Location was great, breakfast was good and the staff were ok. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. We were surprised that there was no fridge in the room and water was not supplied, although we found out, that you could refill your own bottle in the gym, IF it actually had water in the dispenser. Location was great, breakfast was good and the staff were ok. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. We were surprised that there was no fridge in the room and water was not supplied, although we found out, that you could refill your own bottle in the gym, IF it actually had water in the dispenser. The housekeepers collect your towels first thing in the morning, so be aware that if you haven’t showered, you will not receive another towel until they service your room and that could be later in the afternoon. They are very precise when leaving coffee, tea etc and one day they had run out of coffee and only supplied decaf. I’ve never been in a 4-5 star hotel that do not supply at the very least shampoo, they give you one small bottle of body wash per day. Lastly their e-keys to the room are terrible, I had to got to reception every single day to get a new one, the guy told me to give the key to reception before I go back to the room to make sure it will work. This hotel needs to lift their game, I will not stay there again. Read less

Quick, no fuss, despite the reception desk being super busy and her dealing with a couple of people at the same time. All business as usual. Two days later, she was on duty when I checked out: she remember straight away my room number and my name before I even started talking. That just knocked me back! Great touch! Great member of staff! This motel is centrally located, the breakfast superb and the staff friendly. The reason I downgraded it was the lighting in the room is poor. We arrived after dark and it was hard to see the numbers for the room safe. This is a very pleasant hotel in a good location. It was our first stop on arrival from Europe on a night flight. This is a very pleasant hotel in a good location. It was our first stop on arrival from Europe on a night flight. Reception was able to let us check in to one of our rooms early, so we could shower and change before heading out for lunch. All of the staff were helpful, polite and friendly. The rooms are nicely appointed, of a good size with nice bathrooms and furnishings. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were very quiet. Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of dishes, including freshly cooked eggs and some regional dishes. I would certainly recommend staying here, and believe that it is very good value for money. The bar on the ground floor served great food and drinks if you don't feel like going too far. Read less

Great place, location right opposite Madela Square shopping center. Good on site restaurant and bar and great selection of breakfast. Safe, clean and would recommend as a short stay in Johannesburg.
