Loews Chicago

Chicago, USA

The hotel

Situated just a block over from the Chicago River and the same again from North Michigan Avenue, you'll find yourself immersed in one of the Windy City's most vibrant shopping and entertainment districts with plenty of things to do all within walking distance. However, the adage why go out for burgers when you've got steak at home certainly rings true. No matter when you're planning on checking out the flame grilled options there's always time for a few sociable tipples with both ETA Restaurant + Bar and Streeterville Social providing a seductive selection of cocktails and bubbly. If you're feeling guilty for over indulging, then forget about it and go back for seconds! But if you simply have to let off some steam there's The Luxury Spa to help you glide back down to earth in time to do it all over again tomorrow.

Great service, very clean. Erika at the desk was awesome. Amazing service from Sue on the rooftop. Clean rooms! Appreciate all the safety and cleanliness protocols. Our view was amazing as well. We will definitely be back.

The hotel property is a top quality facility, the rooms are clean and well appointed. The staff form the front desk to the Starbucks are all friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this property.

This hotel is okay, it’s clean, staff is friendly. That’s about it. Parking is awful, no room service, food deliveries can’t be brought up to your room so you have to come to the lobby. No food at the rooftop bar just expensive average cocktails. If you’re looking for luxury, look elsewhere.

I like how this hotel is close to all the places to eat and see so I can walk if I wanted to or just grab and Uber to to tik places. You do need a mask once you step into the hotel and they have hand sanitizer everywhere. Checking in was quick and my room was amazing and it was clean and nice views of the city!!! Your website offered a dining and parking package, which I purchased because I am disabled. I thought that meant that there were dining options onsite, and valet would be available. Here’s the thing, I know we are dealing with a pandemic, but other facilities have dining options like room service or take out, to keep people socially distanced. Since the package was available, I assumed you had an option onsite. Your website did not say anything about the services not being available. As a matter of fact, I had to click through two links just to find a generic statement saying that SOME services may not be available. I had to limp my way to and from the garage 6 times. I informed guest services at check in that I was disabled, and my handicap placard is clearly visible on my vehicle. If I would have known that I would not be able to get a meal onsite, and that I would have to hike it to the garage and back, I would not have chosen Loews. As a five star hotel, I expect more, that’s what we pay for. Additionally, the room was available for far less on Priceline, and I chose to pay more due to the package you offered on your site. It was also supposed to include an upgrade in accommodations, and all I asked was a view of the lake, which I was told wasn’t available. So I got a standard room on a higher floor, which makes no difference to me. Not one of the package perks were available to me. I struggled during my stay, to get in and out to get what I needed, so I ended up having one meal the entire time I was there, and stayed in the rest of the time, and I’m now struggling at home due to the amount of walking I had to do while I was there. Definitely not what I expected. Read less
