Loews Chicago

Chicago, USA

The hotel

Situated just a block over from the Chicago River and the same again from North Michigan Avenue, you'll find yourself immersed in one of the Windy City's most vibrant shopping and entertainment districts with plenty of things to do all within walking distance. However, the adage why go out for burgers when you've got steak at home certainly rings true. No matter when you're planning on checking out the flame grilled options there's always time for a few sociable tipples with both ETA Restaurant + Bar and Streeterville Social providing a seductive selection of cocktails and bubbly. If you're feeling guilty for over indulging, then forget about it and go back for seconds! But if you simply have to let off some steam there's The Luxury Spa to help you glide back down to earth in time to do it all over again tomorrow.

The parking garage roof was so low our Ram Truck cannot go thru, we need to figure out to found parking around the area not even valet Parking on the Property. Only issue on the Stay. Parking around over 50$ Per day.

Billed as a 5-Star by Priceline but more like a 3-Star. No parking service, No luggage assistance, Linens & Towels changed only upon request. The fellow who checked us in made us to be 3rd class citizens because we booked via Priceline. Priceline should have never promoted this hotel for something it was not.

We did a staycation in downtown to get out the house for a bit, Our room was clean and had a great view which my kids enjoyed. I would recommend this hotel and return back for another staycation. Rate a 10

Our stay at the Loews was disappointing. When we walked into the "Grand" Corner room, it looked more like a fishbowl of offices and apartments. Not a grand view at all. I called downstairs and they offered to upgrade to a nicer view for $150. When we got upstairs to the 10th floor suite, the view was OK (not great compared to some of the other city hotels). The worst part was the bathroom which had black stains from mold all along the grout. The tile looked old and cheap. When we called the manager, instead of moving us to another room, they offered to "send an engineer up". No thanks, I don't want some dude in our room bleaching the bathroom at 9pm after a long day. Thanks for the offer though! Also - their parking garage is not attached, so you'll have to walk a block to their "official parking" for $30. In the end, for about the same price, we could've gotten a great view and 5 star service at a luxury hotel. Instead, we got kind of cheap hotel rooms with cheap views for over $400. There were 2 great things about this hotel. First, they have a Starbucks open in the morning by the lobby. That was awesome to have first thing in the morning. Second, the bed was uber comfy.
