Nice 4 star Hotel downtown Toronto in an animated entertainment district. Quality of room & equipments: VERY GOOD ! Service: stylish, polite and friendly. Quality of food: VERY GOOD ! So nothing to complain if you‘re just on a short term visit without any wish or need to have a big show... PRAGMATISM... I just can state that this hotel is GOOD...

We had stayed at the Hotel Le Germain at Maple Leaf Square and loved it so wanted to try the Mercer location for a change of scenery. Only issue was the construction across the street but that is obviously out of their control. You will not be disappointed to book this hotel! Read less

Le Germain scores for very comfortable rooms (with great shower), attentive service, and location on a quiet (except for some construction!) small street nestled in Toronto's bustling downtown. Everything well thought through - simply a pleasure overall.

The hotel is located in the theatre district and not far from the CN tower. The staff were helpful, lovely Molton Brown toiletries and good size rooms for a city location. The shower was amazing. However the rooms are so dark, chocolate brown walls and wooden blinds, no door into the bathroom. Just wasn’t for me.

We have stayed at Le Germain hotels for more than twenty years - Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Brossard, Charlevoix. The staff on Mercer Street announced that we'd been guests fifty times a fews years back. Something changed two years ago and we wondered if the Germain family had sold its hotels. The front desk staff embarrassed us in front of other guests referring to a special rate promotion. We alerted the manager and he assured us that it would not happen again. However, we had another incident with respect to a rate negotiation with the front desk and again were not treated with respect. The manager again assured us that this would be resolved. He actually thought that we would return to Le Germain and he left it that he's speak to us personally the next time we stayed. We were taken aback. Why would we stay at Le Germain? We want to visit Charlevoix and Quebec City again. Sadly we cannot. They are beautiful properties. Read less
