions. Rude to my husband refused to give him a key to the room. Never asked for his ID. It was the same as mine. When she called the room she was so rude to me. We don't understand her behavior.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff was ok. No Room Service, No Laundry Room, No microwave in rooms. The restaurants in the hotel was over expensive with limited menu items. Not really kids or family friendly.
