Anchored in downtown Vancouver, basking in the restoration of Old World craftsmanship and the addition of the most luxurious modern furnishings and latest technology, is the Rosewood Hotel Georgia (RHG). This legendary roaring 20's and Art Deco masterpiece is surrounded by 1st class shops, enticing cafes, incredible restaurants, swanky boutiques, groovy entertainment...what's left...oh ya ..the Vancouver Art Museum is just around the corner. And speaking of art.....works are displayed throughout the RHG from one of the largest private collections of Canadian art viewable by the public. The recent facelift in the lobby is snazzy with a near perfect fusion of modern sophistication against a historical backdrop. It retains an 'Old World' feel brought on by the wood paneling, Art Deco detailing, terrazzo floors, high ceiling, crystal chandelier, sweeping staircase, impressive fireplace and some of that stand-out art on display. This space feels like you are in a residential living room....a cozy inviting place that makes it a perfect place to relax. My deluxe room provided stunning surroundings, was spacious, was robed with elegant furnishings and a calming palette of blue, ivory and chocolate. An Art Deco vibe persisted with 20's style lamps and furniture. A spa-inspired bathroom featured heated floors to keep your tootsies toasty, marble finishes, a walk-in rain forest shower and a luxurious soaker tub. The hotels illustrious former guests include hi-flying CEO's, Royalty, Politicians, Movie celebrities, Rock stars.........why Elvis himself vacated Graceland for a stay at the RHG......the King has spoken.. The RHG is lined with amenities including Sense: the Rosewood Spa, an indoor swimming pool, a chic lounge and the Hawksworth: a signature fine ding restaurant. The award winning Hawksworth restaurant at the RHG is phenomenal and where you can feast on a bevy sensational food items. Chef David Hawkswoth and his culinary brigade, guardians of the platter, whip up beautifully presented fresh, seasonal, and local food with an Asian slant. My favourite Hawksworth offering is the roasted Pacific Sablefish with Asian accompaniments...presentation is so spectacular that I didn't know whether to stare at it or eat it....I did succumb to my appetite.....it tasted as good as it looked. The Hawksworth cocktail bar is noteworthy and a great complement to the restaurant. It pumps out craft made cocktails, a must of which, is the Signature Hotel Georgia Cocktail made from an original 20's recipe. It's almost a right of passage to the RHG to down one of these babies. Sense, the on-site spa at the RHG, offers everything from facials to massages to beauty treatments to help take the edge off hectic living. This 5 star spa is an oasis for Vancouver locals and visitors alike. Combined with the Spa is a well appointed fitness centre, stunning salt water lap pool which jointly provides a facility for physical and spiritual rejuvenation. So if seek a hotel in the middle of Vancouver, with a blend of 'old world' Art Deco and modern architecture in a luxury framework, where service is a cut above.........then try the Rosewood Hotel Georgia..........Elvis Slept in Luxury Here. We stayed here last year when there was a trade dispute with a few of the hotels in Vancouver. This meant there were protests outside the hotel and the property was staffed by a skeleton team. However you would have never known, the service was absolutely outstanding. The reception team really cared about us and our stay and couldn't do enough for us, as well as giving us really helpful advice. The room was huge and had everything we could have needed. Location is great, right in downtown Vancouver and the breakfast at the restaurant was fantastic. Great pool and spa as well. Highly recommend hiring bikes from down the road, you can see most of the city of safe cycleways including Stanely park and Granville island. The only small issue was the security guards (hired due to the protests) weren't always particularly friendly, when we arrived they refused to help us with our bags. I totally appreciate they weren't hired for this but they could have been a bit more polite about it. Overall though this didn't affect our stay - the best option in Vancouver and a terrific hotel! Beautiful 1-night at the Rosewood Hotel. Never have I been to a hotel with so much class and exceptional service. From check in to check out. Everything was handled with care and attention. We stayed for one night, with a view of the art gallery. They provided such good care of us. Definitely want to spend many more nights at the Rosewood. This… Read more

i landed by accident in this hotel, because a friend said to me: to kill the jet lag only one place in Vancouver. The luxury room was in the status but the staff was so shadowing I felt i was at home. Nobody around just to show me i was in hotel. The luxury is the silence the absence of running staff with their concédant smile. A great time… Read more

Hotel Georgia was a beautiful and very comfortable hotel. Not only is the terrace a nice incentive to spend some time outside, but their rooms were warm and beds were big.
